Great sequel to Demon Bound. There is a ton more character development in this book, especially with Luc. The best word that comes to mind to describe this book is “exciting”. The plot, character interactions, and sexy scenes are all exciting. The ending is very exciting with a bit of a cliffhanger edge to it. Another word I might use to describe the book is edgy. Can’t wait until the next book!!
After escaping Hell, Axelle is hiding from Luc. She’s on the run with Dashel, an Angel and former Heaven’s Guardian, and Evan, a Reaper. She’s in love with both of these men who are determined to keep her safe and hide her from the Devil.
Meanwhile, Luc is eager to find Axelle before her body enters the next phase of the transformation he began for her to be powerful enough to conceive his heir. Luc also has to deal with the return of his father and and ex-lover.
Eve Newton further develops these characters so the twists and turns of her storyline resonates and is impactful. Each character grows in different and unexpected ways.
This book does end on a life hanger which makes the anticipation for book 3 intense. This book definitely should be read after book 1 Demon Bound. I’m voluntarily reviewing this book.
Demon Freed starts right off where Demon Bound left us, with Axelle trying to find a way to escape her host body. Finding host bodies that don’t fight against you proves to be an interesting endeavor, especially while trying to hide from the devil.
As always, Eve does a phenomenal job on the development of her characters throughout the book. We learn more about Dashel, Evan, and especially Luc, as we see how they truly feel about Axelle and her part in Luc’s grand plan through the different points of view the author gives. We meet and get to know a bit more about some of the side characters as well, and I feel a few will become a bit more important as the story continues.
I think one of the things that I enjoyed the most in this book was seeing a different side to Dashel. I can’t wait to see how he changes come the third book!
Book 2 was awesome. Nice and easy read that pulled you in. It was fun and interesting. Look forward to more books in the series.
Amazing addition to the series. It is exciting, thrilling, and very entertaining. Well written and developed it was easy to read. I liked the amount of development in certain characters. I am very excited for book 3. I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.
An entertaining, funny and steamy series. Every book so far has been a delight to read and Seductress Demon Axelle’s (FMC) antics and one liners in this series has had me stitches. I especially love the banter between her and Luc. Just great. The sexy times with all the characters on and off was so hot too! A voyeur Angel (Dashiel)? Blimey I didnt see that one coming. Bring on book 3 im eager to see what happens next
Demon Freed
Axelle is a woman on a mission, on a mission not to get caught, to enjoy her new body and have some down time with the men in her life….really, is that too much to ask for?
I guess when you’re running from “Luc” it really is.
When you think of the phrase “All hell is breaking loose, you really don’t ponder the deeper meaning behind those words…at least Axelle never did. It seemed an impossible feat, to escape hell and stay hidden on earth. But not only has Axelle accomplished escaping, but she has the help of a couple of sexy men who have their own reasons for being her ‘wing men’.
But just as Axelle believes she may stay hidden, she realizes something that has her stopping her head long rush to stay hidden from Luc, not only is she attracted to Luc, she might actually love him….plus now she is feeling emotions she never dreamed she would be feeling, and it isn’t a convenient realization at all!
Join Axelle in her journey to self discovery and love as she realizes that some dreams are worth greater sacrifices than others!
***** Eve Newton is truly a fantastic storyteller ******
Demon Freed picks up with Axelle on Earth and the Devil hot on her trail. With her new body she is able to get exactly what she wants from the Reaper with her Angel by her side. But Heaven has a new guardian and she is being chased from both sides.
It was fun and sexy to see how this story evolves while on Earth and set us up for the final chapter in Hell. Demon Returned.
Another homerun hit!!! I lived this book, it’s complex characters, the amazing story, the world building just everything leaves you wanting so much more!! I started and couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to see what she has planned next!!
This is the second book in the Demon Series and while Demon Bound was more a medium burn and setting up the characters and the storyline……this one is a faster burn, running with the storyline and watching the characters try to thwart the Devil’s ultimate plan – problem is…..na I’m not giving anything away. You have to read the book to find out what exactly the Devil can do with his forked tongue (among other remarkable body parts!). Intrigued? Well you do have a Demon, a Reaper, an Angel and The Devil all in close quarters and the sexual energy is intense, hotter than the fires of Hell themselves .
I absolutely loved this book, and I’ve tried to write why I love this book but each time ends up with a hint of what’s happened -so I’m just gonna say I effing loved it and leave it at that.
