Massachusetts, 1692Edgar Wilkins is on trial. The coven are nervous, and Dr. Gregor Meissner has noticed that there are some strange things occurring in Notley Village. People at death’s door miraculously being healed, rumours and superstitions abound and, to his surprise, he is prepared to give evidence to the witchfinders to rid the county of the scourge of witchcraft, if only the evidence … evidence proves it beyond a doubt. But, as he ferrets around the village, looking for information, Gregor realizes that the problem is far greater than he ever could have imagined. More than half the town seems to be involved in witchcraft and debauchery, and many of the most high-ranking members of the community are the ringleaders.
Catherine Gale, his nurse, sees how agitated he is and agrees to help him get to the bottom of things. Little does he know that she is a member of the coven and has been tasked to try to steer him away from the truth or to at least find out what he knows. She senses something in Gregor and wonders if there is a way that she might convert him to their path rather than trying to steer him from the truth he so desperately seeks.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride, passion/lust.

BDSM and Magic in the Colonies” Book Eight: Witchfinder’s Welcome” by Alexandra Noir is a tale of Notley Village Massachusetts in 1692…where superstition & witchcraft …witch hunters & accusations go hand in hand…and Edgar Wilkins is on trial. Causing the local coven to be nervous and Dr. Gregor Meissner to be far too observant of recent odd happenings in the village. And the more he notices… the more he sees….. the more he wishes to report… to the witch hunters …BUT his nurse Catherine Gale is a Notley Village coven member and as such has been charged to keep an eye on the good doctor and steer him clear of any “evidence” he might uncover. But Catherine senses the doctor might be swayed to a whole new perspective. Is she right?!? Will it be “business” as usual in Notley?!?!? And what of poor Edgar?!?!? Read & see!!
Much enjoyed and Highly Recommended. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Copy of this book.

Dr. Gregor Meissen had a lot of questions about things that just didn’t seem to have a logical answer in Notley. The more he questioned in his mind, the more he watched and found there were two types of cliques within the town, and yet, there didn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason that would bind them together. As much as he had feelings for his nurse Catherine, she and her family seem to be part of one of the cliques so he thought it best to walk away from those feelings. In the meantime, Brandon calls a meeting at the coven and is concerned about Dr. Meissen’s inquisitive mind and asking questions. Since Catherine is closest to him, she is to find out what the good doctor knows and steer him away from the coven. There will be a ritual and the Fates will come into play but the outcome? It’s part of the Salem Witch Trials, you’ll need to read for yourself what happens. You won’t be disappointed.
Set during the times of the Salem Witch trials, a witchhunter has appeared in our town. Can the coven be saved from his prying?
This is book eight of the series but works fine as a standalone. Reading the previous ones will give a little background on the setting, but nothing essential to this story.
This series skillfully blends history and BDSM in a fascinating and enjoyable manner. The story is well written, easy to read and very steamy with this unusual backdrop. The characters are well developed and fit well into the historical context. I found this to be an excellent read, one of my favorites from the series. The story was very entertaining, and regret that this looks like the end of this series. Lots of fun.
Highly recommended.

This was a appealing story. I really liked the parts where Catherine first announces the details of witchcraft and then later adds that witchcraft is “to protect those we love” proving herself to Dr. Meissen.
Spellbinding! Great read. Very hot!
Gregor Meissen is a doctor and a man of science. There is something going on in Notley Village and he is determined to find out what it is.
This is the final installment in the “BDSM in the Colonies” series by Alexandra Noir. I have enjoyed reading each of them and am a little sad we’ve reached the end of this story. Each of these books challenged me in some way. Each one is a finely crafted story in its own right, with a message and a moral but also serves to move the overall story forward. Not really what you expect from erotica and I think that’s a good thing. Ms. Noir has definitely set a high bar for the genre.
