“I was sure my heart had withered away years ago, but then you smiled at me, and I felt it beat again.” ~GageYears ago, I fell in love with my best friend’s little brother. Then, he took his own life, leaving me shattered and unable to piece my heart back together. I’ve been a zombie for nine long years. Until a crazy, gorgeous man walked into Heathens Ink and injected color back into my world of … world of gray. No matter how hard I try to resist Beck, he just won’t give up on me. I would need steel willpower to withstand his gorgeous long legs in those high heels and his drawer full of lacy lingerie. But is this just a kinky hook up or does it have the possibility for more?
“We’re both broken, but our jagged edges fit together well” ~ Beck
When you’re half of a whole you never contemplate what life would be like without your matching piece. Since my twin sister, Brianna, died last year, nothing I do seems to quiet my soul. I know there has to be some way for me to feel happy and whole again. And, when I look into the pained eyes of the tattoo artist at Heathens Ink, I feel like I have a purpose. I can’t explain it, but I feel like I have to find a way to put him back together.
**Shattered Pieces is the fourth book in the Heathens Ink series, each book in the series CAN be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed this book. Gage & Beck has lost so much and are perfect for each other even if it takes them awhile to realise that. Gage lost the boyfriend Johnny aka Jay (Adam’s brother) who committed s*icide 8 years prior. He’s been a shell of his former shelf due to pain and guilt that he couldn’t save him, even though no one could’ve stopped him apart from maybe a professional. Beck lost his twin sister to a brain aneurysm 2 years ago. Beck not only loves wearing makeup but pretty things made of lace as well as sky high heels. He’s a dancer but only part time as he’s a lawyer at his fathers law firm, and he’s even on track to become partner. He completely hates it as he has to hide his true fabulous shelf and wear boring plain suits everyday. This book was definitely an emotional roller coaster and seeing Gage beat himself up was horrible as him and Jay fought and that was the last time he spoke to Jay or seen him alive. I really love how much Gage likes Beck’s choice of clothing, his made up face as well as his sky high heels. I’m looking forward to reading more about the Heathens Ink family and especially the antics they get up to while in Vegas for Madden & Thane’s bachelor’s party. I’d definitely recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
So happy Gage finally found his happiness with Beck! Both characters were so beautifully broken and I loved how they both were able to help the other find their way. It wasn’t that they were each other’s missing piece, but that they could see how all the pieces they already had fit together. Loved this book and can’t wait for the next one!
Shattered Pieces is the fourth book in the Heathens Ink series, a contemporary romance with tattoo artists. This book could be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading this series in order to really enjoy all the characters. In this book we finally get Gage’s love story and watch as he slowly heals his heart with help of Beck. This book was extremely emotional, but it also was full of hope and love. I found it to be a lovely and touching story to read. K.M. Neuhold did a great job of balancing the angst with sweetness and humor which kept the book from becoming depressing. Overall, I really enjoyed this book.
Gage’s book is something I’ve been excited for since the beginning. And this might be my favourite yet. Very well written with dual POV, I couldn’t put this book down. Gage and Beck are so hot together and it has some really sexy scenes.
Beck is such a wonderful character. His sass and humour make this book a winner. Also the lace??
Gage is still grieving for Johnny but I love he finally realises that he can love them both, albeit differently. I know Gage and Johny has a short story, but I don’t think I’ll wver read that because I just cannot read tragedies.
Also what’s up with Liam and Kyle? I know they both have different books. Maybe I’m just reading into it.
This story was heartbreaking at times but I loved every single word. If someone deserved a happily ever after it was the two main chatacters Gage and Beck. Fantastic book!
Wow. Gage and Beck’s story truly is heartbreaking. The pain and emotion after losing someone so close to each of them is raw and it truly comes across. Seeing them deal with their grief and begin to live again was absolutely breathtaking.
Wow!!!
I knew this one would gut me and it did. Gage’s story needed to be told and Beck is the perfect guy to help him. The hidden gem in here is seeing both Johnny and Jack’s families and how differently they handle grief. Everyone deals differently and how their own time frame of processing. This series is amazing and gets more so with each book.
I love all of the Heathens Ink books. It’s an awesome series. This one opened my eyes to cross dressers a little bit. I really enjoyed it.
