The first time I saw Skull, he was standing atop a speeding motorcycle. The second time, he was putting his fist through my brother’s face. Now he’s everywhere I look. He’s making my life hell with his vulgar remarks and seductive lure, but it’s not my fault my brother joined The Border Lords, his rival crew. I keep my nose out of their business and my head in the books, yet he’s always there … provoking me. Dragging me into their conflict.Everyone in town knows you don’t mess with the Sons of Sinister, but no one ever told me what do when a Son of Sinister messes with me.

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down once started. I even lost sleep. What a brilliant starter to a series. I am looking forward to more.
I loved Aiken and Everly together, Aiken might of fought it. But you could see he had feelings. Everly might of been naive. But she knew what she wanted.
I loved the interactions between them all. I loved learning about the other characters.
I really can’t wait for more.

I almost DNF this book. And I’m so glad I didn’t.
The beginning was so slow and boring that I almost gave up, plus I didn’t know the heroine was a high schooler. The cover clearly shows an adult and I thought it’ll be an NA but when I read that the heroine was a senior in high school, I thought this was one of those books with a teenage guy acting like an alpha adult who knows everything about women body and stuff.
But surprisingly, I really enjoy this book. At first, I thought the heroine was going to be some weak, fragile girl but she surprised me by standing against the hero. Yes, she got her weak moment because she suffers from panic attacks but she was able to get herself together by herself. I feel sorry for her because she was alone and no one to relate on but she still gathers herself together to try to find some solutions. I loved how sweet yet determinate she was.
Hero made me frown more than once because he was contradictory. I love him very much and he made my heart melt by being protective and possessive towards Everly and their moments were so sweet, so priceless. He wasn’t such an ass like you can find in most of today’s books because you could feel his attraction, his desire for the heroine as well as him falling in love with her. And I think it was beautiful to see them together.
However, the reason I can’t give this book more than 3,5 stars is because there were lots of scenes missing. I wanted to see more of the Sons of Sinister together, talking, having fun together. But it was just told not showed and it’s disappointing because I like Saint and wanted more of him. I’m so happy his book will be next. I also wanted more of Erik and Everyly together because after all, they are twins. And I wanted more of Zada and Everly because Zada is the first friend Everly made when she moved in. I understand that the story should only focus on the MCs but sometimes, it feels good to put the side characters under the spotlight, but too much but just enough to make the story feels more real, so we can connect with more character than just the MCs.
For sure I will read the sequel and I’m already looking forward to doing it.

The first of the Sons of Sinister series and boy was this a ride! Everly’s life has changed drastically, going from west coast to east, private school to public; she is barely coping and her anxiety is getting worse. Just when she thinks no one sees her, she ends up catching the eye of Aiken/Skull. Aiken knows from the first glance at Everly, she is from the other side of the tracks and she doesn’t belong in his world; but she keeps showing up. After playing the dance of push and pull, Aiken knows he can’t have what he wants, its not fair to Everly, but what he doesn’t realize is that maybe Everly belongs in his world.
This was truly an amazing read; giving us drama, danger, violence, and some super hot spicy bits. This story was a different take on the MC world, kind of how I would imagine one starts up; it kept me on my toes, and I had to devour it! I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series, I give this 5 stars.
