Wowowowow I’m loving these!! So well written and ah-mazing characters!!! And those covers are so different and eye catching! Amazing job!
The story continues, part 2 smoothly transitions into part 3.
Blake struggles against his feelings, convinced that Elena has claimed him through a spell. After all, he the Rubicon cannot be tamed!
Elena doesn’t know how to make it clear to him that she didn’t use a spell, that she fought him fair in the ring and that he would yield for her.
When Blake even has to use black magic to get out of her influence, the end seems to be lost.
But then Blake undergoes a journey where he experiences Elena’s birth and follows her for 16 years until the day she arrives in Paegeia. Only then does Blake realize that the Dent isn’t a spell but a love for the one who is destined to be with him. But how can he show that to her and others, especially after she disappears? And when he finds her, can he heal what’s broken?
A beautiful fantasy story for adults. I just have to read the lock in Part 4

This is the 3rd book in the series and it is wonderful. It is a great continuation of the series. It is well written with a wonderful storyline for the book and the big one for the series. The characters continue to be well developed and great throughout. The world building is excellent. You feel part of the story from the start all through till the end. You are invested in it and can’t wait for more for the characters.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Adrienne Woods; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I really liked this book and the world that this author has created! I did find it a bit daunting as I already read some of the dialogue from precious books but through it all it was a great read! I like the first person perspective and am looking forward to the next installment! It is a unique book and a world that can be realistic while being visually stunning.

Blake is confused, he now fights the dent, and might be willing to turn dark to avoid it. Will he regret this behaviour, for those he will hurt from his actions? I still loved tormented singer Blake, although he sometimes needs a good kick in the pants, and I loved Elena who has more to her than I saw. I loved the angst, challenges and the page turning story in this book. I look forward to the next book, and what happens next.

A claim, amnesia, and more details about the dent and Etan. A lot happens in this book that moves the story far along, especially compared to the previous books. I love the spirals and the builds. While you can feel the tramas, it is not deep enough if you have dealt with similar, so it is still easy enough to read. Best book in the series so far!
ONE ENGAGING THRILL RIDE
Holy hellhounds! Adrienne hit the motherload, breaking out the big guns, heavy artillery and ammo aplenty, delivering up this heart pounding pulse racing adrenaline pumping block busting dynamo, holding steady from start to finish, blasting this baby to life spectacularly. Traversing a vicious nightmare chocked full of riveting drama, gripping intrigue, underlying currents, brutal tactics, escalating danger, spiraling suspense and nailbiting situations, putting our characters through their paces, testing them in ways they could have never imagined, melding this bad boy together flawlessly. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into amazing personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that’s so rich and lively it feels as though you’re part of the story instead of on the sidelines, feeling everything the characters feel. Fantastic job Adrienne, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us.
Finally! No, it’s not a spell. The book really shows Blake’s turmoil at what he put Elena through, and then not being able to find her. When he finally does find her, helping her through her devastating experience and gaining her trust, which is still a long road ahead did him. If you have read the Dragonian series, bits of this book are redundant, but personally I think that is ok. When you love a story, you will read it multiple times anyways lol I am looking forward to continuing Blake’s POV!

I absolutely loved the story from Elena’s POV but had always wanted to see the dent process from Blake’s side. I had to wait until this book but it was totally worth it. To see all of the things he went through when they are seperated.
Worth it.

*Spoilers*
First off I want to thank Adrienne Woods for providing me with a free sample of Darkbeam III. I don’t know what to write. Again, I’m left frustrated at how obtuse and frustrating it can be to read about Blake and his side of the story. Now, instead of the inner dialogue of depression, he has done what seems to be a 180. Not that I don’t like this Blake better, but he is still not up to par compared to the Blake he was when he thought Elena would solve his problem by killing him. At least then he and Elena were just two people getting to know each based on the now and here. The back and forth from accepting the “dent” as true love manifesting in the physical world and it being a brain washing spell didn’t seem like something too big – it wasn’t a revelation, it didn’t seem like Blake found any peace with the knowledge and I still want to slap him. It’s frustrating to read about him thinking that he knows best and not bothering to ask others, such as Elena, about what is really going on or how he can help. He just goes and stews in his own impotency and inability to do anything when he hasn’t even tried. He could have tried explaining, he could have tried telling her that he would be there, he could have tried opening his mouth or doing something instead of saying that his actions would tell her more than his words. But then, what did he do? What did he show her? Nothing. At. All. He hid himself away from her, justifying his lurking around as “Elena doesn’t want to see me, she doesn’t want to listen to me, I know best, I know her”. But does he, did he? However, I must say that Elena could also have confronted him instead of avoiding him. She could have asked him and yet she didn’t, and I think it is understandable how she is acting. I don’t know anymore. I don’t know what to write.
Was it an ok read, yes. Did I enjoy reading it, most of the time. Would I read the next book, quite possibly, as a want to know that Blake will outgrow this person that he has become. Would I reread this book, maybe.
