We enjoyed this book but there were a lot of “Oh come on” moments. Good wordsmith and descriptions were well written and vivid.
I struggled a bit with this book as I didn’t find Jens particularly engaging although I sympathized with him being clueless about his wife. Maybe I read too many suspense novels to be fooled, but the intended misdirection was a bit predictable. I did, however, stick it out to see how the story ended.
A sad tale.
unusual but believable plot. an enjoyable read.
Can’t wait for the next book.
Some good characters and some not so good.
How it started off was fine but I was very disappointed with the ending. Unfortunately the teenage boy in the book seemed so iffy with being nice one minute and horrible the next…and neither parent seemed to even think about reprimanding him. It took away from the story. I really did not care for the ending.
My Wife’s Husband has a market niche as a psychological thriller alongside books that have found success as family thrillers, like The Wife Between Us, The Silent Wife, Behind Closed Doors, and Gone Girl.
