A wonderful escape from isolation during a pandemic. I so wanted to join these women in the south of France.
The book takes place in Belle Vue Retreat that is in Southern Frances. Three charming women are invited by the hostess Amy to stay at her Villa for a week. This stay changed their life and made new wonderful friendships. I really loved all the descriptions of the Villa and gardens along with the beautiful descriptions of their travels to Cannes and Antifes. A lovely read and would recommend this author.
Best book of the summer, romance, travel, friendship. Loved it
The second I read the first page, I knew I would love this book. Amy is a former ballerina who inherits the gorgeous Belle Vue villa Set in the stunning Cote d’Azur, which she runs as a retreat for writers and artists. Keen to pass on her good fortune, she advertises a competition for free trip to the villa and finds three lucky winners: Matilda, Chelsea and Vicky. Like Amy, the three women have troubles of their own but the serenity of the villa and the growing friendships between helps them to make some important life decisions. Beautifully drawn scenery, relatable characters and an intriguing storyline – highly recommend it
Fun Summer read
This is a nice book about vacation getaways and how 4 strangers meet and become friends. I like reading about getaways in France and if you do too you will like this book.

A wonderful read, especially during this epidemic because it takes your mind and soul elsewhere and makes you smile.
Excellent book. Fun to read – especially now. Very good character dev’t. Will use it for one of our Zoom Bookclub meetings.
I received an early review copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. All thoughts expressed are my own and freely given.
I was hooked right away from the first few pages. It was really well written and the descriptive text made you want to jump on a plane and see the sights for yourself.
It’s a heartwarming story about the value of friendship . Amy is the owner of a retreat who decides to run a competition giving away a weeks holiday to three people, who just have to answer a question on her favourite book .
The three women who win are really different , but over the weeks holiday the four women become close and make friendships that will last. There are a few twists and turns along the way and they all end up with a happy ending of their own. I really enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down once I’d started it. I thoroughly recommend it.
