I Liked this book from the beginning to the end, I got this book for free thru, an Advanced Review Copy, ARC, with a honest review freely given. I thought the characters were very good fit and made the story go very well in my opinion. I thought the storyline was so good and it was enjoyable to read in my opinion.
Jewel Cave is the third book in the Circles series, but you can quite easily read it as a standalone as I did. The story focuses Clint and Griff. They have been together for ten years, and are happy with each other. Griff is a US Marshall and Clint is a writer. They have their own issues to deal with, but the main story is about a writer friend of Clint’s who goes waaaaay too far.
This was a great story I was really able to enjoy. With plenty of snippets into a writer’s life, plus the procedural side of things, there was always something happening for me to get to grips with. I loved how Clint was so strong all the way through, and yet proved himself to be human too. I thought how it was written for both him and Griff afterwards was completely believable, and certainly kept the tension going.
A fantastic read, full of intrigue and danger, with no editing or grammatical errors that I noticed. The pacing was smooth, and the transition from one scene to another was seamless. Thoroughly enjoyed every word, and definitely recommended by me.

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
Jewel Cave tells the story of Griff and Clint, who we met in Barlow Lens. Clint is an author of suspense and his partner Griff is a US Marshal. These two men are in a 10 year relationship; however, as with many couples, they have fallen into a rut. Busy schedules and very different lines of work has caused distance to develop.
The story begins with warning signs that a former writing group friend has crossed the line into obsessed stalker. Although Clint is creeped out by this man’s intentions and inappropriate boundaries, he hesitates to bring it up to Griff, for fear he’ll over-react. On top of these suspicions, Clint has a habit of forgetting to lock the doors when he’s home alone, despite Griff’s warnings.
When Griff becomes suspicious that there is a problem, Clint becomes defensive and they have a fight. By the time Clint, and everyone else, takes the threat seriously, it’s too late.
I enjoy everything I had read from this writer, but Griff is by far my favorite character to date. He is the epitome of strong support. From the moment he realized Clint and the dogs were not simply out for a walk, he does everything he can to ensure Clint will have a successful recovery. This wasn’t the kind of book with hot love scenes, rather it details a deep and abiding love that goes off the tracks and how a profound event brings it back to its beginnings. As always the dialogue is witty and well executed. Another great book with a HEA.
