Half Man. Half Machine. All Theirs.* * *While these cyborg warriors battle to escape their cruel manufacturers, they find the human females they are destined to love for all eternity. This omnibus includes the first seven stories in the Cyborg Sizzle series: Releasing Rage, Breathing Vapor, Being Green, Crash And Burn, Defying Death, Chasing Mayhem and Jumping Barrel. All of these Cyborg Romances … these Cyborg Romances are set in a dark, gritty, often violent universe.
Releasing Rage
Rage, the Humanoid Alliance’s most primitive cyborg, has two goals–kill all of the humans on his battle station and escape to the Homeland. The warrior has seen the darkness in others and in himself. He believes that’s all he’s been programmed to experience.
Until he meets Joan.
Breathing Vapor
Vapor is the most advanced cyborg the Humanoid Alliance has ever developed. He’s a finely honed weapon, a warrior without parallel, half man and half machine. No lock can contain him. No being can stop him. Whatever he wants, he takes.
He wants Mira Breazeal, the Designer’s daughter.
Being Green
Green, a cyborg warrior, cares for one being—his plant Windy. When Windy becomes sick, he’ll do anything to heal her, even venture across the universe to visit a worlds-renowned plant doctor.
He doesn’t expect to find love.
Crash And Burn
Crash was manufactured to be one of the best warriors in the universe. The cyborg has spent many human lifespans fighting the enemy. But, unlike his battle-loving brethren, he doesn’t enjoy killing. When he escapes the Humanoid Alliance, he vows to never end another life.
Then he meets Safyre, an infuriating human female, and he considers breaking his vow.
Defying Death
Cyborgs don’t show emotion. Death learned that lesson early in his long lifespan. To survive, he hides his fierce passions behind a stoic wall. He calls no warrior friend. He never admits to caring for any being.
Even the human female he’s destined to love.
Chasing Mayhem
Mayhem has spent his lengthy lifespan obeying the Humanoid Alliance’s rules. Finally free from their cruel control, the cyborg warrior plans to cause chaos. He infiltrates a remote settlement, provokes the savage locals until they want him dead, and allows himself to be captured by the sexiest little Retriever he has ever laid his mechanically-enhanced eyes on.
Jumping Barrel
Barrel requires an Expert for the Tau Cetian orphans. He’s looking for a female who is willing to commit to a lifespan-long role, who is comfortable with moving off planet, and who, preferably, has the ability to speak the offsprings’ first language.
His female, however, is looking for a hero.

A fine, expansive collection of the earliest stories in the Cyborg Sizzle series. This is truly a bargain: they would cost much more purchased separately. I purchased most of these individually, and reviewed them when they were initially released.
*Releasing Rage
The story is explosive! The way Joan and Rage’s relationship builds is unique and moving. Joan is well-educated, emotionally strong and intelligent. Still, she realizes Rage must be in control to accept her assistance. The way this relationship develops is fascinating to experience, and SO rewarding! Yes, there are dark passages, but love overcomes all.
This book guarantees I will read each book in this series. Book budget? Pssht! I’ll figure it out!
*Breathing Vapor
Vapor is the best, and he has the best female. Love this book!
I love a heroine (Mira) who, as a child, manages to take a horrifying experience and turn it into a lifelong plan to help others. She does this while coming across as “Mira, the Merciless.” What strength of character!
I love the dialog and the cyborg thought process. It seems so ‘right’ for a logic driven being. Vapor is determined to help his brethren escape, but is irresistibly drawn to a human female; the Designer’s daughter, Mira. He may have to kill her. Betrayal is likely…until he gets to know her better. It’s wonderful watching their relationship blossom. Each provides something missing that enriches the other’s life. Such a satisfying story! It couldn’t be better!
*Being Green
A most delightful story of Green, his most treasured companion – a small plant named Windy, and Shelby – a botanist consulted to repair Windy. I know you’ll love the outcome of this one as much as I do!
*Crash and Burn
Each book in the series just keeps getting better! Considering how much I loved “Releasing Rage,” that’s saying a lot!
The characters are complex. Crash is a ‘killing machine’ who hates to kill. Safyre is a strong, determined woman on a mission that is doomed to fail. Follow this couple and their friends as they fight fearsome battles to retrieve their loved ones and make their own place with their growing cyborg family. There are more stories to come. I can’t wait!
*Defying Death
Death and Tifara. Insatiable!
He found her. He rescued her. He would keep her safe. Always on the alert for another virus, Tifara constantly analyzes data. But she can’t resist the attraction, the need she feels for Death. He IS persuasive! Ever resourceful, Death finds a way to engage Tifara’s need for knowledge. Satisfaction for both is guaranteed! “She was his sunrise and his sunset, the sheath to his dagger, the heart within his metal frame.”
Death is used to constant communication with his fellow cyborgs. He needs to escape detection by humans or cyborgs to guarantee his mate’s safety. Either could endanger their existence. What will happen next? Will their lives be cut short? Can they exist on their own? I promise this will be a very satisfying Cyborg seduction!
*Chasing Mayhem
Wild and free. Forever. An outstanding story!
Mayhem is free and he plans to create chaos! Imee is a Retriever whose family is being held hostage to ensure her continued obedience. After meeting Imee, Mayhem has a change of plans.
I love the Mayhem’s wily cyborg conversations geared to getting the action desired from Menace. But they know each other well! So much posturing – they make me laugh!
Cynthia Sax books are always meaningful and deeply emotional.
I love her way with cyborgs. Each one finds exactly the match for him. The one being who will complement his temperament and he, hers! Soul satisfaction for each of them.
*Jumping Barrel
I simply love these cyborg stories!
It is hilarious to see / hear the cyborgs attempt to understand the human female. The terminology is priceless! Their attempts to teach the young Tau Cetians is a bust. I can see why they need a nurturer such as Nola to assist them! Barrel is a dream come true with his protective instincts to these young ones, even the one he considers ‘faulty.’ Nola, with her failure to comply with the rules, is certainly a perfect match for the job…and Barrel! To get the most out of this short story, it’s best to have read the previous books in the series, through “Crash and Burn.”
