A standalone enemies to lovers romantic comedy Dating? Lower than a bikini wax on my list of priorities.Blind dating? Let’s just say I’d rather have a Brazilian – and not the hot soccer-player variety. So the fact I’ve agreed to do a blind-date feature for Pink, the magazine I work for, and write it all up Bridget Jones style means one thing – Pink is in dire straits and this is my best shot at … – Pink is in dire straits and this is my best shot at saving my job.
Make that my only shot because date number one is with Jack Reese – the son of the publisher of Pink – and he dislikes me as much as I dislike him.
Or at least I thought he did.

I think I have a new favorite Brenda St John Brown book! The Blind Date Diaries had everything you want in a romcom. It was funny, sweet, and sexy. Enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes and the tension between Jack and Angeline was perfect!
Brenda St John Brown never fails to ‘wow’ me. I was lucky enough to read an early version of The Blind Date Diaries, and I was hooked from the beginning. I found myself thinking about Jack and Angeline whenever I set the story aside, and they stuck with me after I finished. Be sure to pick this one up if you like hot and hilarious romcoms with great characters and tons of chemistry.
10/10 would recommend. Things I LOVE: Enemies to lovers, A Jerk hero who redeems himself ( I’m looking at you Jack) and a curvy gal that’s strong! I loved this rom-com from start to finish, and I found myself laughing A LOT. This is one of those fun books, that starts out with an assignment which ends with so much more! If you’re looking for a fun, laugh out loud romcom I couldn’t recommend this one more!
Cute, fun and easy to get into. The Blind Date Diaries will have you laughing and waiting in anticipation for Jack and Angelina to finally find their way to each other. Their attraction is undeniable, but they refuse to be the first one to give in. The dates set up by Pink’s readers will keep a smile on your face, if not laughing out loud. The supporting characters are just as much fun as our couple. These two made a lasting impression on my heart.
A feisty rom-com that had me laughing. Jack Reese in particular drew me in, with his self-deprecating humor and drive to win Angelina’s heart. I love how the romance was set alongside Ang’s magazine job, reminding me a bit of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Great read!

The Blind Date Diaries is just the type of cutesy and fun romcom I love for a light easy read. Angelina is, essentially, on assignment dating and writing about it for the magazine where she works, Pink. Her first date, Jack, is that guy you just love to hate, as well as the son of Angeline’s boss. Thank goodness first impressions are not always truly representative of the person, at least not in this story. Jack, seemingly a jerk, may have redeeming qualities after all. Angeline might have to reconsider her feelings, or lack thereof, for Jack. Maybe he’s not so bad? Is it enemies to lovers or enemies to enemies for these two? The journey to find the answer is delightfully sassy and slightly frustrating with a dash of sweet and spicy here and there for good measure. The characters complement each other, even when they are at odds, and I found Angeline and Jack quite entertaining. The story is nicely balanced and well written. Readers and fans of romcom and chicklit should definitely try this one! It is so reminiscent of How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days, and I have always loved that movie!u2063

A rom com at its best with a side of enemies to lovers just to give you that touch of fire. Angeline finds herself the centre of a social experiment of blind dates, however what sets a path she never thought she would be travelling is that the first date is with the boss’s son Jack. As emotions flare and expectations and assumptions are thrown, these two will battle feelings and confusion. A story that pulls you in to the drama, angst, entertainment and love story between Jack and Angeline. This was my first book by this author and it has just ensured that it will not be my last. A book that not only fills your heart and makes you swoon but has you laughing as well.
Is It Really Blind
This story caught me off guard. Totally not what I was expecting.
With that being said the story is great and Brenda St John Brown brings Jack and Angelines lives together in a way that shows sometimes things are right in front of your face, but you have to get out of your own way in order to see and except it.
Being cocky in order to get someone’s attention is not always the best choice, and Jack learns this in an around about way when it comes to wanting Angelines time.
Sometimes one may realise something is real before it actually clicks for the other person.
But when life events come together there is no way of getting away from it, so you except it for what it’s worth and move on.
I don’t want to spoil the read, but I will say, you will enjoy the love story as it unfolds. Be sure to include this on your To Read list.
I always love reading Brenda’s books, but I think this one is a new favorite of hers.
Cute, Quirky, Enjoyable!
This was a fun, hate to lovers story with a fun twist. Angeline finds herself in the social experiment of going on reader chosen blind dates and writing and article for the magazine she works for. When her first candidate turns out to be Jack, the boss’s son and who seemingly hates her, she is ready to throw in the towel. Surprisingly Jack is different than Angeline expects and gradually feelings begin to change. It was fun to read the other dates and by date three I was totally rooting for Jack.
This was a fun to read rom-com with a laid back hero, down-on-her luck heroine and bagel’s galore. There’s a lot to like in this story. First, who doesn’t love a blind date, especially when it results in a unlikely romance? One tipsy night of ‘almost’, one reluctant blind date, and one Brie My Baby bagel brings Jack and Angeline together. This story is loaded with sassy banter, and two mismatched lovers that end up making the perfect match after all.
I’ll have to admit the the Bagel sandwiches partially stole the show for me. From the name of the restaurant, Oh My Bagel, to all of the bagel sandwich names, I just snickered every time I read a new one. My Funny Ham Melt Tine, My Hammy Vice, Celine Dijon to name a few. I want a bagel shop with these ingenious names. I need to try these out so I can decide if they’re as good as they’re described in the book. Another note: we have a hunky hero and a curvy heroine within these pages. I also have to say, love the cover.
Don’t let your heart nor your stomach miss out on this cute rom-com.
