I enjoyed reading this book! It is about a mail order bride and the sheriff that she came to marry! I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read western romance!
His friend’s mail order bride worked out so he wants one. Well that is okay except he gets a woman who is beautiful but strong willed and feisty. She is also in upper society and has a belief on how they should go about their life. His is different than hers. He is an alpha male with how own beliefs. So here we go with two hard headed people who lock horns and have a lot to work through. Exciting, emotional, fun, heartwarming read. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were well written. I really didn’t like Emily at first, such an entitled attitude. Seeing how she becomes a more down to earth person makes very good reading. Can Emily and Josh reconcile their unrealistic expectations of what their marriage would entail?

It was good to revisit our friends in Spruce Valley. Josh Ryder is one of the good guys. As sheriff he puts everyone’s safety first but as his best friends start marrying, he realizes he is lonely. Atlantan Emily Middleton isn’t a bad person but she is more than a little spoiled. Very accomplished and educated, she suddenly finds herself outside of acceptable society due to bad decisions by her father. You know from the moment that Josh decides to put and ad in the Matrimonial Times that Emily is not quite what he expected and he is definitely not what she is expecting. It was fun to watch her expectations meet reality. Fortunately there is more to Emily than first meets the eye and she is made of tougher stuff than even she knows. Amelia Rose has again given us strong characters and an interesting story.
ONE ELECTRIFYING THRILL RIDE!!!
Revving ’em up! Amelia not only hit the motherload, she created the tapestry, weaved the lines and mastered the scenes. Racking ’em up, presenting the whole kit-n-caboodle. Riding roughshod over chaos, cornering mayhem and herding shenanigans, melding this jewel together seamlessly. Divvying up incredibly, well rounded scenario’s that punch dead center, ramping up the anticipation and adrenaline, thrusting this gem to life brilliantly. Blundering through the trials and tribulations, along with a bevy of sharp twists and sleek turns, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The chemistry and attraction builds as each layer is peeled back exposing an undeniable connection and amplifying affections, launching this gem to a whole new level. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that make it easy to relate. The scenes are written with such realism it paints a fantastic backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Amelia, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
This is a really lovely romantic story about Emily and Josh and the climax that almost doesn’t happen because of his father’s bad judgement.
It is written with lots of feeling and has a good story which kept me wanting to find out what would really happen in the end and whether the two of them would in fact get married or not.
I just loved the strengths and weakness of these two character and these made them quite real. In fact the whole story is really great.
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) and this is my voluntary and unbiased review of it.
