Mercy is nonexistent. All he knows is torture. First they bombed and blasted all our cities. Then they enslaved us. Put us into camps. Had their way with us. To defy them was to die. Now I have a new master. Pain is his profession. That’s why the Kraaj send him to our planet. They call him Black Hand. But its his heart that’s truly dark. But you know what? When I look into those cold, merciless … truly dark.
But you know what?
When I look into those cold, merciless eyes.
You know what I see?
When his hands touch me.
Because he owns my flesh and spirit.
You know what I feel?
It’s hard to explain to someone whose not from here.
I mean, I know he’s a murderer.
A killer with blood on his hands.
But when he touches me and looks at me.
There’s only one thing I feel.
Safe.
Alien Torturer’s Pet explores a grittier side of the Athenaverse. It sits in the Conquered Mates series and is a dark romance set on a human planet that has fallen to a hostile alien race. It can be read as a standalone, but it still shares the same universe that you’ve found in other books. This book features a dark romance of an alpha male alien warrior, and a human woman. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and HEA guaranteed.

Good storyline, great characters. Another perspective on the war between the IHC and Coalition, but still interlaces with characters from previous stories.

This is the fourth book in the Conquered Mates series. We meet Valkor, the Black Hand and Alana, the human chosen for him. It’s a fast-paced, action-packed, drama filled with lots of danger, suspense, enemies, survival, humor, secrets, surprises and intrigue. I just can’t wait to read more of this series.

Together they found great danger but also love!

When the Kraaj occupied the human colony planet of Luvon, life for the humans became much harder and food supplies were scarce. Elana found work in the kitchen of the Ruling Administrator only instead of the kitchen she was forced to become the companion of a visiting Kraaj Dignitary name Vakutan. Scared at first she soon came to find the man unusally withdrawn but kind in away and fear gave way to attraction until he found her in a security area and called her spy. This was a story that kept me interested throughout the book. The descriptions of the planet and the Kraaj were both vivid and arresting. Together they faced great danger but also a love most profound for a man most called the “Black Hand”

Valkor is a really good interrogator and is sent to Luvon to get info from a Coalition general. Valkor is known as the Black hand, scary dude. Alana just started work as a cook when she is chosen as a companion to Valkor on her first day. Both of them can not understand how their kind can like each other. Then they meet….. This book was full of action romance. I loved it. Characters were amazing.

Valkor It was basically an interrogator/torture for getting information. He is sent to the planets in order to infiltrate and get information from a general about specifics on a horrific event. While he was there the magistrate who is basically in charge of the planets let some pig from several women to be a companion/assistant. He falls in love with Alana. Or at least her locks with her red fire hair and her sparkly green eyes. From there he is very secretive. There was a specific event where Alina had to go and find him and came upon him doing his business of torturing the general. One thing leads to another and things start to click with a touch and him feeling that he has to save her because she ran away because she was scared. There’s always underground undercurrent stories along with this series. No cliffhanger

The war between the Coalition and the Alliance still rages on. Valkor, the Black Hand, the alien torturer is sent to get information from a prisoner. Alana, is a cook but is assigned to him. There is romance, intrigue, and plenty of action looking for Alana’s brother, who she knows is alive somewhere. Valkor helps her find him, there is some what of a happy ending and to be continued in another story.
Loved this book! I had a fun time reading this book. The characters we interesting and entertaining. Well written and developed. Though it’s just 1 book in the middle of the series I feel that it could be picked up and read as a stand alone. Recommended as a dark romance.

I love Athena Storm Conquered Mates series (and highly recommend them to anyone). Alien Torturer’s Pet (Conquered Mates Book 4) is set in the same universe but offers a really dark image. Set on a human planet that has fallen to a hostile alien race, this dark sci-fi romance is not pretty. Our hero here is Valkor, the Black Hand – a nickname that’s not pretty as this is the guy who interrogates prisoners and doesn’t care about how he gets results. That our poor cook of a heroine, Alana, is justifiably “unhappy” at being selected to be his mate. Yet somehow romance (and definitely chemistry) develops between our stars, and it’s done in a superb way. Definitely recommended.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Valkor takes care of problems for the council. He goes to the planet that the humans and Kraaj are on and he meets Magistrate Kavan and his wife. Kavan assigns Valkor someone to help him and it turns out to be Alana. She had just started working in the kitchens when she’s dragged off to a line-up to be chosen as a companion. From that moment on the book has captured my attention and held it. This is the 4th book in the series and to be totally honest it my first. I wanted to read the others first but once I started this book I couldn’t put it down. Now I’m going back to read the others.

Valkor is sent on a mission for a councilman. He is a very bad man. Alana gets a job in the kitchen. They gather women to have one be with Valkor to be is personal servant. He doesn’t want it but excepts. He chooses Alana. She tries to do her job but Valkor just does what he does. He tortures until he gets information. Although he has other motives for being on Luvon. He finally gets to know Alana and decides to do something for her. Alana knows there is more to Valkor than he shows. A bond develops between them. They are going to try and pull off something impossible. The bond grows between them. Things start to go very wrong but it’s Alana to the rescue. Tear jerker towards the end. Find out how it all ends. Loved it!
Another awesome story. The depth of the characters in this story – Valkor known as the Black Hand who interrogates prisoners and Alana our cook who was chosen as a companion by Valkor on her first day of work was a enjoyable story to read and review. Valkor was sent to Luvon to interrogate a Coalition general and to gather information on Kavan by Kraaj Council. Valkor doesn’t understand the attraction of having a human mate since he considers humans weak, but when he sees Alana as a possible companion he feels a attraction to her and chooses her. Alana also doesn’t understand how a human women could mate with a Kraaj. When circumstances bring them closer and Valkor discovers that Alana’s brother might be a prisoner deep inside Coalition space, will their mission to get her brother be successful? This is another romantic, action packed, story that was well written that introduce more characters to fall in love with. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The book is about a war between Alliance and Coalition. They have battle over the human planet. But there is a planet were the humans and alien is working together to make a place so they can life. Valkor is the guy that takes cares of the problems for the council. When he went to a planet that humans and Kraaj on it he meets Magistrate Kavan and his wife. Kavan gave Valkor a person to help him and her man was Alana. Now would be the time to get the book. I will be getting more from this author. Thank You for writing the books so we can read them.
Alana has just started working in the Magistrate’s kitchen when she’s dragged off to line-up to be chosen as a companion. Volkar is diverted from his current mission to get answers from the Shorcu General. It’s a messy business.
Contrary to her expectations, Volkar is not looking for a bedmate and doesn’t think he needs an aide. Or so he thinks.
This is a gritty, dark tale that further exposes the underbelly of the war.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.Alana works in the kitchens at the magistrate residences after her brother didn’t come back after the war .when kraaj soldiers take her to valkor (the black hand) a kraaj council representative there to interrogate a commander of the coalition . Awesome story love this story.
Full of hatred for the Coalition all Valkor had done was to see it destroyed. Known as the Black Hand and with a penchant for violence, he was haunted by ghosts but when the human woman ensnared him, lust and desire surrounded him. The devastating war continued, and Alana still had hope to find Jonah but what one woman could do? Valkors darkness and the intensity of the scary scenes gave me the chills. He felt not worthy but even in his darkness the human woman was his salvation. Action, suspense, fear, violence, heated passion and alliances. A plot development that had me intrigued with the strong characters and their dire situations. I enjoy these complex stories with intense and exciting scenes.
Nothing But The Truth
Another great book added to the collection. Really enjoy that these books are being written from all the different perspectives. It will keep the series fresh.
Valkor is a man alone even when surrounded by others of his kind. Can picture living your life never being able to trust another soul?
The book contained enough intrigue and interesting characters to please this reader and bringing back some old friends to catch up on.
