Zombies. Freaking zombies. Terra knew an apocacalypse would hit her one day. Throw in the nightmare of the walking dead and she’s ready to run for the hills. But that wouldn’t be professional. Not when the haunting zombies are the work of a powerful mage who has escaped to Earthside and taken an abandoned mall hostage. With no choice but to work alongside the US military, Terra and the gang have … military, Terra and the gang have to hide their gifts and act like the humans. Grady is tactical. He can lead them in. But the closer they get, the more dangerous it becomes trying to keep their secret. So dangerous, it might get them all killed.
Or eaten.

Death Be Rising by Katie Epstein is an amazing story that I have had the privilege of reading. This is book number seven in this amazing story that I have loved reading from the begining of this series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

This is one of my favorite series. They’re entertaining and quick reads. This one had a killer cliff hanger and I’m anxiously waiting for the next installment.
Fast-Paced Zombie and Psychic Adventure
I’ve only just been introduced to this series in the novels available in the book 1 through 6 box set; I was so glad that book 7 was available as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the box set, so I was looking forward to this one. Often, in these types of paranormal books, there are several types of characters I don’t enjoy (like vampires), and I have to admit that zombies are one of them. But I already loved the heroine and her team so much that I didn’t mind that zombies seemed to take center stage in this particular installment. I like how in this book, even though we are well into the series, the author still shows character and relationship arcs. Often, that gets lost in a long-running series. The heroine is still coming to grips with the extent of her psychic powers and all that that means. Her relationship continues to evolve with Kaleb. I love how her team is so supportive of her, not just in the fast action, but also as she has more personal struggles. Another excellent installment.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
At the beginning I wasn't sure if I like reality created in the book. But, it is definitely good and I like it. World full of paranormal creatures. Full of comp!ex politics and connections. Strong characters who are entangled in all of it. Terra wants to do her job but often is limited by politics. She is strong and fearless. She is center of all action.and she never gives up. Great read.

Zombies, necromancer and a physic make for a very intriguing and interesting read. This is a fantastic addition to Tera’s adventures. This has plot filled with action and has a great fast pace. I really enjoyed this read.
I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
Terra is back with a bang (or is that a squelch ?) because this time she’s facing Zombies ! I knew that one of the criminals she’s chasing was capable of necromancy but this book went in a whole Romero direction that I hadn’t expected. An abandoned mall is surrounded by the army all itching to get in but who should get jurisdiction ? You’ve guessed it Terra and her fellow members of the Interside Enforcement Team are somehow suddenly in charge but how do they not reveal their paranormal status to the humans whilst still finding a way to stop an army of the undead ?
Terra is an absolute delight to read about because she’s sassy and brave but she’s also incredibly human. A heroine who truly knows the value of those around her and it’s been a joy to read her journey not just romantically but also the relationships and friendships that are such an integral part of her team. There’s the gorgeous, playful Kaleb of course but it would be remiss of me not to mention the other supporting characters because they really do bring this episode to its heart racing conclusion. Ok we have Mayra the Witch who you underestimate at your peril because she may appear fragile but she’s anything but mediocre. Libby the lust Demon who is feisty and yet I cannot help but want more of her story. Bernard the ancient Vampire who has a history with Terra that still rankles Kaleb. Zax a Dragon Shifter whose strangely more comfortable in human skin although I can happily say he gets to shine in this story but my lips are sealed ! Plus of course the newest recruit Grady who might be human but he sure does know his way around a gun and of course his ghostly ever so naughty partner Karl . Add in a few military personnel given the cool moniker of the bodyguard six and you probably begin to realise that this is urban fantasy that is a fast paced delight to read. This is truly a fabulous series and the author deserves to take a bow because she deserves it.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Terra Vane and friends again fight to save the world. I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
They took down another convict and then they returned to earthside and found another convict, the mage. He recruited many people and made them zombies and they defeated them and took the mage. Terra and Kaleb finally were mated which also helped them in the fight.
Terra Vane’s story continues as her life gets even more complicated and the world she lives in is danger and she has to try and save it without the full support of her partner.
This series just keeps getting better! The characters continue to grow and adapt, which I love. The story is continuously moving forward and I never felt I was reading the same book over and over.
