Fortuna to the rescue again!
Pepper finds a map that just might explain what is going on in Mystic’s End and convinces Fortuna to go with her to search for clues in the forest. On their way back to their car, they stumble over a body with a smoky quartz crystal near by. The crystal sends flashes to Fortuna on the final moments of the man. The county decides that the death was accidental but the ghost trapped in the crystal says otherwise. Fortuna will need to solve the murder to get him out. I love this series and all the quirky characters.
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
Things are still messed up between Fortuna and Martin and Pepper and Gabe. Two months and they’re still being ghosted! Urg, MEN! Anyway, while Fortuna and Pepper hike out to find the mystic book, on the way back Pepper trips over a dead body. Long story short, spirit trapped in crystal and until the murder is figured out, spirit stays trapped. This dead guy is a piece of work, too. Again, MEN! The police and medical examiner in this town are so corrupt. Good thing Gabe and Ollie decided to do the right thing this time and look into the murder even though it was declared an accident.
So much happened in this story with the relationships and friendships. Magic was abound in this book too! The next book should be really good since more secrets should finally come out.

Our heroine gets dragged into an investigation when she finds a body and no one else takes it seriously. But the spirit of the dead won’t leave her alone, so she it going to have to take the case.
This is book three of the series but it is written as a standalone. All the essential bits are explained pretty early on, so no worries starting here.
This is a cozy mystery with a touch of magic and a somewhat reluctant witch. The story is well written and easy to read with just the right amount of humor to keep things light. The characters are great and we get to delve into them a bit through the story, giving them a bit of growth which is very nice. The mystery is also engaging and kept me entertained throughout the book. Overall, a very fun read and I look forward to reading more in the series.
Highly recommended.

Fortuna is distressed because Martin has been ignoring her, but is determined to carry on. Gabe is also angry with her and Pepper, and refuses to talk with either one of them. However, when they literally stumble over a body, they have to call him. To help solve this mystery, they follow the ghostly clues from an app and a haunted rock. I became engrossed in this mystery, and love the snarky relationship between Fortuna and Pepper.

This series is very enjoyable, there are some very good characters and the storylines are engaging and well crafted. In this book a map leads to hidden treasure and a dead body, needless to say this leads to Fortuna investigating, as the local police once again treat the death as accidental.
There are some light-hearted moments and also some very exciting action. Fortuna also decides to finally talk to Miss Bess.
The only negative that I can find is that there are lots of references to earlier books in the series, and also to the previous Magical Midway series, so it isn’t really a standalone. But apart from that it is an excellent read.

Fortuna and Pepper are having a hard time coping with the extreme reactions of Gabe and Martin after their last adventure
There is a large difference between stepping back from someone a bit and trying to completely ignore them in a very small town, then giving them only the benefit of anger
Secrets on many sides. Martin makes an excellent point to Fortuna. What she is really seeking is not an external code of ethics, but the truth of her own morals.
Finding her own way, and any connections to the town or her family are adventures ongoing and still ahead for Fortuna
Intense and paranormal adventures!
This is book 3 of the Mystic’s End Mysteries series. The story is well written with a great plot. I love the characters and they are well developed. This is a really great series and if you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries then you will not be disappointed. I would recommend reading.

Busybody journalist Pepper found a map to a secret place for the mystics of mystic end to retrieve a book and wants Fortuna – as the new town mystic – to come with her and retrieve the book. Although she was instigating the situation she is shocked when the magic comes forward. And on their way back they stumble upon a dead man, whose soul, they later find out, was trapped in a piece of crystal.
Solving the murder and trying to figure out what to do with her relationship with Salvi keeps her busy.
As usual an entertaining cozy murder with lots of old – and new – unique characters and some newfangled technology.

Mega Crystals and Godfathers
Oh, this is a riveting episode of the Mystic End Mysteries. It opens almost as many doors as it closes. It seems that mysteries abound in Mystic End. This series mixes fun paranormal with some serious mysteries. This author knows how to weave a fascinating story that the reader just can’t put down. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
Fortuna Delhi lives in Mystic End and teaches art classes to the elderly residents, which can be quite challenging. Unlike children who are learning to behave, the elderly feel they no longer have to, so there are no filters on the things they say and conversations can turn into a free-for-all!
Later, when Pepper Stanford discovers a sketched map, she and Fortuna head out to investigate Mystic End’s secrets. They literally stumble over the body of the postman, Tom Wilson, on the walk back. Although the police rule the death an accident, Fortuna is certain it wasn’t. Finding Tom’s soul trapped inside the crystal that was used to kill him, they now must solve the murder before they can get justice for him and free his soul. But Tom doesn’t remember who killed him, so it won’t be easy digging up clues!
This was a good mystery with a well-paced story line and good characters. There are also other mysteries within the big one for the reader to uncover. Grab your copy and enjoy the search!
The story line was great, the character work was fabulous, and the book had a smooth flow to it. I was hooked from beginning to end. I look forward to the next one.

When Fortuna Delphi’s friend Pepper discovers a map that supposedly reveals what puts the mystic in Mystic’s End they head out to the forest to check it out. They stumble across the dead body of Tom Wilson, a mail carrier in Mystic’s End. When the police department rules it an accident, Fortuna is certain it wasn’t. The bloody smoky quartz crystal near the body gives her flashes of Tom’s last few seconds of life. It turns out Tom is trapped inside the crystal and Fortuna and Pepper are determined to solve the mystery and set him free. Book is best read if others in the series have been read first. Sketchy Charms is the third installment in Leanne Leeds new series about Fortuna Delhi’s new life in Mystic End. This is a fun series with character and world building making you feel right at home with these people.
The town of Mystic End has more secrets and corruption than any small town should have. It’s just hard to know who’s good and who’s bad. I really love this series.
When Fortuna and Pepper literally stumble over a body they must help solve the murder before they can free the soul of the victim that is now trapped inside the crystal that killed him. Fortuna has been trying to understand and to use her magic more, but has she learned enough to help this trapped soul.
You’ll need to read this book to find out how all this comes together. There are lessons to be learned regarding trust, lies, secrets, and greed in this page turning, thoroughly witchy 5 star cozy.

I love Fortuna and Mystic’s End
She has not spoken to Miss Bess about being the Mystic of Mystics End yet, but why not? And why has Gabe and Martin gone from being Enemies to best friend and neither gent has spoken to either Fortuna or Pepper in 2 months!
But Pepper is not taking things lying down, she has found a map and what do they find,,, well treasure obviously, but they also find a body forcing at the very least Gabe into having to speak to the ladies.
And talking of speaking, fed up of being the go between for Liz and resident ghost Fortuna has found an app that picks up the spiritual word, allowing Liz to talk to Spike without her.
There is a lot going on not least of all Pepper’s temper! And the murder/not murder talking rock. Intrigued…. read the book!
This is really taking Mystic’s End series forward, I love seeing the complexity of Pepper she truly is the epitome of “hurt the ones you love” and it seems there is a lot of that going on in Mystic’s End! The people who need to talk aren’t meanwhile the ones who shouldn’t won’t shut up!
This is a really good read and I cannot rate it highly enough!

A cozy mystery. Fortuna is a witch that is keeping her magic under strict control. Only a couple of people know. Her friend violates her confidence. Now she needs to decide who to tell and decide who she can trust. Her and Pepper find a dead man and then they have to solve his murder wanting to help him rest in peace.

Fortuna is working and dealing with the fact that both Martin and Gabe will not speak to her. Pepper informs of a location in the woods that they have to go to. Both of them set out to go there, what happens blows both of their minds. When they leave, they fall over a dead body. Things get crazy from for Fortuna. She will have to solve another mystery as the officials of Mystic End will not do anything.
I really enjoyed this book, as you see Fortuna dealing with her magic, what it means to use it. Her relationship with Martin and Gabe. There is the obvious murder that she will try to solve. Fortuna will have to decide what she wants to do with everything that is going on with her life. I am looking forward to the next book. I want to see where Fortuna goes from this point. I am not sure I like Fortuna with Martin or not.

Another great story by Leanne Leeds and a great continuation of the Mystic’s End series. A bit of friendship pains, a dollop of fun and a murder to solve. What could be better? Loved it! Can’t wait for the next book! Well done!
Secrets revealed. Magic unlocked. Fortuna and Pepper have to solve another murder that the local police think was just an accident. But the crystal stone used to kill Tom, trapped him in it and he can speak to them. But he doesn’t remember who killed him. Was it his wife who he was separated from, the other two partners who found a huge valuable crystal with him, or the woman he was having an affair with? Love and greed are great motivators for anger and murder. This was a great continuation of Fortuna’s story. Secrets, hers and friends are revealed. Fortuna learns to be less afraid of her magic and embrace it more. I love the characters in this series. They are funny, smart, have secrets, and problems they are dealing with, but they are there for each other when it counts.
