Technology is its own kind of vulnerability. When a string of break-ins occurs among Securitech’s clients, rumors circulate that the company’s technology is flawed. Blake Reyes takes it personally. As head of the tech department, she will do anything to restore her spotless reputation, even tolerate working with an outsider. Hunter Greene is the most requested internal affairs agent in the … internal affairs agent in the Midwest. He loves catching criminals in the act and watching them squirm. If he can get a good laugh out of it, so much the better. His assigned partner at Securitech, Blake, is beautiful, brilliant…and not amused in the least.
Together, they stumble on a string of code that disappears before they can analyze it. The closer they get to uncovering the truth about the phantom code, the more peril they find themselves in. As Blake falls down the rabbit hole of lies and deceit within her own company, she must give in and trust Mr. Greene—or lose more than her career.

Our heroine is best at cyber security while our hero is more of a physical kind of guy. Together, they still have their hands full tracking down the bad guy.
This is book three in the series. The plot is self-contained, so there is no problem starting here.
This is a romantic suspense story with a hi-tech theme. The story is well written and easy to read, at least for the tech savvy amongst us. Casual readers won’t get all the tech talk, but that will not impact your enjoyment of the plot. The characters are well developed and have excellent chemistry even if it appears to be the opposites attract variety. This mystery is a good one with plenty of twists and turns. Overall, an excellent story. I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended.

Hunter Green is my newest book boyfriend, but there is no way I can compete with CEO of Securitech Inc, Blake. Blake is power driven, no nonsense to make it in a male dominated office. But the whole company and everyone’s safety is at risk when the security company is breached. In comes Hunter Green to be a nonbiased company look out. to see if Blake is at fault.,..or someone else?? Hunter also adds a little comic relief to the stuffy office and high suspense drama that builds quickly in this novel. When Hunter comes to Blake’s rescue, more than once, he wonders what the all business. Blake, is really about underneath her pencil skirt and heels.
With book 3 in the Securitech Series, author Kari Suey has done it again. And has done it well. Blake has had brief mentions in the other two novels, The Last Housekeeper & Her Deadly Defender, But this time it is all about her and her authority being questioned in a man’s world. THE BOSS, the big guy, has given her the stop stop and her male co-workers are ok with that, or so they say. But things get tricky and Blake’s abilities are questioned when several break-ins occur in the homes of her clients. And it all seems to be done via code, the same computer network that protects the homes also takes the safety net down,
A security expert is brought in and he, Hunter Green, sets up a temporary office that is not necessarily welcome. With hunter the story opens up to us as the “might be this guy” conversations and accusations start. All while we learn that Blake has a real human side and we see that Hunter though serious has his own personality to show off.
“The time that is spent looking for the source of the crimes is time that the Secrutech company and Blake are more and more exposed.
This full length Novel is definitely has a more “big city” feel than the other 2 novels, leading up to it, 4 if you count the the two short stories included in sets called, “The Crazy Girl Upstairs” and “Delayed Connection”. The Suspense in high with this one but the romantic aspect is not as high as in “Her Deadly Defender”. Get some Coco and settle in so you can enjoy it all at once.
Hunter’s carefree spirit felt a bit strong at first while at the same time I liked how he was shaking up the clean, smooth, ordered feel of Blake. Definitely a wonderful feeling when anticipating a romance between two characters when there is this gritty tension between them. I quickly warmed up to Hunter and I enjoyed seeing all of the supporting characters – there were plenty who played huge roles. The suspense really drew me in as did the tech mystery. I was in Hunter’s camp with it going over my head. Lol. Props to the author for the research this book must’ve taken! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and couldn’t bear to set down the book. I cannot wait for more of this series!
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
