He’s up to something. I know it. No man can be that handsome and mysterious. He’s probably a spy. I can’t say for sure, but I’m going to find out. Watching Heath is easy, but wanting him is the part that’s going to get me into trouble. Lena peeks from her windows and tries to catch me doing something, though I’m not sure what she thinks she’ll see. What sort of an assassin would I be if my sweet … if my sweet neighbor figured me out so easily? Besides, I’m here to watch over her. The only problem is that she’s irresistible and far more alluring than my work. Choosing between them may be the death of me, but Lena is more than worth it.
(MINK’s note: Hitman’s Prey is an instalove, steamy, and sweet romance with a HEA, perfect for reading with a kitty in your lap and a coffee sitting next to you.)

Hitman’s Prey is Heath and Lena’s story.
I actually enjoyed reading this story.
Lena is a hoot. The way she thinks she’s just super sneaky and spying on the professional even though she’s as clumsy as they come and loud to boot.
Heath allows Lena to believe she’s “spying” but it’s really him who’s secretly spying on his neighbor. However, his job doesn’t allow for love and Lena is just too sweet to be caught in the crossfire.
This is only the second book from MINK, but I’m really hoping not all of her books will be alike like this one and Snow Angel. I’m hoping we get a variation of females and not the timid shy and socially awkward/social anxiety kind.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
Lena has been spying on her neighbor believing there is something suspicious about him. What she doesn’t know is that Heath, her neighbor, has been letting her spy. What she doesn’t realize is he is a hitman and gets called away for assignments. The time has come though for Heath to make Lena his, will she be ale to accept all of who he is?
This was fun. I liked the concept of this one and though Lena was a hoot. Heath enjoys the cat and mouse game with Lena. A lot of humor in in this one.
I love this story. There were so many things that I loved in this story. It was very entertaining and funny. The characters were interesting and relatable. Lena’s friend Kimber was awesome and I wish I had someone like her in my life.

The way that Lena and Heath were both checking each other out cracked me up. The cooking part was awesome but also a little sad. Jinx added quite a bit of comedic relief for me. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book. Or listening to it because that was awesome as well!
This is an addictive read, the author has a way with her writing that I can’t get enough of it. It’s a fall down. Hilariously funny read.
Lena may think she’s smart stalking her neighbor, peering out through various windows of her house but what she doesn’t realise is that he’s also watching her and throughly enjoying this game they are playing.
Lenas not big on people or even leaving the house. Her jaunts to the outside world involves working at the local childcare centre where she finds a calmness holding the babies in her care.
Heath though also gives her this calm. She feels safe and protected with him around if only she could figure out who he really is.
Heath is part of the Brotherhood an elite organisation of Hitmen. They kill the scum of the earth. So it’s not like he’s a serial killer. He’s enamoured with his little neighbor who he’s been trusted to watch over.
But what happens when one wants to leave the Brotherhood? A scene straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster that’s what happens.
I was so happy to read Heath’s story. Is there anything hotter than an assassin?
Then there is Lena. Love this girl really hard. Her quirkiness just pulls you in.
This is a great couple.
Love it when the man will do anything to keep the woman safe.
I read an advanced copy of this book
OMG, loved this story!!!
This is a laugh out loud, sexy, sweet story with some wonderful characters. Lena is a quirky, sweet girl who is spying on her neighbor because she’s convinced his some sort of hitman or spy. Heath knows that Lena watches him, but he loves it cause she’s sweet, sexy and adorably quirky. He plans on making Lena his, but knows he needs to go at her pace. This is an adorably, sexy read and I highly recommend it!
I loved Heath. I loved Lena, heck I even loved Kimber. This story had the most amazing characters.
Heath the super sexy hit man is charged with watching over his clumsy neighbor Lena. While Lena is intrigued by her mysterious neighbor.
This a really fun read. Quick and steamy, with a good amount of action. Definitely a 5 star read!
This is a sweet steamy read. Lena and Heath are neighbors. Both are “spying” on the other and both have an attraction to each other. Lena is a clutz who doesn’t introduce herself because she’s nervous and doesn’t leave her home. Heath is a hitman who thinks he’s keeping her safe by keeping his distance.
Will love win?
This is my first book by this author and it was tots adorable! Heath and Lena make such an awesome couple. I loved Heath’s protective and jealous nature when it came to Lena. Lena is suspecting and stalking Heath at first, because between her and her best friend Kimber, they believed him a spy. Filled with some serious laugh out loud moments and cute clumsy situations made for a great read! Looking forward to the next book!
4 solid stars******
P.S. Kudos on not one, but two wonderful epilogues.
Hot, steamy, sassy, fun and a little angst makes this such a fun story to read. It was the perfect length to stratify me before bed and it created happy dreams. I loved the strong characters and how the push and pull (but also instant love) really drove the story. It has a bit of wickedness but is also playful. This author is quickly becoming a one click for me!

I so enjoyed this second story by this author. This one was filled with more suspense and intrigue. Very sweet and steamy. The chemistry and banter between Heath and Lena is off the charts.
