After her father’s accident, Corrie Lancaster moves back to the family farm just in time to help with the harvest. With a bumper crop of wheat waiting, the farm’s only hired hand quits, leaving Corrie with no choice but to accept the help of her old boyfriend’s older brother, Aaron Tuttle. It seems like the perfect plan until Corrie realizes ex-flame Luke isn’t over her. But even with Luke’s … apologies and attempts to rekindle their romance, Corrie can’t forget his past betrayal.
Between harvesting, keeping tabs on her younger siblings, and watching her parents’ marriage crumble, Corrie leans on Aaron for emotional support. Wading through jealousy was never on Corrie’s to-do list, but as she navigates the choppy waters, she finds herself falling for Aaron’s good looks and charming wit.
Just when Corrie thinks she has everything under control, a stranger seeking shelter comes to the farm, and an old nemesis returns for revenge. As destructive forces align against her, Corrie must decide which man’s love will bring her back to life and restore her faith in herself, her family, and her purpose.

This is a beautifully written book that hooks you on the first page. It’s so much more than a romance, it has drama, suspense and is full of emotions. It will make you laugh, cry and feel every emotion in between. The author brought the book to life with her words; you can see the scenery and you connect with the characters. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Great book that I couldn’t put down!
Enjoyed the South Dakota setting, I loved Corrie and Aaron’s story. Some romantic suspense books are too edgy and dark. This one had a little danger and a little whodunit without the darkness.
Lovable characters.
Relatable situations.
What to do? What to do???

In Amber Waves of Grace, Corrie Lancaster has returned home to run her family’s farm after her father was injured in an accident, leaving him unable to run it. Under much pressure to keep the farm running and her family supported, Corrie finds help in Aaron Tuttle, a neighbor and the older brother of her high school boyfriend, Luke. As they work together to harvest the fields, feelings start to develop for both, but Corrie believes that Aaron will never be able to overlook the mistakes of her past, and Aaron believes that he is too much older than Corrie for her to be interested in him. As the two work together and their relationship continues to deepen, things start happening on the farm that both threaten Corrie’s family and lead Corrie to believe that she may not be strong enough to carry the burden of running the farm. Can Corrie and Aaron find out who is behind the threats and stop him before the Lancasters lose everything? And will Corrie and Aaron be able to overcome their fears and admit their feelings?
I really loved Amber Waves of Grace. Corrie was so easy to like and relate to, because she was flawed and real. She feared rejection because of past mistakes, and I think a lot of people can identify with that fear. She was emotional and sometimes dorky. Aaron was also a very well written character. He was emotional, too, but he tried to keep it in, as guys do. He was thoroughly confused by Corrie’s emotions, and at times was ready to give up, except that he knew deep down that he would do anything for her. The story itself was exciting, and moved along at a good pace. I don’t typically re-read books, but this is one I will go back and read again.

I was given an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This book was action packed! Loved the characters, the excitement, just everything about this book!! Great mixture of character development, mystery, and action.Takes readers on an emotional and highly compelling journey. I can’t wait to read the next installment.
A new author to me. A terrific surprise finding an author whom I love this much from the start. I am like a lot of readers. I don’t like books that read too slow or lag. This book was compelling from the start, it’s the kind of book you can’t put down. You have to stay up to read. It is well written. The story flowed just right. The characters and their traits were believable and realistic. A great read. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from HiddenGems
I was very impressed by this story. As someone who has lived on a farm my entire life, I found this book to be interesting and believable. The characters were well written. The story line dealt with more than farming, much more. I’d recommend that you give this book a try, you might be very impressed. Jessica Berg is an author I will be following.
With her family falling apart, Corrie comes home to run the farm. Her father was in a car accident, her mother’s not dealing well with him, and the farm has been in some trouble due to drought and falling grain prices. Luke, her former boyfriend, the one who broke her heart, is now the pastor at the church in this small, close-knit community. Luke’s brother, Aaron, comes home to help on his family farm when their brother is killed in Afghanistan. When her farm hand quits, Aaron starts helping her out with the harvest, and she quickly realizes which brother she’s in love with. The book is a beautiful story of family, faith and community, healing and forgiveness, and new beginnings. This is such a giving family, taking in Violet when she’s pregnant with no where to go, giving her a home, making sure that she feels like she’s part of them. This is my first read from this author, and I’m looking forward to more.

Corrie gets called home after being away for seven years to help run the farm when her father is injured. She accepts help from Aaron who is her ex’s brother and a really nice guy unlike his cheating brother Luke. Corrie and Aaron grow close as they work together on the farm. Enjoyed reading this faith based story which also had some twists in the plot.
The great storyline and the wonderfully created characters kept me totally enthralled as each and every page was turned until the very end!
This is the first book I’ve read by Jessica Berg, but it definitely won’t be my last. She has written a fantastic book with some wonderful characters that truly are family. I loved how the townspeople step up to help, when it’s especially needed. Corrie is a strong female and returns home to run the farm, after her dad’s accident. She was the high school sweetheart of Luke Tuttle. Luke is now the pastor at Grace Community Church. Aaron Tuttle is Luke’s older brother and he returns to Sandy, South Dakota, after their brother, Caleb, is killed while serving in Afghanistan. When George, Corrie’s hired hand, quits, Aaron starts helping at the Lancaster farm. Aaron wants Corrie, but so does Luke. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say that this author sure knows how to write a great story. Do yourself a favor and grab your copy to see what happens.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from BookSirens and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Corrie, a young woman raised on the family farm, goes home from the city to try and bring in the harvest when her father is hurt in an accident. The hired hand quits, turning threatening. The ex-boyfriend who abandoned Corrie and broke her heart is the local preacher. His older brother, Aaron, offers to help Corrie on the farm, and feels he must hide his attraction to Corrie because of her past with his brother. A destitute and very pregnant woman wrecks her car near the farm and is taken in by the family. Complications arise–quickly and believably. Arson destroys the barn and valuable equipment. Another fire destroys a soybean field. Still another fire threatens to kill Corrie and her siblings. Through it all, Corrie struggles to always do the right thing, even when her life and loves are at risk.
This is a wonderful story, very authentic and exceptionally well written. While there is a faith-based element to it, anyone of any persuasion should enjoy it. The characters are developed with depth and sensitivity, and the story line is compelling and heart-felt. Everything in the story is authentically detailed, and there’s a “you are there” quality to it all.
Women’s lit and romance fans will find much to like, and there’s more than a touch of mystery. What makes it work so well is the combination of the author’s talent with words and her sensitivity to her topics. There’s a lot of truth in this book too. Forgiveness and learning to offer as well as accept help are strong themes.
A well written story by an Author I have not read before. This Author brought these people to life for me, it is almost like I was there watching the story happen. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Corrie comes home to help her family and their farm. Her father has been injured in an accident, and she is needed. What she finds there is more than she had bargained for.
The Tuttle Brothers, Aaron & Luke, are wanting to help her. One is her ex, as well as a pastor. One is the older brother who intrigues her. Either way there is baggage and emotions coming to the surface she never expected to face again.
I was having trouble putting this one down. The charm of the characters, the family ties, the lure of the farm and handsome me – it all got to me. I found these characters deep and compelling. With a rich and complex storyline, we follow the main character as she navigates her new world.

Corrie Lancaster has come home to run the family farm after her father’s accident. And while she never really saw herself as a farmer -it runs in her blood- so she has this sense of pride that may keep her going, but also prevents her from asking for help when she desperately needs it. Her main hired man who has helped run things on the farm for years has quit – right on the cusp of harvesting season. Enter Aaron Tuttle. He is more than willing to help the Lancaster family. And even with things take a dangerous turn, he still does all he can to help Corrie and her family. Add in a mysterious pregnant woman showing up and some disastrous events on the farm – and the author has written a book that was fun, quick, and intriguing. I didn’t want to put it down once I started reading it.
I must say, even though the I don’t usually head towards faith based books, one of the things I enjoyed the most was that during everything that went wrong, and all the curveballs that were thrown her way, Corrie still kept her faith. I have always had difficulty bonding to characters that have that perfect faith – the kind that never gets rattled no matter what life throws at them; but the author really showed the internal struggle that Corrie was going through, at times, and it made her character much more relatable. Corrie’s faith & religion play an important part in her life, and her family’s life. There is some romance to this book, yes (sweet and cute love blooming between neighbors) but it is not the main plot. More so, this book tells the story of family, faith, and perseverance. Even when she wasn’t sure she could continue on, Corrie remained strong for her family and fought through the pain – so to speak. She realized that it was ok to accept help from others and that leaning on a friend wasn’t a bad thing.
This book was not too long – about 240 pages – and the story is gripping; it’s a great read and I can’t wait to see what else the author comes out with.
*4 stars – I was offered a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Corrie Lancaster has the weight of the world on her shoulders. With her father’s accident leaving him unable to work the family ranch all those duties fell into her lap, and then to make matters worse she is down a ranch hand. But with any community like theirs folks pull together when times get tough, and offer up their help where it’s needed.
Which brings the Tuttle brothers to her doorstep, both offer to help with the harvest, and before long both are vying for her attention too. She has heartbreaking history with one of them, and the other just wants to chance to prove he is worthy of her…which will her heart choose?
Amber Waves of Grace paints a beautiful picture of human strength, resilience, and the unbreakable bonds of family. Corrie and her family had a lot of obstacles standing in their way, but she drew from their strength and found a way to tackle every issue and keep their family operation afloat. She also found love somewhere along the way too, but not without a lot of baggage to sort through and some much needed healing. This was such an inspiring story, it reminded me of the tight knit panhandle community where I come from, and the people there who would give everything, if needed, to bring you just a bit of relief and happiness. I must say this is one of the most impressive first reads that I have read in some time, it’s words were captivating and rich with feeling, and it’s characters were so easy to love. There is so much to love between the pages here, it’s perfectly penned words brought me joy, tugged on my heartstrings, and renewed my faith in the kindness of strangers. Highly recommend!
