A new friends-to-lovers small-town romance from Amber Kelly…When I returned to Poplar Falls six years ago, I’d given up on love.I’d made the mistake of marrying the sexy rebel right out of high school. He’d ended up in jail. I’d ended up pregnant. With a baby on the way, I decided to give up my wild, impulsive ways. All I wanted was a family and to watch my sweet son grow up, happy, and … healthy. Then Myer Wilson keeps showing up in my life—and my son’s life. He’s the hometown football hero, who blew out his ankle his junior year and ended his career. I didn’t look twice at hot jocks in high school. But now that he’s taken over his family’s ranch, I can’t help but look even when I swore off men for good. But maybe he’ll finally be the one to help me let go of the past and find my second chance at love. Or maybe my past will come back to haunt me.

Sweet | Small Town | Friends-to-Lovers Romance
It’s truly magical when you find a new author who writes stories that touch you deep in your heart. For me, one of those authors is Amber Kelly. I stumbled upon her first book in this series RUSTIC HEARTS last year when I was looking for new books in the kindle unlimited program. Seeing the cover for Rustic Hearts is what first caught my attention. Then I read the blurb, got chills, and decided this is a book I NEED to try. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did because this series is shaping up to be one of my favorite series of all time. There’s just something about sweet, small town romances that get me. Add to that second chances at love and true feelings from the heart and you have yourself a winner. Family ties are also at the forefront of these novels and it’s so beautiful to witness the power of these relationships- honestly, it’s inspirational! Ladies, if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading either of these books, I strongly recommend giving them a try. I’m telling you; I’ve been smiling ear to ear since I started and finished this one (same goes for Rustic Hearts). I love these books so much that I’m even going ahead and purchasing the paperbacks because I know a re-read is something I’ll be doing in the near future.
As I mentioned above, this is a small-town romance. I’d also consider it a friends-to-lovers and brothers best friend romance because the two have known each other their whole lives and the hero (Myer) is good friends with the heroines (Dallas) brother. Dallas also happens to be a single mom and best friend to Sophie who appears in the first book in the series. (Each book can stand alone).
So, what happens in the story? What makes this book so special that I recommend it to everyone? Well, there’s a romance of course, but it happens slowly for Dallas and Myer. You see Dallas has been burned in the past by her ex husband and has no intention of letting another man in to hurt her or her son. Myer though is a kind and patient man and while he’s been harboring feelings for Dallas for a long time and he understands her needs for something a little slower paced. When the two finally figure out their feelings there’s a teeny bit of drama that unfolds, but it shows the strength of both of them and leads them closer together. If you want to know what I mean, you’ll have to read it yourself!
What makes the book so special? The love. It feels organic and real. Amber Kelly knows how to write feelings and it’s hard NOT to think your falling in love too. It’s also the chemistry and bonds, the charm and sweetness, and the idea that two people so perfect for one another can find love despite hardships. Amber Kelly writes it to good that you practically feel as if you’re the characters themselves. That my friends (and really, so much more) is what makes this a diamond in the rough.
I like to offer high praise to authors when I enjoy their books and I am always honest when it comes to my reviews. You can clearly see my love of many novels though my blog but I’m telling you, this series really STANDS OUT. Pure perfection in every area. I hope many readers will give it a try.

This is my second read from Amber Kelly, I read this one like the first in one night.
I love a single parent story, they are always so heartfelt and real, and Stone Hearts hit the nail on the head.
Dallas is such a wonderful mother to Beau, alone since her husband is out of the picture, raising him to be kind and loving all on her own.
Myer knows it’s time to make Dallas his, and let her know she has always owed his heart. This book has all the hometown feels, with a little mystery thrown in just to keep us on our toes.
Can’t to return to Poplar Falls and Wicket Hearts!!
This book is one of my favorite books ever! Small town romance always gets me, but this was FANTASTIC!
Meyer is perfection. Cowboy/Rancher, sexy, caring, sexy, hardworking, sexy, family and friend lover, sexy, loyal, sexy, honest, and did I mention sexy?
Dallas is everything I love. She is independent, strong, loyal, fun. flirty, gorgeous.
Slow burn at its finest. Just reading the chemistry these two friends have and watching them finally fall for each other was so wonderful.
Beau is just the sweetest, smartest, cutest little cowboy rancher in training out there.
The little bit of mystery was just the perfect touch.. Had my mind wondering! Everything on these pages had me so engrossed and hated to have to stop reading. I have never read this author before, but after reading Stone Hearts, I WILL be reading more of her work! If you love small-town, friends to lovers, you should give Stone Hearts a one click! 5 Stars for sure!!!
Amber Kelly did it again. Stone Hearts was just great as I thought it was going to be. Once I finished Rustic Hearts, I knew that I would love Dallas’ story. It was filled with angst, friendship, and some suspense. I loved how Amber wrote the relationship between Dallas and Myer because nothing felt rushed at their developing relationship. The world that Amber has created is still amazing and I can’t wait to read the next one. If you have read Rustic Hearts, you’ll enjoy the snippet of the future of Braxton and Sophie. However, with that said, this definitely can be read as a standalone.
The covers for both novels are astoundingly beautiful. The writing was amazing, the characters were people I wished I had in my real life, and the relationship was book-worthy. Amber Kelly is quickly becoming one of my one-click authors.

An emotional, second chance romance that will make your heart scream, break, and then be put back together. The author has created a story that will stay with you long after the last page is turned.
Amber Kelly continues this amazing small town romance that will slay you and tug every part of your heart. An epic story that continues the story of these characters you meet in the poplar falls series. I absolutely fell in love with the raw, true feelings that are shown in this book. It’s storyline, characters, and situations will make you swoon and want to scream all at the same time.
Dallas and Myer. This story. Holy COW!! They have known each other forever, but have never seen what is right in front of their eyes. This epic love story is one of finding yourself and being strong when you didn’t know you would have to be. I am part of this family and was totally engrossed from the first word to the last.
Amber Kelly is one author you need to one click and fall in love with every book. She will blow you away, add some suspense and definite steaminess, and then make everything whole again!!

The perfect love story for Dallas!!! I was anxious to see what would happen between her and Myer after book 1!
Myer is so patient with her and doesn’t hold her back from anything! And the way he has always been a role model and friend to Beau is so adorable! The ending wrapped up way better than I was expecting and I’m excited to see where they are at in the future books.
This is my first Amber Kelly book, and I loved her work. Stone Hearts is one of the most beautiful and wonderful heartwarming romance. This small-town contemporary romance is everything, and every romance fans should read it.
What I liked the most about this book is that, it doesn’t have drama, no love triangle, and no cheating. This is why this book is so perfect and is the best in a lot of ways. Also, I loved the storyline and the characters in it. This book has a large cast of characters, and everyone are so likable. It is very rare to find a good romance story like this one. I’m glad that I pick this book and give it a try, and ended up loving it. I devoured it from the very first page until the last. It really worth the read.
Stone Hearts is about Dallas and Myer, this book is their story. In this book I get to learn about them and get to know them much better. Their stories are beautifully-written, and I loved seeing how these two slowly fall in love with one another. At some point, I did wish the author would include a little flashback scenes from their past so that readers will get to know their past version and see how they grew to be the person they are in the present day. But I do feel grateful that the author chose to tell a little bit about their past through the dialogues—as in through their conversation. That was great, as long as there was a mention about their past and what they did back in the days, and how they become who they are in the present day.
Dallas and Myer are both great characters with so many good qualities. Both of them have strong personalities, and that makes them the perfect match. I enjoyed seeing the progress of their relationship; from friends to lovers. It was a slow-burn process, and no angst, so that was totally exactly what I like. I didn’t know this book have my most favorite trope, and I really didn’t expect it at all. But I’m happy it went so well with Dallas and Myer. It was obvious there’s an attraction between them, and Dallas was too afraid to acknowledge it after the mistake she made in the past—which is understandable. And as for Myer, he doesn’t ignore it but rather welcome it with open arms.
There was a bit of a misunderstanding which is normal in a relationship, but I like how the author doesn’t drag it like in most books, and instead the author cut the misunderstanding short. Everyone knows communication is a key, and I like that Dallas and Myer decided to do just that in order to put an end to the misunderstanding. It wasn’t a big deal which was a relief, because I don’t think I can handle a drama in an already beautiful story.
The book showed the beauty of Dallas and Myer’s story, and it also showed their wonderful romance, and how their relationship only gets better as the story goes on. Not every men wanted to be in a relationship with a woman like Dallas after knowing she has a son, but Myer is a different kind of man. He was ready to raise Dallas’s son, Beau, as his own. I’m so happy for Dallas, at least she finally found a man who truly loved her, and cared for her and her son, and who always helped her and be there for her during her highs and lows. The amount of times Myer always hangs out with Dallas and Beau was a lot, and those moments they spend together was so precious. He does have a good relationship with Beau. And as for Beau, he was also happy to know his sweet mother found her happily ever after with a kind man.
There are so many things that I loved about this book. From Myer and Dallas’ romance, to Myer and Dallas’ friendship with the men and women in their lives. Myer and his cowboy friends, and Dallas and her women squad. This is also another reason why this book is one of my most favorite book. The good relationship that the men and women had together was wonderful. The way they help each other and work together to build something makes me melt. The hardworking men and the strong women who also work as hard as the men are all amazing. This book really do have a huge cast of great characters. Never a dull moment when everyone is around.
The story also has a little bit of suspense/mystery element, which is the stalking part. I find it really creepy actually, and I had no idea who did the stalking. All of my guesses are wrong, and it shocked me to know who the stalker was. This little mystery thing only made me so intrigued in finding out about the stalker, and made me a bit nervous about the safety of Myer, Dallas, and Beau. I was happy things aren’t as dangerous as it seem, but it was still creepy.
The beautiful and perfect ending wraps up Myer and Dallas story in a good way. I loved the ending, it was truly unexpected, and everything went so well for them. I was so happy that they finally get the ending they deserved. Their story was so wholesome, and I definitely need to re-read it soon, because I already miss these two so much. I just can’t get enough of Myer and Dallas. Their story does have a nice ending that I was happy with, and I’m glad it ended the way it did. I was so content with their romance that it was sad to see their story ended here.
If you love a beautiful small-town romance featuring a hardworking hero who is so determined to win the heart of a woman he love, and a lovely heroine who isn’t afraid to take another chance at love, and a large group of amazing men and women who supports them all the way through, then you’ll love this one. This is the type of romance that will warm your heart, and one that you won’t be able to forget. This is an overall a smooth and nice story of how two friends are slowly falling in love with each other and isn’t afraid to take a chance. I highly recommend this book.
If you love small town romances with a lot of heart this series is for you!
This is the second book in the Poplar Falls series and it was just as amazing as Rustic Hearts. This is a single mom with a little bit of friends to lovers and brothers best friend thrown in there. I mean how can you go wrong right.
Not to mention all the characters are amazing and I cannot wait to read all their stories.
Just like the first book this is an emotional story with a whole lot of heart.
To top it all of these books have some of the most stunning covers I have ever seen.
I loved this book, like completely obsessed LOVED this book! Dallas was a single mom with insecurities and hang ups brought on by her former life that took time to heal and get over. And Myer was her brother’s best friend, totally patient with her, protective and so protective over Dallas and Beau. I couldn’t read it fast enough and just kept wanting to see what would happen next and how Myer would convince Dallas to give them a chance and not freak out like the over thinker she was. This was such a sweet small town romance. There is just something magical reading about a single parent getting their second chance.
