Can two lonely and lost hearts find one another at the Matchmaker’s Ball?Jeremiah Washington cannot find employment as a cowboy–the only thing he’s ever done–since the closing of the Wilson Ranch in Manassa. He came to Creede with his boss, Angel Wilson, and decided to try to make the place home, just as she did. When a job falls in his lap, he becomes the last thing anyone would have expected … would have expected of him. A lawman. But his first job holds a bit more adventure than he’d hoped for, and he still has dreams of settling down and getting married, himself. Just when he thinks he’s found the right woman for him, his new job as deputy marshal gets in the way.
Penelope Warner’s grandfather passes on and leaves her with a house and life in Creede, Colorado. The only problem is that she’s in Yuma, Arizona, and due to a rare sun sensitivity, she hasn’t left her home in over fifteen years. How is she to go outside in the sun and travel alone and do all the things that she’d never dream she could?

This is one really good story in the Matchmaker’s Ball series. They all have been wonderful, but this one has a bit of adventure to it.
I absolutely loved our hero and heroine and all the adventure there was in this story. I loved how they were able to easily talk and get to know each other when they met. There is a good happily ever after also, with all the adventure, they needed one.
I highly recommend this fun story by this author. She adds a bit of humor along the way. But if you haven’t read any of the other stories in this multi-author series I recommend you do. You’ll need to meet some of the main characters in town.
This is a sweet clean romance that has just enough action and drama to keep you turning the pages. This book was a joy to read and I hated to see it end. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Promenade with Penelope is a wonderfully written clean and sweet western romance with the added bonus of suspense. The author’s descriptions of her characters and setting are so vibrant that they are easily imagined. The storyline flows nicely and holds the reader’s interest from the beginning of the book. The main characters demonstrate faith, strength, resilience, and integrity in difficult situations. This was a great read!
I received an ARC and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
Great plot, Penelope is a great character with courage. I was rooting for her through the story after her long life of seclusion. Many changes brings surprises that keep the reader engaged and excited to find out how the story ends.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
Author P. Creeden has done it again by bringing a story that is full of well developed characters and is sweet and heart warming, along with some tears an some laughs. This is Jeremiah and Penelope’s story. You will meet some old friends from earlier books in this series and you will meet some new ones. I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it. It is a real page turner and you will not want to stop reading until you finish it.
This is a great little story about Penelope, a young lady who hasn’t been outside for 16 years. Now she faces the task of leaving the only home she has ever known and going to a different city to live alone. It is also about Jeremiah, a cowboy turned deputy marshal. The characters are sweet and they face many adventures. This is a very good book for a quick read!
Jeremiah was a secondary character in Allemande with Angel, supporting Angel in her quest to save her father’s heavily mortgaged ranch and encouraging her to take over in charge of the horse drive. He was balding with skin darkened by the sun and failing eyesight, so he wasn’t your typical hero. But just like in that book he wants to do what’s right and just as a deputy marshal. Penelope was sheltered by her grandfather, not leaving the house for fear of what the sun would do to her skin. Despite that she handled her own against the bad guy. Their romance was a whirlwind one only knowing each other a few hours before is forced to leave her. This was a clean western romantic suspense.
