There’s a darkness within her and its voice taunts her… her real name, and wanting four boys who’d probably forgotten her…
And suddenly, everything changes. Thorn, Colton, Aaron, and Oliver come looking for her just as the voices in the darkness begin to cry out.
And it turns out—it doesn’t matter how far Lacey runs, evil will always find her.

My oh my!!!!First off… If you haven’t read book one in this series yet, you MUST read it before this!!!! Otherwise you’ll be completely confused regarding much of this story.
We now find Lacey around ten years after defeating the demon from book 1. She always said she’d end up in the north, and that she did…. Alaska! She only has little bits and pieces of memory regarding how she came to arrive in Alaska. Trying to stay off the paranormal radar to keep her guys safe, she hasn’t used her real name since leaving that cursed town… Until now. She’s been helping out a private investigator who’s also her savior, best friend, and pseudo father named Rick. While taking compromising photos as proof for a client, Lacey ends up injured and in hospital with a concussion. Without even thinking, she gives her real name which immediately went into the magical database in the sky. Everything she’d gotten used to after escaping her nightmare was about to change once more. Within hours a familiar face turns up at her door, and her past is back. She’s forced to have the discussion she’d needed to have for years. On the heels of this reunion, and still suffering effects from her concussion Lacey does a job for Rick seeing if a local sleep clinic has paranormal undertones. She should’ve known she’d never stay completely off the radar from demons, ghosties and more. For SOMETHING and SOMEONE has noticed Lacey yet again, and they want to play. She’s not a teenager any longer, and has her own arsenal of tricks and weapons combined with her fairly honed instinct. She’s not clueless to this world, and she’s darned if she’ll be put in the same place of fear and darkness from ten years ago. Plus it looks like she’s got familiar backup to go toe to toe with this adversary. Now if they could just figure out WHY all these dark entities make a beeline for her and become fixated on her. What’s going on?!
In true fashion you cheer for Lacey, and love the version of herself she’s become over the past years. I love how easily the relationships seem to click after all this time and work together to defeat this once again. Lacey and the viewers learn there seems to be something within her calling to these beings… And NOT the evil she’s thought within her after defeating the big bad all those years ago. Thankfully she’s got her guys in her life once more letting her know how much light shines from within her and NOT the darkness she resolutely believed. Be warned there *IS* a cliffhanger!! I think Lacey and her guys are at the start of their journey, and beware all the darkness that threatens them, anyone they love, or innocents. I look forward to seeing what’s next in this journey!
