We readers are often asked ‘What is your favourite book?’ and ‘Who is your favourite book boyfriend?’ and I can tell you that Thoughtless and Kellan Kyle are mine. I know I’ve read this book more than once but it must be a number of years since I last picked up this series to read, and to be honest having had this book and Kellan on such a high pedestal for so long, I was a little worried that I may feel a little disappointed – that my expectations are too high. I need not have worried though because from that very first word in the very first chapter I was back feeling ALL the emotions that I remembered loving experiencing when reading this book previously. My love for Kellan has never wavered and if I could love him more than before, I would. I sit here with my swollen red eyes from crying, having tortured myself throughout the whole book, experiencing the emotions that the characters have been feeling and expressing. I can just about see this screen through the tears that are once again filling my eyes and rolling down my cheeks as I think back over this story, and this is the reason why Thoughtless and Kellan will always be up there as favourites of mine.
I know thousands of us have read this book and indeed the full trilogy. I already know that many readers feel exactly the same way about this book as I do… I’ve been talking about this story with my book friends for years! So I’m going to say very little except appeal to those who may not have read Kellan and Kiera’s story yet to please do so. I know that love triangle romances can be a trope that readers avoid BUT I can only say that when you are rooting for the couple who are cheating that the author is doing an incredible job of showing us their feelings and the connection that they share. Don’t get me wrong, I shed many tears for Denny and in the real world I detest cheating in a relationship, BUT if there are two characters that are meant to be together then it is Kellan and Kiera, and there are huge reasons why this was a triangle of love.
I’m emotionally exhausted right now but rereading this book has been one of the highlights of my year. I must not leave it so long to pick up this book again, but right now I’m heading straight in to Effortless which I can vividly recall had me shedding even more tears during some scenes, and I hold my hand up to say that this is something I absolutely love to experience.

I absolutely loved it!!! OMG. Could not stop reading. Rollercoaster 100%. I can see where people would feel that a love triangle is not honorable But it happens all the time. When true love comes you just can’t turn your back on it.
I’ve re-read this entire trilogy countless times
This book had me in a major book hangover for a long time when I first read it. The characters are annoying, funny, quirky, and loveable all at the same time. This is one book I threw across the room, and that’s a compliment to all the emotions it conjured, even rage. If you like roller coaster books, this is one hell of a ride.
I think everyone and their brother knows this book revolves around a love triangle/cheating, which is a trope I actually love to read. Kiera/Dennis/Kellen – I loved both Dennis and Kellen – I hated Kiera. She was way too wishy washy with her decision and hurt both guys needlessly. Personally, I didn’t think she deserved either one of them. I’ve always kind of believed the old saying “once a cheater, always a cheater” – I’m hoping they prove me wrong.
This was my first read by S.C. Stephens and I plan to read the rest of the series – I need to see how this all plays out.

This is probably my all-time favorite book! I absolutely love Kellan Kyle! I also really loved Denny, and while I know many don’t care for Kiera, and I understand their feelings based on how wishy-washy she was, I found that I sympathized with her for the most part. I truly viewed her as a naive, young woman who didn’t realize the true ramifications of what was going on between her and Kellan. And Kellan- oh Kellan!!- he is about the sexiest guy! And SC Stephens did such a wonderful job of writing his character! You can’t help but fall in love with him.
I’ve read this book many times, and when I’m in a slump, Thoughtless seems to be my go-to reread. I highly recommend it!!
One of the most angst filled books I have ever read and loved. I fell in love with the character Kellan Kyle. This book was an amazing and intense love story. I definitely recommend this book. I look forward to the next book in this series.
