Great start to a series,I always love a kick butt FMC and Kahlia jumps right in the mix. I love the idea of some new species to learn about. The characters are very intriguing and keep me in my toes. Great plot and story telling this will be fun to see where the series goes next!!
A strong start to a new series! I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read from Banet and this was no different! This book was original, innovative, and well written. I really really liked the characters. Set in the same world as the Jacky Leon series, we learn about Kaliya Sahni. I am so intrigued and ready to read more about this world and am excited see how the author keeps expanding on it. I can’t wait to see what happens next and see where Banet takes the story from here. I highly recommend this book!
Great series starter!
Loved this new series starter and couldn’t put it down! Bounty is action packed and well written, with some great supporting characters. It crosses over a little with the Jacky Leon series since it is in the same world. I thought the length of the book was perfect for setting out this new story and new main characters. There are several ways the overarching plot could go for the series, and it will be exciting to see which way she takes it.
Kaliya is a very strong and confrontational female MC who has a serious and challenging job. She occupies a difficult place in the supernatural world in both her business and personal life. When Rafael comes into her life things get more complicated in lots of ways. I felt like I got to know her well in this book and can’t wait to see how she grows through the series.
The book is super slow burn (think its supposed to be a 6 book series if I remember right). I didn’t feel that I got to know all that much about Rafael in Bounty, but I’m sure that will come over the series. He’s definitely had a hard go with the supernatural world, and he has a lot to learn. I was sad not to be able to go straight to book 2, and I’m really looking forward to reading it!
This was a really good book. It is set in the same world as Jacky Leon. I love that Kahliya is such a kick ass lady. There were so many questions raised in this book that are making me very impatient for the next book. I am so curious about Rafeal and where their relationship will go.
I was given an ARC for my honest review.
Last of her kind, first of his, I can’t wait to read what happens next. The mix of characters and personalities had me laughing out loud multiple times. Great book!
to start this off i have read and loved every single book that kristem banet has written and when she wanted to break away from rh for while i wasnt sure what she would do but i knew it would be epic complex amazing just like her other works so when she started her new tribunal world with jacky leon i was hooked immensely and didnt regret it one bit lol and when she announced she was going to have a 2nd series in this world i was verry curious as well i didnt think shed out do her self again so soon but she has kaliya is an amazing complex character with rough exterior that hides a good heart shes complex and grey personality morals type but shes also kind and a good person deep down she may have that rough exterior as mentioned but i believe it was just her way of handling things that she endured in her life just my own thoughts 🙂 lastly one more bit of info for other readers and such yes both jacky and kaliya can be read standalone but you deff wanna check them both out you wont be dissapointed lol and also chronologically speaking jacky story comes first then kaliya story comes after now i dont know how things will go in the future with both series but that is how it is as of now 🙂 now on to the main part of the review kaliya sahni is tribunal executioner whos just got back home after being called for potential execution in a trial of an all to familar werecat 😛 thankfully the execution didnt happen so nods kaliya is the last nagini and shes many things in addition to being tribunal executioner shes also a bounty hunter so nods kaliya after coming back home from the tribunal heads to her favirote place and ends up picking up bounty that will lead to many interesting things for her and the supernatural world at large if you wanna know more grab the book and find out you wont regret it one bit overall i devoured my way through this book from start to finish and without any breaks i loved all the characters mainly kaliya she may hide behind rough skin but i can see beneath it and i have to say kristen banet you have done fantastic work with her and i look forward to seeing wherre her story goes and how it goes
Kaliya is such an intriguing and fierce character, but she does have a few vulnerable moments. Kaliya is one of 9 remaining nagini (snake shifter) and the only female nagini, which essentially makes her the leader of her race. She has been through a lot, but has made herself into the Tribunals Executioner, which has the added benefit of allowing her to search for her parents killer. She is asked to look into a contracted hit, and her life gets turned upside down. She has a connection she wasn’t expecting and really doesn’t want. This is a slow build story. Kaliya has really only had one mission in life and that is not related to romance. Rafael has been on the run for 5 years, and pretty much hates what he has seen of the supernatural world and anything connected with it. He has been changed after being held captive and experimented on. I felt for Rafael, although his anger towards all supernaturals irritated me a few times. I am excited to see how their relationship develops and find out what he is 🙂 Bounty is set in the same world as the Jacky Leon books, but you do not have to have read the Leon books to read Bounty. There are a couple vague nods to Jacky, but I don’t think they would stand out to someone who hasn’t read them. I do like that Hasan pops up, and shakes things up at the end. I can’t wait for a July to see what happens in next for Kaliya, Rafael, and their friends!
