Twisted Kingdom is book three of Royal Elite Series and should be read after Deviant King & Steel Princess. This is a dark high school bully romance, mature new adult, and contains dubious situations that some readers might find offensive.
This book is the final part of a trilogy and is NOT standalone.more
It’s not easy to surprise me, but Rina Kent shocked the hell out of me with the last installment of the Royal Elite Series.
Twisted Kingdom gives a whole new meaning to the word unpredictable – trust me, whatever you’re thinking right now it’s not going to happen.
“I thought the worst monster were the ones from my childhood. Turns out, my worst monster had the most hypnotic metallic eyes and the inky black hair.
He has penetrating gaze that dissects me and sees straight into the darkness of my soul.
My monster is all tall, powerful, and beautiful. My monster is Aiden King.”
I loved every single page of this story – I was so deeply immersed in it that I finished it without even realizing it. I’ve told you a thousand times that I’m in love with Aiden… I don’t know how, but I’ve fallen harder for him, he’s just so lovable. He’s a new Aiden, his love for Elsa has changed him for the best.
(He’s still hot, though, and so good in bed ).
And Elsa, poor little Elsa, the secrets of her past are finally unveiled and I cried so much for her, it was inevitable.
Elsa’s father is… UGH, I can’t tell you much about him but, trust me, he will shock you.
If I could give a thousand stars to this book, I’d do it, because this amazing story truly deserves them! I can’t believe Aiden and Ela’s trilogy has come to an and, I’m not ready to let them go!
I’ll never forget this couple, I just love them so much.
Thank you so much, Rina, for writing a fantastic story that made me laugh, cry and left me with a huge smile plastered on my face (and on my heart too). I can’t wait to read more from you, I know you won’t disappoint me.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
Her father has returned from the dead along with a new family, but her heart is breaking as it comes to light that her hearts dark desire is promised to another.
As she begins to remember things of their past one question rings true in her mind….
Does it matter that they were but young children when promises were made?
Oh this series!! I didnt think it could get any better but how wrong was I!!
It all began with deviant king, which introduced his darkness, and brought her back to him.
Then it continued in Steel princess where it was revealed who she truly was and now…. now the ghosts that haunt them all are returned to life.
Aiden is a truly unique character. His disposition never waivers and his darkness is forever bubbling under the surface.
There are many sides to him, and he’s never more frightening than when he smiles, for you can see his devious mind calculating, plotting and planning.
Elsa is his weakness, his one true love. She’s the girl he places on the pedestal.
Her fire and stubbornness is secondary to none. I chuckled away as she stood firm when he was all but begging..
I loved the power battles between them. They are perfect for each other even if they don’t always see it.
An amazing conclusion to their story. Rina Kent has won my heart well and truly with this series.

My review-
What worked for me:
-a raging storm was created inside me after reading this book…it was THAT good
-so many loose ends were tied up and so many new/old questions were brought up
-their chemistry continued to burn up my Kindle
-I enjoyed learning more about Aiden and Elsa’s pasts, intense as it was
-this book flowed effortlessly from the others
-I can’t wait for the next story; namely that of Xanders and Kims
If I could give this more stars, I would because what an epic conclusion to Elsa’s and Aiden’s story! The Royal Elite High series is definitely one of my favorites of all time and this book blew me away. Twisted Kingdom kept me riveted from beginning to end with its intriguing plot, captivating characters, and all of the secrets revealed throughout the book.
This author has quickly become one of my one-click authors. Her writing is superb with her crafting unique stories that completely engages the readers. Aiden and Elsa are both complex and flawed characters, but that is what endeared them to me.
Aiden completely won me over. He is still intense, possessive, and a bit broken, but he is also caring towards and protective of Elsa. He is pretty much the epitome of all those anti-heroes I tend to hate to love and love to hate.
“What I feel for you isn’t only love, obsession, or addiction. It’s all of those and more.”
Elsa has truly grown as a character. As she slowly comes to terms with the pieces from her past, she handles them with strength and resilience. Stubborn to a fault, she struggles to trust Aiden and I love how she challenges him.
“I thought the worst monsters were the ones from my childhood. Turns out, my worst monster has the most hypnotic metallic eyes and the inky black hair. He has a penetrating gaze that dissects me and sees into the darkest depths of my soul.”
These two characters are perfect for each other and as the author slowly reveals more about their interwoven pasts, you can understand why these two have such an intense connection and all consuming love.
There are intricate games at play, kindle melting moments, twists and turns, and edge of your seat suspense in this high school bully romance. Over all, I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Kingdom and I cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us next!
From book 1 up to book 3, Rina Kent upped her game and slayed Aiden and Elsa’s story!
First up, it’s very rare for me to enjoy a whole set of trilogy. Usually, I’d end up having a favorite and something that I will disagree and won’t favor. However, in this case, it’s fcuking hard for me to choose a favorite book in this series! Starting from Levi and Astrid’s up to Aiden and Elsa’s, each book surpasses my expectations and leaves me dying and rooting for the story and its’ characters! Unbelievable but sooo true!
I read this in one sitting. One. Sitting. It’s been fucking forever since it happened to me. I’ve been so picky these past couple of months. But with this series? Take all my money! I am glued to my Kindle! It was that gripping and riveting.
The story building was amazing! The plot line was tight and the built up of the thrill was explosive! And hear me people, GROVELLING. The resident psycho of ours (*cough* Aiden *cough*) knows how to grovel! Unreal, I know but my God if this author didn’t manage to make it happen. And swoon-y. If you tell me before that Aiden is capable of being swoon-y I’d laugh my ass off. But, boy, did he deliver. And he delievered it soooo good.
I have many favorite parts in the story. One being that Aiden never gave up on Elsa. He fought for her with all his manipulative, conniving ways. He stood on his ground and went after her to get her back. He’s always been all-in when it comes to Elsa! But the most favorite of mine was how Aiden and Elsa continued to relearn each other in all ways. How strong their pull to each other bleeds in every page turn and how it intensifies as the story progresses. What these two have is so tangible and palpable and I am envious of what they have for each other. Reading them was the perfect bliss in a drought!
I should also mention how rare it is for me to like both main characters in a book but I really root for both of them. For once, I am not annoyed to be in the head of the heroine. For once, I didn’t felt sick with the heroes manipulative ways. Aiden and Elsa just..works. They’re the missing piece of one another. They live and breathe each other. They clash, they collide and the aftermath burns so bright, it’s so beautiful to witness. And I’m telling you, it’s the best feeling a reader can get by reading stories like this.
If you’re reading this review of mine and just waiting for the book to drop in the wild, do not worry. The author wouldn’t disappoint you! She absolutely slayed this series especially this book by pulling out all the big guns and not being shy about it! Riveting and thrilling, this book will leave you breathless and dying for more!
Twisted Kingdom is the third installment and final conclusion to Elsa & Aiden’s gut-wrenching, nearly obsessive love story. It can not be read as a standalone. The story takes intense twists and turns through out its run, none of them loose enough. I was wounded so tightly with each confession from Aiden and every tear dropped from Elsa’s outbursts that when I finally finished, I was so utterly lost. Even after three long books, I couldn’t get enough of these two. There’s no end or happily ever after for these two. Why? Because some love stories never end. They stay with you till the end of the time.

A truly unique and different book that I recommend everyone should read. This isn’t your typical Dark High School Bully Romance, this couple has twisted secrets and a terrifying past. Rina Kent should be proud of the masterpiece she has created.
Twisted Kingdom is the final book of Aiden and Elsa in the Royal Elite Series and it starts from where it was left off in Steel Princess. In Steel Princess, there were many new characters added in this mix of chaos and in Twisted Kingdom we get to know more about them and what role they play in the whole story.
I had mentioned this in my review of Steel Princess and how I don’t enjoy reading more than 2 books of a couple however without a doubt I can say that Aiden and Elsa were an exception. The way Rina has made Aiden and Elsa, I was left speechless. Rina has written them so beautifully that I couldn’t help but love each and every bit of them. The way they are flawed, the way they fit together so perfectly I just have not more than absolute adoration for them. I can’t help but emphasize how much justice Rina has done for this couple, it is hands down the best work of Rina.
Twisted Kingdom is written in 2 POVs, Elsa and Aiden, this was great because the readers get to see the story from two different point of views. In this book more of Elsa and Aiden’s past is revealed and I sympathize with how much this couple has gone through. You will see how Aiden and Elsa were always meant to be from the start and how they were connected when they were kids. The past they share is so cruel, my heart broke reading about their past scenes. They both have been through so much it makes sense why they were perfect for each other.
Aiden is the heartless bad boy but the minute he is with Elsa he is a complete sweetheart. In Twisted Kingdom you will see how selfless this broken psychopath is and how pure his love for Elsa truly is. His love is unapologetic and the way he goes out of his way to protect Elsa will just warm your heart.
Elsa is the strong, independent, ice princess. Her character is just as broken as Aiden’s and she grows into a strong person. She gets her memories back and her past is revealed in front of her. She stands for what she believes is right and does not bow down to the Kings. There were times when I felt that she was being unreasonable but when life does 360 degrees to you her reaction made sense. Seeing her bond with her father was truly amazing and some of the scenes of the father-daughter duo were adorable.
Along with her father, another new character is introduced in Twisted Kingdom; Teal. Teal is Knox’s twin sister and her character is so badass and sassy I absolutely loved the scenes she had with Ronan. Ronan is himself and I love his character because of his comedic scenes and his genuine care for Elsa.
There isn’t much we get to know about Kim but we do know for a fact that there had been something in-between her and Xander. There also seems to be something going on with Silver and Cole. As much as I absolutely loathed Silver for what she did to Elsa in the previous books, in Twisted Kingdom there was just something about her character that I pitied her.
Another character I loved was Knox, his bond with Elsa isn’t very close but in a few scenes, I did notice how he would get protective of her. He was the brother Elsa did not have and I feel like that’s something Elsa’s deserves after losing Eli.
Without giving too much away about this book all I can say is that Twisted Kingdom will not only answer all the questions you may have had after Steel Princess but it will leave you feeling satisfied with all the secrets revealed. So many secrets are revealed and the past unfolds itself, this is the best way to end this beautiful couple.
*Book 3 and the final installment of Aiden and Elsa’s wild ride is almost here, BUT, it’s NOT a standalone! Read NO further unless you have already read Deviant King and Steel Princess. Go, run, read them now..they are sooo amazing and phenomenal..what are you waiting for!!!*
I’ve been dying to get my hands on this final book in Aiden and Elsa’s rocky romance. Waiting has been hell!!! What a cliffhanger we were left with at the end of Steel Princess when someone supposedly 10 years gone shows up to rock everyone’s boat and I DO mean everyone! Then, of course, that bomb dropping that breaks Elsa heart into a million pieces..will she let Aiden explain what it all means to them?
Elsa’s memory continues to throw emotional curveballs her way as the beautiful little boy from the past with the metal colored eyes keeps grabbing at her heart, while he endures the torture his captor punishes him with. Flutters, flashes and dreams keep pounding at her and confusing what she knows with what she feels. Can soulmates meet at such a young age?
Meanwhile, as Elsa stays silent and keeps her distance, Aiden is bound and determined to make her see the light, feel his love and protection, no matter what it take and where she is right now. Who would have thought this dominating, possessive anti-hero would end up becoming my favorite?
So many twists in this puzzling, suspenseful tale. The struggle for power, it almost becomes another character, as parents try even harder to manipulate their children into playing their game until a winner takes all. Kings, Queens and Steel all have a stake here, in this hateful, never ending feud. New details and explanations of who is really who are revealed, just in case you were wondering! I know I was.
What will it take to make it stop? Who comes out on top in the end and will Aiden and Elsa be brought back to each other or kept apart forever by forces beyond their control?
Wow, does Rina Kent know how to ‘f’ with your mind or what? I wasn’t expecting to love or become so invested in these characters but OMG, these addictive books!!! I really will be waiting on the edge of my seat to see what Rina has in store for the other ‘horsemen’ in the Royal Elite series. Who could possibly knock Aiden off his throne??? I’m not sure anyone could after that amazing ending, but we will have to see, won’t we???
I was happy to recieve an early, complementary version of this book in exchange for this honest and unbiased review of it.
A wonderful conclusion to Aiden and Elsa’s story. One of the best bully romance stories I have read. I’m this book we get more of a look into their past and Elsa begins to remember more. More secrets are revealed, more obstacles to keep these two apart and new characters are introduced. Loved every bit of there story couldn’t out it down. Left me wanting more. Can’t wait to read Knight and Kim’s story. Love how alpha dominate these boys are.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
