There’s nobody Micah hates more than his ex-stepbrother, Jake. And nobody he wants quite as desperately. For nine long years, Micah has begrudgingly tried to move on. How could they ever be together when Jake never spends more than a handful of days in the same country, and never more than one night with the same person? When his job sends Micah to a remote mountain cabin on snowy Mount Hood, a … Hood, a misunderstanding strands Jake there at the same time. Was it actually coincidence or in fact premeditated? Either way, Micah will need to put his resentment—and his longing—aside for long enough to survive the elements that might be conspiring to kill them.
As the snow levels rise, and their situation grows more dire, Micah and Jake might finally be forced to use the heat between them to survive.
Snow Job is a full length novel and book 5 of the Snowed In Valentine’s Inc. series. It can be read as a standalone.

Micah and Jake have been at odds from the moment they met after their parents got married 10 years ago and it continued even after they got divorced, could getting stranded in a dilapidated cabin during a snowstorm be what they need to finally find some common ground?
Okay, so I really liked Jake, he wasn’t really the one who started with the animosity between him and Micah, and while he definitely went with it and boy if he didn’t pull a great one with that fish, LOL, I just couldn’t find it in myself to blame him. It took me a while longer to empathize with Micah. I could see where he was coming from and how lashing out at Jake rather than jumping him sounded like the better alternative, all things considered. Micah was so stubborn, though, even with Jake trying to make an effort to mend their differences and him jumping to conclusions. I felt he was very juvenile in his reactions, which didn’t endear him to me. This doesn’t mean that I didn’t love him and Jake together, because I totally did, the sparks practically jumped from the page whenever they were in close proximity, and the UST and later the sex? OMG, off-the-charts hot!
Their parents were cool, but really meddling, although I guess we can say it kinda backfired on them? Hahahaha!
Snow Job was a great read, light, fun, hot and not overly angsty, and the epilogue was genius! Actually the one thing that would’ve made it better would’ve been Micah doing a grand gesture, too, and not just Jake, although I could see why Ms. Bolden did it the way she did it. Definitely recommendable!

This book had me swooning and heart-eyed throughout its entirety. The chemistry between Micah and Jake was smoking and on fire. Beth Bolden has done it again with this novel, capturing two characters that love-to hate each other while also deep-down in denial about their true emotions. This novel features an ex-step-brother romance, with enemies-to-lovers trope. It is off the charts HOT. I would say this is a must read for those looking for a cute and steamy MM romance.
Micah’s mother married Jake’s father when he was 15-years-old. Upon meeting Jake, Micah knew there was no denying it anymore; he was gay and he wanted his new brother. So, in order to prevent himself from revealing his true feelings he did whatever he could to put distance between them. Except Jake didn’t give in and take Micah’s snipping, he gave as good as he got.
Now nine-years later Micah is sent by his mother to value a cabin for a possible project proposal. Unbeknownst to him, Jake is also sent to the cabin by his father for the same reasons. What neither of their parents intended was for the two men to be caught in a blizzard leaving them trapped in the snowy cabin without much food, and heat for an undeterminable amount of days. In close counters, Jake has had enough with all of Micah’s antics and insists he just speak his mind. So, Micah lays all his cards on the table and finally admits to Jake that he had a crush on him and he acted out as a defense mechanism to push him away. But Jake had a secret too; he liked Micah but placed him firmly in the “kid” category, because if he didn’t, he would have to admit just how attracted he was to his ex-step-brother.
Now, deep in the remote snowy mountains, and alone both men realize that they need to be upfront about their feelings and have open communication if this so-called connection and chemistry they have could lead to any future between the two.
Well, it was a real treat to read this story! I loved the premise and the characters, so together with Beth’s writing, it was sure to be a gem. Only one thing wrong with it… it was too short! I need more!
Micah and Jake are ex-stepbrothers who are forced to stay in a cabin together. Micah has the most trouble dealing with this and had an attitude. At first I wasn’t to fond of him but slowly I warmed up to him when he started revealing his true self. Jake is likeable from the beginning. He balanced out Micah perfectly. I enjoyed reading this addition to Valentine’s Inc series. It had low angst, humor, sexiness and much needed love for Micah. So happy Jake didn’t give up on him….and me either
I’ll just say this is a wonderful story, very well written and a confirmation of Beth Bolden talent. Written from Jake and Micah alternate POV, over 50% of the story is set in a cabin where the two ex-stepbrothers are snowed-in and are forced to face yearlong resentments and misconceptions. And this is where the writing ability of the author shines, because the dialogues are essential and make up the story, not the interaction of the MCs with the rest of the world, but on the contrary the internal struggle and the externalizations of their thoughts and feelings.
Loved it!
This was the story of ex-stepbrothers Micah and Jake, who have had a contentious relationship since they met in their teens. They found themselves snowed in together, and all the pent up feelings began to come out.
I have to say, I found Micah difficult to like at times. He wasn’t good at dealing with his feelings, so he tended to lash out at Jake unnecessarily. When he was being open and honest, he was sweet and funny, and I could understand Jake’s attraction to him. Meanwhile, I loved Jake, with his big smile and willingness to keep giving Micah another chance. I really wanted these two to work out their issues and find a way to make things work together.
This story is part of a fun series, and it comes from one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed it, and I’m sure others will, too.
Micah and Jake
Trapped by snow they can’t leave the cabin they’re in. They promised their parents to inventory the cabin for a plan for the future. Micah hates his ex-stepbrother Jake, not! He has a crush from the very first minute he saw Jake and he will never tell.
But being trapped brings them together. Micah even confesses his crush from years ago. They kiss and more.
After being freed from all the snow and safe in a hotel they have a passionate night, only Micah is gone and leaves Jake behind without a word.
Jake is deeply hurt and doesn’t want to see Micah anymore, if possible maybe ever.
Lovely story with a lot of miscommunication, unspoken words and unspoken feelings.
I loved both men. They are stubborn, fun, vulnerable and sweet.
Wonderfully written, steady-paced story. With great environments and a nice plot.
I loved the bubble where it was all about Micah and Jake
Forced Proximity, Spreadsheets, Ex-Stepbrothers oh my! A totally cute and snarky story that had me grinning from the start. Micah is delightfully hateful and poor Jake is equal parts confused and conflicted. The story is so engaging near the end I was yelling at the characters! Another winning from Beth Bolden.
Solid Sexy Romance. This book hits pretty well all the notes one expects in a MM romance – decent story, a fair amount of sex, etc – and even hits a couple of tropes that are more widely popular, such as second chance, (ex) step family, enemies to lovers, wild and adventuresome vs nerdy and … “locally oriented”. I believe this is my first from this author, and if this is indicative of her style it is a good one to have. I’ll likely be checking out more from her based on this tale. Very much recommended.
Together
Ooh, I love enemies to lovers and Micah and Jake are that and so much more. Micah is very prickly and at first I wasn’t sure about him but he grew on me the more I learned. I especially enjoyed his feistiness. Jake, on the other hand, I fell for immediately. He’s thoughtful, charming and I adore his personality but he also keeps a lot hidden. Together they shine.
“You couldn’t ever be just another guy…you’re the man I love.” Gah, the pining with these two. I loved it and wanted to smack them as they frustrated me and hurt my heart at times. But the steam with these two, so hot. I love them dearly and they brought me so much joy and happiness with their sarcasm, bickering and crazy love.
I thought Snow Job was just so sweet and cute. I love enemies to lovers especially when there’s just so much miscommunication mixed in. It was hot, sexy and fast-paced. I loved it and totally recommend it this Valentine’s story.
That possibly naughty stepbrother to lovers storyline. So good! The slow to start sexiness that heats up and makes the being snowed in so much better. Loved every moment! This series is fantastic!
Stepbrothers to lovers! All the books I have read from this author are great and this one is no different. Micah and Jake are stuck which is the premise of this whole multi author series and tensions fly! Is a great read and loved the parents *giggle*
Snow Job by Beth Bolden is part of the Snowed In – Valentine’s Inc. Releases. It is a contemporary m/m romance with a steep brother, enemies to lovers spice and the added bonus of forced proximity due to a snow storm. Jake and Micah create heat strong enough to melt her your cold winter hearts. Their story is fun – with angst, humor, and spice.
This enemies to lovers romance had a lot of love-hate from Micah toward Jake. Micah was really mean in what he said to Jake sometimes which made it hard for me to get into this book at first. But eventually Jake wore Micah down enough that the meanness started to reside and the love that Micah had pushed down for years emerged. A sweet winter romance at a reclusive cabin in the woods.
