In the Black Sky Mountains of Colorado, Sheriff Derek Reaves has worked hard to maintain peace in his quiet, rural town. Now thanks to a paranoid tourist who swears he spotted a fairytale monster, hundreds of crazy supernatural and alien seekers are flooding Winchester for their own encounter of the bizarrest kind.
Unfortunately one beautiful news lady is a lot savvier, nosier and tenacious than all the others. If Derek doesn’t find a way to get rid of this inticing woman, Cryss Logan may very well uncover the dangerous secret Winchester has hidden all these years.
Which includes its own mysterious sheriff.

There is nothing worse then a reporter on a mission
Especially when it is personal. This is the perfect beginning to a brand-new series. The author has returned with all of the hooks that draw you into a great story. Right from the beginning she starts to build and shape her characters into ones that we will want to follow through to their HEAs, then she throws in a story that builds and builds until the crescendo breaks at the end. I love the byplay between the two leads and how everything goes back to family. I hope there are many more books in this series because I can’t wait to see what happens next.
First time in reading this author with her tempting me with dragons. Crystal is also curious about what is going on. Derek will be the male in this that makes our heart go pitter patter. There is a secret but this place wants it kept secret and thanks to a picture tons have come to see for themselves. Following these two actually was a joy. I also kept turning the pages to see what occurs next and how this unravels. We see who actually gets hunted. Enjoyed this one zot. Will try and catch this author again.
I loved the way this book started in turmoil and the excitement and chaos continued throughout the entire story. Chryss is a journalist and a survivor of a dragon massacre. She is afraid she is the sole survivor, but hasn’t given up hope. Derek is the county sheriff and also a dragon survivor. They start out at odds and it gets worse before it gets better. I love Derek’s adoptive mother, Miroc Silverbird. Being a native wise woman she tickled me with everything she said and knew. This was so interesting and exciting I had a hard time putting it down. When I stopped to sleep, I dreamed about the book and immediately would begin reading as soon as I woke up. There are several twists and turns that keep you guessing and enthralled. This is a book that I throughly enjoyed and want to read the rest of the series.
Wow…not everyone is who they seem to be in this paranormal, Dragon shifter romance. Twists and turns, evil, greedy people, murder and mayhem and surprises in store for the mates that have not a clue. Loved it!!
I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
5 CRANKY STARS
A wonderful story about shifters that doesn’t feel like a shifter story. In the beginning you aren’t even sure why the people are being killed. The story is fast paced at first and takes you in. The children are sent to safety only to disappear. Then we fast forward seventeen years and it feels like a whole different story except the location is the same.
I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one day. I found it well written and spellbinding. The characters are confusing in a good way. You’ll see when you read it that first impressions aren’t always right. No wars, no explicit sex but danger and love prevail throughout the storyline. The gist of the story is that a young hiker goes up the mountain to find himself. Instead he finds a dragon and takes a fuzzy picture. Somehow, the picture gets published and the “dragon hunters” descend on this small mountain town. The sheriff goes crazy trying to keep everyone under control and then a female reporter shows up. He does all he can to get her to leave town, but she is determined to get some type of story out of this town, even if it’s just about the new doctor. A mystery, suspense and love story rolled into one. Do dragons really exist?
An excellent start to a new series & this fascinating dragon shifter romance will grab the reader’s attention within the first few pages & will keep it until the last page has been turned & it can be read as a standalone. The well-paced plot is very interesting with some unusual or unexpected situations. The unique characters are strong-willed individuals that display realistic emotional feelings & react accordingly to them.
There is: a small town sheriff (Derek Reaves) has a dangerous secret & a nosy female reporter (Crystal Logan) is determined to find out what it is, dragon shifters, humans, Arcana Hunters, drama, intrigue, adventure, action, twists & turns, suspense, secrets, mystery, danger, threats, enemies/villains, abduction, devious plans, confrontations, conflict, violence, attractions, distrust, memories, emotional turmoil, surprises, love & a well-deserved, satisfying conclusion. I enjoyed reading this shifter romance & would recommend it.
Definitely enjoyed this book. It has an intriguing storyline with lots of twists and turns. Definitely surprises I wasn’t expecting. Strong characters an interesting town. Looking forward to seeing what is coming next. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Hunted by the Dragon
There has been a dragon sighting over a small town in Colorado. There seems to be photographic evidence. Crystal Logan, a news reporter goes to Winchester to find out if there is any truth. This news story is personal. Crystal or Cryss has been having nightmares about dragons since she was young, this may help her.
She meets the handsome but suspicious Sheriff of Winchester Derek Reeves. He tells her that it was just a false sighting and she should leave with all the other supernatural hunters that flooded his town. Cryss seems to know that there is much more going. Her reporter’s intuition leads her to dig deeper. She meets Sheriff Reeves mom and the mysterious woman leads to more questions than answers.
What is everyone hiding and why is she so attracted to Sheriff Derek Reeves. Cryss has secrets of her own. Are there any others like her?
This was a very good book. Lots of interesting characters. A page turner, you won’t want to put it down.
I am looking forward to more in this series!
I must admit this was a book that I could really get my teeth in to.
It wasn’t over in five minutes and the story-line was great.
This author really knows how to get you thinking as what starts off as a small town being attacked becomes a history being erased.
Then to find that it was not all erased is satisfying and hoping that there is more of this to come is what I am looking forward to.
The main characters really know how to keep a secret but to find out what that secret is was awesome.
I don’t want to ruin the story for you but I loved it and this is not just a small town story but much, much more.
I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
Slow in places, but not bad. The characters were okay, but hard to connect with at times. There were some editing issues that may cause stiflingly in your reading.
Having never read anything by Addison Moore, I really enjoyed the way the story took off with a bang and never slowed down. With doors slammed in her face by the impossible Sheriff Derek Reaves and the sweet, tender relationship she developed with little Lucy Ardmor, the story never slowed down. The ending was quite a shocker and I look forward to the next book in the series!
