Wednesday Walks & Wags (The Sunday Potluck Club #2) was a good read by Melissa Storm. Bridget Moore has moved into a new Anchorage apartment building. She has a tight schedule of college, working as a vet tech, volunteering at an animal shelter, and caring for her beloved dogs. She hopes to stay busy so that the pain of losing her mother months ago won’t register. Wesley, Bridget’s new neighbor, also seems to be running from something. His two energetic dogs jog by twice a day. The other members of the Sunday Potluck Club encourage Bridget to enjoy the company of Wesley. I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
Cute book! Enjoyable, light reading.
“Wednesday Walks and Wags” is the 2nd book in the Sunday Potluck Club Series by Melissa Storm. I read the first book and to get the back story on the characters, it is definitely helpful to read that first. Though it could be read as stand alone too.
Any book with dogs instantly attracts me. One with many dogs, well that is even better.
This romantic page-turner had me enraptured in Bridget’s life from page one.
With the recent emotional turmoil, Bridget has had a tough go and is trying to get on the right track. Runs with complicated neighbor Wesley fits into that puzzle nicely until the mysterious nature of some actions leaves her questioning her relationship with him.
This novel truly shows us the powerful dynamics that these four women have and how they work through everything handed down to Bridget is truly endearing.
I certainly hope that there are more books coming in this series.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley in exchange for fair and honest review.
Another delightful visit with the women of the Sunday Potluck Club. I love that this group of women continue to support each other after all of their parent’s deaths. This is more romance than the previous book with Hazel’s wedding coming up and Amy & Bridget having possible beaus. The animals are always adorable and great characters in their own rights. A really good look at how grief is dealt with differently by everybody and you have to go at your own pace. I love journeying through mainly Bridget’s life so far. Looking forward to seeing more of the other women’s journeys in future books.
I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher and voluntarily chose to review it.
Get a box of tissues before you start Wednesday Walks and Wags by Melissa Storm because you’re going to need them! This book is number two in The Sunday Potluck Club Series and brings out all the feels. I was reading through my tears. I already have vision problems and that was a challenge. A challenge that was worth taking.
This book follows Bridget. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it because Bridget was the friend with all the dogs who was a complete mess all the way around. Melissa proved me wrong. This book was so heartwarming and we get to go on the rollercoaster ride through her recovery process.
I have to admit, I fell in love with Bridget and her friends all over again. This book was so good y’all! There is a book three coming in the not too distant future. So, run out and get this one and read it so you’re ready for Manic Monday, INC. If you haven’t read the first two yet, HURRY UP! You don’t know what your missing.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley for a fair and honest review.
This is a well written book that is full of emotions. It’s a story about friendship, dealing with grief and trying to get your life back together. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! Thank you Kensington Books via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Bridget is all about staying busy. She has a new apartment that allows pets. With her three dogs, this place has trails and paths to explore. She also has a new neighbor that is hot, hot, hot. Even better, he has two dogs. Wesley is a loner. He runs with his dogs every day and stays to himself. With all the ways Bridget chooses to stay busy, the only time she feels peaceful and quiet is when she is running with Wesley. There are storm clouds on the horizon and when the dust settles, Wesley is gone. How do you open your heart when it keeps getting battered. The Potluck Club has decided to intervene. Family and friends only want the best for Bridget. In the end, Wesley is perfect for Bridget. He helps her deal with a box of her mother’s things.
Can two broken souls, grieving for their past help each other find happiness, love and joy to life again? A heartwarming story about second chances, friendship, family and love. Bridget and Wesley will fill your heart with their interactions and how they fight their own demons together. Great book.
Wednesday, Wags and Walks by Melissa Storm a five-star read that will have your tail a wagging. This is number two in the Sunday Potluck Club series and I enjoyed this one much better that the first, it just seemed more detailed and had more plot. Bridget is running from her grief and as anyone who has lost someone close to them its easy to empathise and understand where she is coming from, it was a nice add with the dogs as it helped deal with the grief and added a levity even with the shelter aspect. This is a good story and Wesley added something to the story, he added an extra twist to the story.
This is book two in the Sunday Potluck Club series. This story is about Bridget. She recently moved into a new pet friendly apartment, and while unpacking her things, sees the box of her mothers things. Still grieving the loss of her beloved mother, she hides the box until she is ready to go through its contents. She hopes that her busy schedule and pets will help he to take her mind off her grief. Then Bridget sees a new neighbor with his two dogs preparing to run. When she sees him again at the vet clinic she works at, he invites to to go on his evening runs with him. She decides to take him up on his offer and joins him. She soon realizes that he too is running from something. The two decide become strictly running partners and nothing more. But soon its obvious that will not happen.
I absolutely love this series, and the stories of Hazel (which is included in a book called Home Sweet Home, with stories by Ferm Michaels and Donna Kauffman as well), and Amy’s story in the first book in this series, The Sunday Potluck Club. I was so excited to receive an early copy of this book and hear Bridget’s story. This was a sweet, heartwarming, and wonderful book. The characters are wonderful, and you feel like they are your friends as well. This book had be laughing and crying. And I feel that I can relate to this story. I lost my own mother, though not to cancer, and everything that Bridget seems to think and feel, I did as well. I loved this book. I 100% recommend this series, bit it will pull at the heartstrings. Another amazing story by Melissa Storm. Can not wait for Nicole’s story.
