When she holds my waist and her thighs hug my motorcycle, a rough spark jolts my jaded heart back to life.
Years ago, she left our small town without looking back.
This time, I’ll give her a reason to stay.
NOTE: This BBW, second chance romance includes no cheating, no cliffhangers, but there will be plenty of summer heat, and a happily ever after guaranteed to make you smile.

Another sizzling read from Kristen Echo! Blake and Gemma are on fire from the moment they are reunited. Forced apart as teens, her family didn’t approve of Blake and made his life hell for it once Gemma was gone. Reunited because of her grandfather’s funeral they pick up where they left off so many years ago and still with the disapproving parents. Blake is the hot as sin blue-collar boy and Gemma is the rich girl protected by her family but they rekindle their romance and blow the socks off the town and her parents! A must-read and it doesn’t disappoint with the wide range of emotions that keep you cheering for true love to conquer all.
Blake and Gemma were teenage sweethearts but her snobby family sent her to boarding school to separate them. Eight years later Gemma is back in town for her beloved grandfather’s funeral and a fender bender has Blake trying to fix her car. Both are hurt by how their relationship ends but they quickly reconnect and their relationship takes off.
This book is rather short so the story moves quickly. I wish there had been a bit more time for some character development, especially around their lives before they reconnected. But they are both characters you want to be together and get their HEA.
I did read the first book in this series but you would not have to to read this book. This book does set up the scenario for what will be Book #3.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book for an honest review.
Romantic and VERY steamy second chance love story, making up for lost time…wink!
Blake Kruz had it all at one time until she broke his heart. In high school Blake and Gemma loved each other with teenage passion until one day her parents sent her away and broke him. Now she’s back for her grandfather’s funeral and runs into a truck thinking about Blake…right in front of his shop! See, he’s blue collar and she’s from money. How could they think their relationship could ever work? They had one person in their corner though and he makes all the difference.
Oh. My. Word. This was one STEAMY story told in dual points of view. Neither Blake nor Gemma have ever truly gotten over each other but they each think the other didn’t want the relationship for various reasons. Wait until they find out the truth…Gemma’s mother is a right b**ch.
LOVED this story. Beautiful HEA but so much angst and turmoil to get through before the sensational ending. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended for lovers of second chance romance which matures from “childhood” to adult steamy love.
Another hit by Kristen Echo! I started reading her hockey romance novels and was totally hooked! A wonderful second chance romance about Blake and Emma and their second chance! HEA?! Check it out to see for yourself!!
This is book two in the Big Flirt series. What a great read! I could not wait to read more of these characters after first meeting them in book one. It is not necessary to read book one but I would highly recommend it, to get to know the characters relation and more family background. This is Blake and Gemma’s story. Their families have been feuding for years but that did not stop these two from dating back in high school. Gemma’s parents found out and shipped her off to boarding school. She is not aware of the turmoil left behind. Now, it has been years and she is back in town for her grandfather’s funeral. This is supposed to be an in and out visit, she has no intentions of running into Blake. But since she has caused an accident near his auto shop while checking him out, she has no choice but to talk with him now. She also needs to ask him to fix her car. These two cannot seem to get enough of one another and try to leave the past in the past and just be friends. This does not work for a variety of reasons, all which unfold amazingly as you turn each page in the book. I cannot wait to see what kind of trouble Owen gets himself into while trying to keep Chelsey out of it in Vegas of all places. Enjoy!
I received a free copy of this book from the author and I voluntarily leave my honest review of this book.
This was a thoroughly enjoyable second chance read.
Plenty of misunderstandings and threats kept Gemma and Blake apart. Secret high school sweethearts, her wealthy parents separated them by shipping her out of country to boarding school and he to jail.
Now back for her beloved grandfathers funeral, she hits a truck in front of his shop.
What I liked? Blake. Great book boyfriend. Not a player (thank god!). He’s a hard working good guy. Who does steamy things.
Gemma was great too.
My favorite book so far.
Loved dual POVs. Especially Blake’s.
Highly recommend.
Borrowed on KU.
I found this to be a superb storyline that grabs you right from the start keeping you engrossed and on edge throughout the whole book!Great characters that will keep your interest extremely well. The chemistry, sweetness, and twists in plot kept things interesting.Add in drama and steamy passion and you have a good read.

I enjoyed this second chance romance. Emma’s parents forced her to leave town in high school because she was involved with Blake because he was socially unacceptable to them. Emma returned 8 years later for her beloved grandfather’s funeral. She still did not get along with her parents who wanted her to have nothing to do with Blake who was a mechanic. Distracted when she saw Blake, she has an accident and needs him to repair her car. The couple needs to clear up misunderstandings and survive other obstacles if they want a relationship.
You will want to read this fun story to see if they have a HEA.
I was given an advance copy of this book and happily leave my positive review.
