Naya was a good girl. She never argued or fussed, even when an archaic society demanded she choose a husband and marry. She had done everything right… Hadn’t she?So how did she end up here, in the hell they called Sector 2?Stolen from her home in the dead of night and thrown at the feet of a man that people only dared speak of in whispers, everything has gone horribly wrong in the blink of an … eye.Treachery brought them together, but fate would see them bound. There was no escaping this crumbling kingdom once the mad monster set his mind, and his heart, on her.*This story is an epic fairy tale romance, where the beast finds his beauty in the most unlikely of places. It is set in a dystopian world where violence and sexual situations are a part of daily life. It features extreme themes unsuitable for some readers. Proceed with caution. No cliffhanger, and happily-ever-after guaranteed.

From the very start, Sasha draws you in and you never want to let her go. Sasha is an Omega child/older teenager on the cusp of becoming a young woman. Though it is hard to tell exactly how old she is at the start of the book, it is clear that she is a young woman who is constantly referred to as a child, yet has taken on the responsibility of running her household. Her Alpha stepfather and dying Omega mother have turned her home into a brothel and Sasha is constantly harassed by her stepfather with threats of ruining her life. As an Omega her salvation will be the Selection, where she will choose her Alpha to mate and be with for the rest of her life. That is unless her evil stepfather does not ruin all her chances and finds an illegal way to keep her for himself. Sasha knows her only way to survive is to find help from the outside and seek the enemy of her enemy. She learns that Constantine Kane is the one Alpha which makes all the dirty crooked Alphas tremble. She must find Kane and enlist his assistance and possibly even lure him with the hopes that he may want to enter into a marriage contract and oversee her inheritance from her father, which includes a decent home and gin business that was once flourishing. But once she meets Kane, all of her defiance melts away and her instincts to please and submit before Kane kicks in. She cannot resist the pull and power of a true Alpha. Will her efforts pay off or will it all be in vain? Will Kane be the salvation she seeks or will he be another savage Alpha set on destroying? Sasha and Kane were a marvelous pair to follow along in their seemingly innocent but passionately heated courting. I did not put this book down at all and sacrificed sleep for this delicious Alpha/Omega pairing! Isoellen
SPOILER ALERTS–This story was truly an entertaining read. I very much enjoyed the world that Isoellen developed in Choosing Her Alpha. It’s a world beyond humanity; a world that has seen the rise of other types of humanoids: Alphas, Betas and Omegas. That world is a dystopian world, so there are both good and evil characters among the 3 types. Having read a few Omegaverse books with different viewpoints, it was refreshing to see a society where most Alphas are inherently honorable and good. Although the Alpha-run society in this book is ruled by a small group of elites at the top, and their regulations do, perforce, work to restrict some of the freedoms of their citizens, their rule does seek to work for the overall betterment of their society. This is the society that produced Kane, the main male character, who, as the son of the King, rules an entire Sector of the known world. Sasha is the Omega mate for whom he has been waiting for some-150 years. Sasha is beautiful, talented, intelligent, and generous. She is very young, a pre-nubile Omega, and is brimming with potential. She is clever but is, on many levels, naive. She knows her mother is dying. She also knows when that event occurs, her fate will be left in the hands of a corrupt and degenerate Alpha: her mother’s 2nd husband, Merrick. She is determined she will not suffer that fate. She carries out a scheme to leave the Sector and travel incognito to the neighboring Sector where Kane rules. She plans to throw herself on his mercy and plead for his help in ousting Merrick from her mother’s holdings. She plans, but plans go awry. I felt the story was intriguing. It revealed twists and turns along the way that held my attention. The plotline was very convincing, and I found the narrative to be engrossing. Both main characters drew me into their struggles. Kane knows he must wait for her to mature. I think, at times, he feels like a frustrated babysitter, even though he has already fallen in love with her! Sasha does not trust him from the start. As ineffective and powerless as she is, nevertheless she tries to plot against him, to escape from him. She fails every time. The plot finally does make way for love between them, but it is not until near the end of the story. Their love scenes, however, are explosive. If you’ve read Omegaverse stories before, you know that sex between Alphas and Omegas is not for the faint of heart, involving bruisingly-rough handling, actual biting, and very prolonged climaxes (not to mention the unusual nature of A&O physiology)! The author did not disappoint in providing very arousing and sigh-inducing sex scenes between Kane and Sasha. I truly enjoyed the story, but wished it could have been a little longer, or maybe I’m wishing for a sequel. I believe you will enjoy it too! 5 Stars!
