A ruthless omega with a chip on his shoulder meets the alpha patient enough to show him love.Nolan found solace as an agent in the Omega Assassins Club. The only place he ever felt accepted, it is his home and the other operatives in his pack are his family. He knows he’s messed up, everyone in his pack is in their own way, but Nolan’s past refuses to let him think about the future.Without his … future.
Without his pack knowing, Nolan moonlights in a kink house where the rich and powerful pay him large amounts to tell them they were worthless. He doesn’t have to touch them, not if he doesn’t want to, and on the plus side, he gets to see alphas for what they truly are, spineless.
But when one of his clients is dead before Nolan can walk into the room and the police rush in, he knows he’s been set up. Too bad the detective assigned to his case is the only alpha Nolan ever opened his heart to. The same man who had set Nolan’s life into the tailspin that ended with him begging to be let into the OAC.
Detective Benjamin Barlow never forgot the omega who got away. Nolan had dug a hole in his heart that still festered, but the self-possessed omega he sees now is nothing like the shy, grateful boy of his memories. Nolan’s loathing for him tells Benjamin there’s more to the omega’s story than he’s letting on.
It’s clear someone is after Nolan, and after a second attempt at his life, Benjamin puts his foot down. His omega will stay with him, in his home, maybe then they can find out what tore them apart all those years ago.
But will he be able to accept the truth?
Shatter is the fourth book in the Omega Assassins Club. It is packed with action but with the same spice, humor, and heart. A swoon-worthy HEA is guaranteed! Other books in the Omega Assassins Club include:
Fervor
Quench
Behemoth

This is a fantastic addition to the series! There is darkness, betrayal, and – eventually – love. This is a harsh world for omegas, and Nolan has received some of the worst treatment, from his parents to the system to the world. This book really reveals the skewed world Nolan lives in and the twisted *justice* system. Fortunately the former love of his childhood is there to help him when he is framed. Nolan and Benjamin were both led on, lied to, and betrayed by their parents regarding each other, though, so it isn’t the warmest reunion. Nolan’s friends in the OAC are there to help, too, in the continuing war on injustice and corrupt Alphas. This is a wild ride full of action, mystery, surprises, and betrayal. I recommend this book and the whole series.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
So, Nolan has a history that completely blew me away and explains so much. Benji finds himself questioning what he believed to be true. And both are facing their past hole their present is basically exploding around them.
A twist happens that will surprise you!
Two men who are meant to be together but are torn apart. Nolan lives with his pain but tries to move on with his life but when fate brings Benjamin back into his life everything changes. The two men must learn to trust and love again. It seems that someone wants Nolan out of the picture, but Benjamin is determined not to let that happen and as they spend more time together and start to open up Nolan and Benjamin find the truth but is it enough?
This is a beautiful story full of emotions and strong characters. I enjoyed seeing these men find their way back to each other. Their story is a wonderful addition to this series. The author does a great job of keeping this series fresh and each book is engaging. Nolan and Benjamin’s book is full of emotions and will pull at your heart. I loved seeing how these two work to find a happy ever after. They learn just how strong their bond is and the love shows through in everything that they do. Once the men find the truth about their love nothing will stand in their way.
Redemption, second chances, suspense, finding family and a heartbreaking romance, all in one story. Absolutely amazing read!
Dearest Nolan, the omega assassin with the hardest, most brittle edges… it figured he had a painful past, but I wasn’t prepared for the emotional heartbreak of it. I really liked how the story built up, showing us so much of his youth and relationship with Benji, before everything went to pieces in the cruelest way. I loved how fierce and strong Nolan is throughout the story, such a survivor, and how Benji always saw and admired that side of him, and when Nolan shows his softer, more vulnerable side, he is just impossible to resist. I loved seeing Benji and Nolan find their way back to each other, they certainly deserved their second chance!
It was also a lot of fun and heartwarming to see Nolan becoming more secure about his place in the (new) OAC and finding himself accepted and cared for by his friends.
The epilogue was everything I hoped for. Absolutely beautiful and deeply moving.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved getting an insight into why Nolan is the way he is. His back story was very hard to read. All I can say is that the bad guys totally deserved what they got. I’m glad Nolan found out about OAC when he needed them the most. I loved the connection between Nolan and Benji, even right from the start and again when they found each other after years. I’m glad how well Benji believed and accepted Nolan and the guys explanation about what they do and that they’re all apart of OAC, considering that he’s a police detective. I loved how after Benji reacted badly when Nolan told him about the procedure he chose to have and the reasoning behind it because he never wanted to go through losing another son like he already had. After Benji thought about it and made up with Nolan when he saw him again, he explained himself and that what he should’ve said was that he agrees/supports Nolan’s decision, and that if Nolan wants to have kids they can adopt, which Nolan was completely ecstatic about. I also loved how Benji used the information that Nolan told him about what happened the night that he was attacked and Ben was taken from him to see if he could find Ben and surprise Nolan. It was such a cute moment between Omega father and his lost son Ben. I’m looking forward to reading Zed, Remmington and Peppa’s story. I’d definitely recommend this book, series & author to everyone.
I absolutely enjoyed reading this truly outstanding MM/Mpreg romance with a “second-chance” undertone. It is somewhat darker than the previous books but it is definitely an excellent addiction to the “Assassins Club Series” There are some character crossovers from the previous books but this book can be read as a standalone. The plot is well-paced & full of unexpected, intriguing situations/events. There is good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are strong-willed individuals & are quite realistic with their emotional feelings & expectations but have the inclination to be devious and/or dangerous at times.
There is: a omega assassin (Nolan) with memories of a painful past is framed for a murder he did not commit then a alpha (Detective Benjamin Barlow) from his past is placed in charge of his case, a Omega Assassin Club, law enforcement, assassins, omegas, alphas, betas, corruption, twists & turns, suspense, intrigue, secrets, mystery, action, adventure, danger, threats, enemies, confrontations, violence, conflict, deceit, betrayal, devastating memories, verbal disagreements, manipulations, protectiveness, discovery, decisions, unexpected surprises, complications, mates, love, happiness, some steam & a delightfully, happy conclusion. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading this genre.
Wonderful continuation of this series!. An interesting, action-packed, full of danger plot, in between a second chance romance with many heartbreaking situations caused by miscommunication between Nolan and Benjamin, but with the hope for an HEA. The backstory was again brilliant as in the previous books, and family and love saved the day. I cried a little but enjoyed a lot until the very end of this book four. Great reading!! I cannot wait for book 5!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
