One newly-turned female vampire, four powerful males hiding dark secrets—alone each is lost, together their passion ignites and changes the vampire world forever.Selina’s story continues in Book 2 of the exciting and passionate Bound by Her Blood series.*Spoiler Alert* This is Book 2 in a series. If you haven’t read Book 1, BOUND BY HER BLOOD, be warned! The rest of this description contains … warned! The rest of this description contains spoilers related to Book 1.
I was alone and abused—both as a human, then a vampire—but I am strong, I am a fighter, I will survive.
Captured by the terrifying Pike and separated from Rock and Gray, will my growing power be enough to escape—or to resist the inexplicable yearning I feel for my captor? Meanwhile, the city is terrorized by a vampire serial killer, and overrun by wooden-stake-wielding cops, including the hunky Colton who won’t stop pursuing me—and I’m not sure I want him to, in spite of the danger.
And through all this, Xavier won’t stop hunting me, until I suffer a painful death.
Bound by Her Passion is Book 2 in a hot PNR RH vampire romance series. Expect a steamy, why choose (reverse harem) romance with each relationship developing at its own pace—some fast burn, others slow burn.
Note from Publisher: This book contains strong language and adult sexual situations.

I did enjoy this second book but it did seem slightly slower than the first and I didn’t think it progressed forward that much and we were going round in circles. I also thought the many intimate encounters here kind of started to take over the story a bit when really I just wanted to learn more about the important stuff.
I’m also not really taking to Colton either he just comes across as a bit of a wet blanket compared to the other males here and he seems to have a very limited personality he’s a bit of a sheep and yeh I get it I know dead sister and all but man use your brain Colton and man up if you want a piece of the girl. I don’t really get what Selena actually sees in him also Selena actually slipped up when they were together she said to him after I transitioned and Mr fantastic cop didn’t even pick up on this fact so I’m wondering if maybe that was a plot hole rather than actually intentional.
Pike is growing on me though I’m still very much pissed at him for not intervening sooner with Xavier. Yes, he tried to help her somewhat but it was definitely not enough and too little too late but he does know and accept this.
So one thing that’s bothering me here is that all of these boys seem to have a problem we have Rock with his intimacy issues and deep shame, Greyson trying to stay detached and keeping secrets refusing to allow Selena to feed from him or he her. Pike is wallowing in self-hatred and guilt for his lack of action and Colton is consumed with hatred for vampires and a strange mix of bigoted but also so innocent at times he seems childlike. I just want one of them to be semi-normal. I did like the finish here and I’m intrigued to see what’s coming next. I didn’t enjoy this nearly as much as the first but I’m just hoping the next book moves at a more rapid pace and we get some much-needed answers.

Holy moly. I needed this book in my life. Bound by her Passion pulled me in immediately and left me begging for the next book in the series. It was filled with delicious and steamy scenes. We are starting to get an understanding of what/who Selena is. My emotions have been pulled back and forth in regards to Selena’s men. I just want them to all be happy! Bound by her Destiny can’t come soon enough!

Thanks to Mara Leigh for the complimentary copy. I am choosing to leave a fair review.
If you are willing to deal with a slow slog of a plot in exchange for interesting characters and the dynamic between them, this is a great book.
One thing I noticed is that many of the love scenes do nothing to move the story along, which made me, as a reader, feel like the story came to a screeching halt. There also seems to be no over arching plot to keep the story moving. By the time we get to the heroine chasing after her vampiric maker, we are 3/4s of the way through. We have a lot of scenes about how everyone feels but no real skeleton of a story to flesh out with the scenes.
I truly love the characters, no matter how shy or shameful they may feel about themselves. I appreciated that the vampires were mostly from the 20th century, so we didn’t have to deal with the “when we were young” moments. In fact, hearing a vampire say something is “trippy” is worth the read in itself. One of her men – Colton – sounds suspiciously like a Victorian bride to be. Another character has the PTSD of a trafficked woman. Ms. Leigh does an excellent job of flipping the gender tropes and roles.
The world building in this series is excellent, and is used to highlight the bigotry on both sides – the living and the undead via one of Selina’s men (Colton the cop) and her maker.
We are still left with the mystery of why Selina is so different and we are left on a major cliff-hanger. I can’t wait for the next one.
