In this Christmas short story, best selling paranormal author Trinity Blacio gives us a look into a very different take on the classic toy workshop!Turtle Kreps restored old toys, selling them on the Internet. She hid her scared face most of the time because people were crueler than she would like to admit. But she wasn’t expecting her silly little Christmas wish to come true. What the hell would … would she do with four alpha soldiers?

Turtle is hopeful she will gain a son this Christmas. But there may be a small wrench in that plan. Will a small Christmas wish save the day?
I Would Love a Few Toy Soldiers is a quick holiday read by Trinity Blacio. I enjoyed meeting Turtle. She has hidden from the world until she meets a child that needs her. I loved seeing just how big Turtle’s heart is even as she stands to lose her heart’s desire. I loved that Ms. Blacio did not allow all Turtle’s hopes to be dashed. She gave Turtle more than she expected. I enjoyed seeing Turtle fight the way Dirk, Arend, Baston and Joren made her feel. They were completely unexpected. I loved seeing them give Turtle something she didn’t quite realize was missing. I thoroughly enjoyed how quickly the brothers made their claim of both Turtle and Bret.
This is an enjoyable quick read that I hope Ms. Blacio will build upon in the future.
Five Shooting Stars
This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it.. this was a short enjoyable story.
The main character has a scar on the side of her face and stays in her home to not hear comments or have people stare at her.. she just wants to be loved … she adopts a boy who has cancer and who has been abused. She wants to show him how someone should be loved from a mother.. she has been more of a mother then his own.. the boys only family is 4 uncle’s who come to meet him and to find out more about the lady who has adopted their nephew..
Good story line, great short read.. I really did enjoy this
. . . As far as I’m concerned all of Trinity s are worth reading. They are all very good. She is one of my favorite authors.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, Riverdale Avenue Books, via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a sexy little read. Turtle is a scarred young woman who wishes to adopt a young boy that is in the hospital with cancer. His parents also abuse the boy, Bret. It is Christmas time and Turtle wishes to make Christmas perfect for Bret. She restores vintage toys. She spies a toy soldier and wishes for a few toy soldiers of her own. Be careful what you wish for as 4 military men who happen to be Bret’s uncles pay her a visit.
The story is one that you can read in a very short time as you will be glued to your e-reader like I was. This is a steamy read so I can only recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18.
This is a super short read but is great fun for the holiday season
Turtle restores old toys and she wants to have an impact on someones life so she makes a wish She wants to adopt Bret this boy has had a hard life he has battled cancer and he is physically scarred after what his mother did to him something Turtle can understand as she is scarred as well and knows how nasty people can be. What she didn’t expect is to get Bret’s four alpha uncles as part of the deal what is she supposed to do with four military men like the Lankkamp brothers.
An adorable quick read about wishing and hoping for more than you bargained for. Turtle is hoping to foster an abused little boy who is fighting cancer. Wishing on a toy soldier for help an strength brings the boys four uncles out of the woodwork. Will this mean his real family will take him? Or will all four men decide that not only do they want the boy but they want Turtle as well. Alpha men always make a story better and this holiday one is no exception. This was my first novella by this author but it wil not be my last.
I would Love a Few Toy Soldiers by Trinity Blacio
Turtle Kreps has been through a lot but has hopes for her future. Little does she know that her Christmas wish will come true and be a whole lot more than she thought it would be. Not only will she adopt a child but will also gain a much larger family than she thought she would. This is a happily ever after romance with four men and a little lady that all should have a happily ever after together.
What I liked:
* Turtle: seems to be a loving warm and caring woman with a heart of gold
* Lankkamp brothers: four alpha males with soldier backgrounds working to make things right in the world
* Bret: Definitely worthy of a loving family
* Short in word count but perfectly fine and fun to read
What I might have liked:
* More: about the brothers, about Turtle, about Bret, about the before and what will come – wondering if it might be only part of the story and if there is more to come.
Thank you to NetGalley and Riverdale Avenue Books/Desire for the ARC – This is my honest review.
