Paranormal Shifter Military Special Ops Romance. Book seven in the bestselling series PSI-Ops! Paranormal Security and Intelligence Operative Rurik Romanov has been put on light duty while he recovers from a brutal attack orchestrated by The Corporation and their genetically engineered hybrids. The alpha-male Russian bear-shifter is not exactly thrilled with his new assignment—babysitting a … new assignment—babysitting a person of interest—but he’s a soldier, and an order is an order. The woman he’s tasked with keeping an eye on has ties to the very organization that left him injured in the first place. He isn’t sure if she’s friend or foe, but he does know his shifter side has a primal interest in her.

Holy cow! Talk about HOOKED. This book drew me in and I did not want to put it down. I had to because of adulting, but it was on my mind. Another grumpy alpha has met his match. His mate. Oh he met her before but just did not realize it. She was a little thing, scared and not trusting of those who rescued her. Even then the two developed a quick bond. Fast forward 20 years. Rurik has been injured and needs something “light” to help him get up to speed. Yeah, right. Remember, things are not always as they seem.
Bill is up to his usual antics and I choked on coffee.
This book is full of laughter, heat, danger, and it does have an HEA.
This has become one of my favorites, I mean I love how they are drawn to their mates when the mates are young but not realizing that is what is going on, then boom one force or another has them meeting face to face and it is like lightning striking and boom another role of the alphas falls and falls hard plus always a bad guy who wants to make them all hurt
Always love Gus and Bill. They bring humor into any situation. The men of PSI keep getting better. This is a must read and I can’t wait for the next book
I love this series by Mandy Roth and Act of Surveillance (Rurik and Liberty’s) story has become one of my all time favorites so far.
It has wickedly hot Alphas, powerfully young ladies coming into their own and find out who and what they truly are. And believe me you don’t want to tick these women off.
It also has two funny eccentric men by the name of Bill and Gus who are more strangely awesome and powerful then what they seem . They also bring the hijinks and laughs never a dull moment with these two.
It has been awhile since I read a PSI book in this series and was so excited to see that Rurik was getting his chance at a mate and love! While there is lots of drama and romance, there is lots to laugh at during the course of Rurik and Liberty getting to know each other. I mean when Bill and Gus are part of the story, you know that you will have lots and lots of laughs!
There were so many things that I loved about this story that I am not even sure where to start – I guess at the beginning. The prologue of events that happened twenty years in the past was a great opening. Introducing the three young girls who had been experimented on and would later play huge roles in the lives of these paranormal men – so intriguing!
The story moved along and there was lots of action as there is someone who is after each of them and played a part in their past. I don’t want to give away any spoilers!
I loved that both Rurik and Liberty were so starstruck as they met and didn’t get who they were to each other and yet were very visibly attracted to each other. It was kind of funny to see a deadly paranormal look like he was in a trance just from looking at a woman!
I could not put this book down and had to read it through in one sitting and I sure hope that the ending is giving us clues toward the next romance in the making!

Yet another of Mandy M Roth’s triumphs. She successfully made me laugh out loud, with her witty character dialog. Also continued the overall good guy/ bad guy storyline. The Ops theme throughout all of the books is still on track. While this is part of a series, it can very easily be read as a standalone book. If you like strong alpha males and watching alpha females emerging on the page, you’ll love this book and series. Enjoy!

This was a great book! It had such funny parts. I love Rurik and his “father” and how funny those two were. Liberty is amazing and I can’t wait to see what her and Isobel and Daisy get into!

So, I have read many,, many of Mrs. Mandy’s books and I thought for sure when I read the first one that that would be my favorite, but it’s not. Every single time I read another one I think for sure that is going to be my favorite. Rurik and Liberty’s book just might be my favorite. I love how Liberty is very protective of others and how she can also be a bit OCD (a spot of baking anyone?) Rurik is instantly smitten with her and is so sweet (for a big, surly bear). I love it. Bill and Gus have become a favorite part of every book, I mean, Bill is a riot and could cause one and I think Gus could probably diffuse one. Liberty and her friends have hidden their gifts for so many years and I am so glad they can let go. I love when Rurik recognizes her from the past. It is so sweet. I just LOVE this book and the characters. Now we just have to get rid of Olga!

The PSI guys where a hoot once again. Act of Surveillance focuses on Rurik, aka Boris aka Jack-as-s, Bill & Gus followed along with Rurik on this adventure. Those two will be the cause of me swallowing my pistachio nuts whole. I would gladly go for milkshakes with them. Rurik like the rest of the PSI gang, was totally clueless about his mate. Liberty, Daisy & Is-a-belt all lived trying to keep their skills so under the radar that they didn’t even know when they were in danger. I really enjoyed when Liberty and Rurik came crashing together. They didn’t really know what was up or down. The story played out well and was an easy read. While part of a series, it can stand alone. There were enough pieces for the story to continue with the next couple and the next emergency.
Ruric has been feeling “off” for a while now – well try a decade or two! He is still recuperating from a recent injury but Auberi has deployed him on a stake-out mission. But he also has babysitting duty – Wild Bill and Gus are going with him.
They’ve only arrived two minutes before Bill is getting him into trouble with the very people that he is supposed to be surveilling! Liberty sparks the interest of his bear and himself – that’s a wrinkle to his assignment!
Liberty and her friends all have a “talent” that they’d rather the world not know about. Libs, however, can make things float which is a bit harder to sweep under the rug! When the hunky Russian and his odd-ball room-mates move in across the road she knows her life is about to get more interesting but she never expected Rurik to also make her feel SAFE.
Unexpected enemies and new allies. Revisiting the horrors of her childhood and the new danger that surrounds Libs has her little life upset.
Rurik is a smart guy but he sure is slow on the uptake! Bill is back as his usual OTT self and Gus – I just love that 99% silent guy cos when he speaks you take note! Plenty of things are happening to keep you occupied as further Asia Project victims are revealed. Plenty of banter amongst the team and I loved learning about the blender edition of the “special” award they like to dish out LOL.
I’m not a writer, so I don’t have enough words to explain how amazingly awesome this book was! I was up late 2 nights in a row because I was on the edge of my seat and could not put it down until I fell asleep. lol Bill and Gus were funny as heck, as usual. I suggest not drinking coffee while reading, unless of course you like to spit it out because you were laughing so hard. I loved this book!
Mandy M. Roth has done it again! written a Book that has you crying and laugh-crying and biting your Nails…
i just love the involuntary Comedy that occurs around Rurik throughout the Book.
and now i have to go and re-read all of the other Books, because i can’t get enough!
I really enjoyed this addition to the series. Rurik and Liberty’s story is engaging, enjoyable and satisfying. I’m alway glad when there is a HEA and as usual Bill & Gus are hilarious.
Can’t wait to see more.
Act of Surveillance: Immortal Ops: Psi Ops #7 by Mandy M. Roth. This is Rurik and Liberty’s story. This book has it all- plot twists, chemistry, angst, PNR, witty banter, mystery, betrayal, secrets, attraction, swoon-worthy moments, appearances from previous members from past stories/books. Rurik and Liberty have this instant connection and rather than diminishing, it builds up and just explores in a rather brilliant fashion. The action is really good and the buildup towards the ending was good. Without giving much away, this story fits the series and the characters.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
Mandy M. Roth did it again. I loved this book and could not put it down. The way Liberty trusted Rurik from the beginning and threw grown men around with her magic was awesome. I love how the irony of Rurik the hardcore Russian’s mate was named Liberty and she wore an American flag apron. I love how she got the best of Olga. I love that Rurik was so protective of her and she was protective of him. Bill was as hilarious as usual as was Gus. I like that Gus stared down Pavel. Love that Isobel went to protect Liberty.

I absolutely adore the PSI-Ops/Immortal Ops World that Mandy has created. You can read each book on its own but I highly recommend reading the entire series to get the best overall experience. We’ve met Rurik in the previous books in the series and I loved the grumpy Russian. At the start of this book I fell in love with him a little more when I saw his caring and kindness with “Little Paw”. For being amazing Ops, they’re pretty slow when it comes to realizing when they meet their mates. Bill and Gus come along and “help” making the men go insane but the women love them. Every time Bill is around I cannot help but laugh out loud. There is so much chemistry, comedy and suspense in this story. I couldn’t put it down.
Ruric & Liberty
There is little content I can share without spoilers. A history that neither is aware of brings them together. He’s on protection or better-described babysitting duty of someone who doesn’t know they need watching over. To add to the bitter-tasting job, Bill and Gus are part of the “team”. Protection–ha, they’ll be lucky if he doesn’t kill the two before they are finished,
Her secrets are becoming more and more dangerous. Memories of the past are coming back in her dreams. The new neighbors include “the hot guy” as all three of the roomies call Rurik. She’s drawn to him more than she can imagine.
While the two fight nature’s calling, their enemies’ plot gets closer to them. Will the Corporation’s orders win or…
The author does an amazing job of reintroducing the characters from other books in the OPs world to remind us how they all come together. She shares some of the humor and pranks they all pull on each other. They’d die for them in battle but often ask for the same fate with their teasing actions.
You can count on really bad bad guys, amazing good guys, hysterical guys that fit somewhere just not easy to figure out where, lots of action, and plenty of steam.
Thanks for another visit with our favorite world of OPS, Mandy M Roth.
