You might know THE happily ever after, but this story has no fairytale ending.
Being Cinderella’s daughter should have been full of glamor.
Being Prince Charming’s only child should have been full of happiness.
After 20 years, and being locked away in the castle, she is finally putting her foot down.
Being sheltered never did anyone favors, especially when Arabella discovers she has family … discovers she has family outside of the castle and everything goes up in flames.

Not your average re-telling
Arabella Charming is chomping at the bit to be free. Free of the castle, free of her family, free of the fairytale. After much planning, that goes wrong, and one lucky escape Arabella finally gets what she wants but it’s not all that it’s cracked up to be.
Arabella is not a weak woman to be trifled with. She has a sassy attitude and a stubborn streak that goes on for miles. Joining her is a handful of support characters that really make the book complete.
There are very clear lines of who the goodies are and who the baddies are, and the baddies are so bad that you can’t wait to see what happens. This book will have you hooked and fully immersed. Between the wit, the storytelling, and the plot- there is never a dull moment.
A Lonergan has imagined a fantastic “ever after” for the only child of the Charming’s. With a creative flair, she has been able to weave not one but two fairytales into this fast-paced adventure.
I recommend this book as it is different from all the other re-tellings/imaginings out here already. A truly original and unique tale.
Cinderella and Prince Charming have grossly overcompensated in the ways they keep their daughter safe. So much so that she is trapped within the castle without being able to get to know anyone – even her guards are switched out after talking to her.
Arabella is far from perfect, especially at the begining of the story, but that’s where the character growth comes in. And it can’t happen over night – she has too much to learn and experience.
This story weaves in so many details from various Cinderella stories to keep the world familiar while adding in a Robin Hood adventure with complex characters along the way.
Cinderella and Prince Charming’s daughter should have it all it all but all she wants is her freedom! A freedom outside of the castle she is trapped in! Fab storyline, I adore Arabella and loved reading her story! Full of magic, twists and turns, laughter and tears and great characters , I’m really happy I read this!
Arabella just wants her freedom. Freedom from the palace, freedom from the crown she will inherit, and freedom from her mother Cinderella. Feeling alone and kept apart from her kingdom and history, Arabella Charming is determined to leave the castle. Without knowing anything about her parents story or her own people, there is more trouble outside of the castle walls than she could ever have expected.
If you want to sit down and fall in to a story, this is it. Arabella may be seen as the selfish daughter with an attitude problem, but finally getting out of the castle walls is about to open her eyes. Good and bad things may be lurking everywhere, and who can you trust when you know no one? I didn’t want to put this down, and I wished it never ended.
It only took me two days to read the entire book. I could not put it down. I don’t know how the author managed to write such a wonderful novel. Mixing two fairytales into one. This book had me holding my breath at every turn along with all the smiles to follow. You will not be disappointed with this one.
