The Journey (She Knows Her God) from Joy Ohagwu
Is a very exciting well written book based on Christian principles. It’s a very compelling story and I had a hard time putting the book down. I just wanted to know the outcome and who was behind it. A very good book to read if she likes excitement and adventure.
She Knows Her God is the perfect title for this book. This storyline is not one written to entertain, but written to open the mind to the evils of the world. It’s a book that is hard to put down. It’s a book that captures you and won’t let you go. You want answers, you need answers, so you keep turning the pages.
Asia Powers finds herself thrown into a situation that involves human trafficking, young girls, kidnapping, torture and so much more. It’s a book that takes the reader inside the minds of the characters and a book that makes you believe. It’s a book where faith is paramount but not everyone is a believer…. well, in the beginning they aren’t but their journey is one that leads to God, His love and how He works in today’s world.
I read the prequel, The Journey, & have been waiting for this next part of the story. (To appreciate this new series you need to read that prequel) There are many dangerous men & situations in this story that centers mainly around Asia & Julia. It is very suspenseful & hard for me to stop & doing anything but read because I wanted to find out where the story is going. It was a little confusing to me because it jumps back & forth between these 2 women. Ms. Ohagwu is an excellent writer but you do need to be aware that this story ends in a cliffhanger. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary opinion.
What a ride. This book had two story lines that intersected. Julie a young girl kidnapped because she went to the police station and reported a scene she witnessed to her Uncle. Asia went to Mexico to find 2 missing girls. She ends up discovering a human trafficking ring and gets kidnapped. This book deals with a very hard subject, but to watch Julie and Asia find God and know he’s their help in troubles, was awesome. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
This is a beginning of a story about a horrible problem in our country and world. The trafficking of young women for sex. I enjoyed reading this story and the way that Joy Ohagwu weaves the miraculous working of God into people’s lives who step out in faith. The book was full of action and plot twists and kept the pages turning for me. This book is not a stand a lone. If you don’t like cliff hangers, then wait until future books are released. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but have freely chosen to offer my own opinion.
