Unexpected Arrivals by Stacy Eaton is the second book in The Unexpected Series and definitely worth reading if you love books with surprises.
The last thing Trevor expected when he got home was to find out he had a child and that the mother hadn’t told him and she had passed away giving birth to him. What was he going to do with a child?
Trevor was in over his head and didn’t know what he was supposed to do. He wasn’t given nine months to plan like other fathers were, but he knew that if Carol had been willing to risk her life to have their child, he was willing to do what it took to care for him. He only needed help and that help would be from Davina, Carol’s best friend and the woman who had been caring for his son since he was born several weeks ago. In their grief over Carol’s death and caring for Devon they soon find themselves falling in love.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading more book in the series!
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
OMG I just loved this! It’s got a bit of everything, adventure, surprises, angst, heartbreak , some steamy scenes and a whole lotta romance! It made me gasp, it made me laugh, it absolutely made me cry not just tears of sorrow but also tears of joy! This really is a most excellent series!
This was a wonderful romance! It was an emotional rollercoaster but so much fun too. There were some heartbreaking moments and some really steamy moments. Also some very tender moments. Trevor and Davina are great characters who are thrown into parenthood unexpectedly for very different reasons. When they have to come together to take care of Devon, they both realize things that they never really expected to learn about themselves. A very well written romance!
This was a sweet, fun loving book with a great storyline that could be so true. As usual, author Eaton pulls you into her stories right from the start. She gets to the storyline so that you want nothing more than to read the story. In this story, Trevor Vaughn was fastplaying, love them and leave playboy and enjoyed his life. Suddenly a woman, Davia Daniels, shows up with an infant boy who she states is Trevors. Apparently, he wasn’t too careful one weekend with Carol, and has a little boy. Just before she died giving birth, she asked Davia to track Trevor down and meet his son. And she did. Since he knew nothing about babies he asked Daviana to help him. Along the way, the sparks fly between the two of them and it turns into more than friendship. They had a few hurdles to overcome, maybe it can be more than just a friendship. This is the only good thing with the coronavirus…..we have to stay home and READ. This would be a great one to read now.
What happens when you love your life, your job, and your women and life decides to drop the ultimate bomb in your lap in the form of a baby? A great read to find out how the ultimate bachelor handles or doesn’t handle it!
This is the second book in the series and Trevor’s story. We met him a bit in the first book and good friends with Alex. Trevor doesn’t come off as dad material, but he’s going to earn that role pretty fast. This book does have a little bit of a sad tone. This book broke my heart, but put it back together. Trevor and Davina are brought together by tragedy, but a friendship is about to blossom. They navigate a future they never thought could be possible. There was a moment in this book that had me gasping and leaves you on the edge of your seat. You can tell how much Trevor cares about his son. That warmed my heart. Trevor is going to surprise you in the best way possible. It’s a great read!
This is the second book in The Unexpected Series and one that really caught my attention quickly from the start. Trevor works overs mainly overseas and because he does he doesn’t plan to have a family. But it looks like fate night have other ideas and they show up at his office on a rainy thunder filed day in the form of a tied but beautiful young lady named Davina carrying a baby. Only problem is he swears he has never seen her before in his life so how can this baby be his? This book was well written and had me laughing in parts but crying in others. It is the perfect addition to the first book in the series Unexpected Packages. I reviewed this as a way to thank the author for their gift of their words.
This is a good continuation to the story. I really liked Trevor and his friends. Davina was a little harder to like although she grew on me as the story progressed.
Devina and Trevor’s love story is like a lightning bolt; once they collided it was fast , powerful and left a mark behind ! Two single souls that wouldn’t have met unless Fate played a role in both their lives. A beautiful lonely heartbroken woman mourning her best friend and a hard working man with no time to spare on a relationship that gets an unexpected gift from life. They form an unlikely pair that will stop at nothing for a common goal; making baby Devon happy.
The unexpected is a fun series loaded with laughter, love, a little drama and tons of mixed emotions. It’s a quick read but deep in emotions. Stacy Eaton writes beautifully and we can see how she pours her heart out in all her books. I love how there is always a little action in every books ; it gives it just enough “on-edge” twist that makes us want to read it all at once.
From the beginning of the book to the end you can feel the emotion of the characters. Trevor is used to missions overseas but isn’t anywhere near ready for this mission he has to face now. Davina is exhausted from taking care of a newborn and grieving the loss of her best friend, Trevor isn’t used to caring for a baby and Lexi enjoys helping out with the baby.
Davina wants to hate Trevor but the more she gets to know him she knows that she can’t. It is a really good book that I think you will enjoy. I don’t want to tell you too much and spoil it for you.
