Book 2 of the #1 New York Times bestselling This Man trilogy Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O’Shea could survive. She should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape–and now he’s back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures … remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared. Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man’s steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more. And it’s exactly where Jesse wants her–within touching distance…

Jesse and Eva are one of my favorite literary couples of all time. I’ve been recommending this book for almost 5 years now. I truly is entertaining and surprising towards then. A must read….over and over and over….
Loved this series. Could not put it down.
This is one in a series; you must read them all!
This series is so good, you will fall in love with “The Lord of the Manor” Jesse and his Ava. He gets his girl in the end.
I love this book and series!!!
This is the second book in the This Man series. This book starts off five days after This Man ended. Their “relationship” is awkward to say the least and neither is sure where they are headed. Ava starts to spend more time at the manor and Jessie begins to open up to her more. There are many obstacles they will need to overcome such as Jesse interfering with her clients. But will Ava be able to handle secrets that will be exposed? I enjoyed this book even more than the first. I must admit that I now have a love/hate relationship with Jesse but I am patiently awaiting book three.
“Look at me “, he demands between pants, and I force my eyes open and gasp a little when I feel him jerk inside me. “I love you.” he whispers, his voice cracking.
I can’t tell if I want to strangle him in breath play or sheer frustration. Lord Jesse Ward is the most aggravating, frustrating, and mind boggling H ever. I can’t make up my mind. It’s a serious dilemma.
Beneath This Man is a continuation of the Jesse Ward roller coaster of crazy, mad behavior found in This Man. I can only shake my head and hope for the best. I honestly think the only reason I haven’t given up on Jesse is because I always route for the underdog and in this series…i feel he is it. His self sabotaging ways truly land him in some serious shit.
How has Ava not said @#$% Off and meant it, it’s truly a miracle. Looking forward to more Central Jesse Cloud Nine but I seriously need an entire book in his POV if I’m ever going to love him.
This is what a real romance is about with good/bad,love/hate, fighting/ making up and how all your friends are putting in their 2 cents. Not all relationships are easy or a quite as crazy as this one but I love all the ins & outside of real love. Again 500ish pages but a great page turner.
Jesse and Ava are back the This Man Series is heating for Book 2. Now that the cats out of the bag about the manor the Lord needs to convince his Temptress that his heart is only for her and that he is done mixing business with pleasure. But with ex-lover, jealous tendencies, and misunderstanding around everound corner will it be simple as them wanting to be together to keep them together. Looks like book 3 will have to address some lingering questions like: can the owner of a posh sex manor really have true love, what else is Jesse hiding from his past, and where do those pills keep going!?!?!?!?????:-):-):-):-):-)
Freight train Jesse is still on a roll. After a devastating five day separation, Jesse returns to his controlling behaviors. Declarations of love to each other bring a whole new element to their relationship. The god and his temptress have their work cut out for with so many outside influences seemingly trying to undermine them. Jesse’s irrational fears over Ava’s safety seem to have validity when she isvendangered while out with Kate. He’s over the top trying to find out who is responsible. At the top of the list are Matt and Mikael. Reaching a breaking point, Jesse takes a drastic step rather than taking a drink. It backfires when Ava sets out to show him just how it hurts her when he tries to hurt himself. Jesse finally reveals some of his past and Ava now understands him better. Without her knowledge, Jesse sets up a family dinner and proposes, for a second time, in front of family and friends. They get their happily for now.
Not enough stars to give this series! Ava & Jesse’s story continues…. so hot
The lord of the Manor! May not be fore everyone But Jodi did it yet again !!!
Jesse Ward is equally captivating as he is in book one in This Man Trilogy. Ave has finally realized that that Jesse is in a category of his own. Book two Beneath this man is a wild emotional roller-coaster ride with Jesse and Ava. This book takes off right where book one ends 5 days since Ava has seen Jesse. They are both lost and broken and both a mess and they realize they need each other to survive. It may not be the conventional way but it works for them. They over come Jesse’s alcohol incident that was a down ward spiral after he thought he lost Ava for good.
Jesse ward why do we love him so much? He is still controlling and crosses the line many times with Ava. Sometime he acts in a way that makes me want to despise him. Through it all you see how much he truly loves Ava and how she is his everything. In this book you learn what makes Jesse tick the way he does. This book shows how they grow as a couple. This may not be a read for everyone but I love Jodi and her writing she keeps you engaged and the sex scenes are shall I say hot. Didn’t think it was possible to get an even better sequel but Jodi yet again.
Whiplash in a good way..
This is also one of my absolute favorite series!! Jesse is so hot!! You will definitely be captivated by “the Lord of the Manor”
