Billionaire casino owner Nathan Halbert walks into Becky Lang’s café with a tantalizing offer to buy it—and another more personal and tantalizing offer. A former barrel racer, Becky came home to care for her ill mother and now single-handedly runs the café in the dying small town of Stoverly, Wyoming. Becky’s only hope for a better future lies in rich rancher Tess Selkirk’s plan to revive the … town. Despite Becky’s shock at Nathan’s boldness, she is amused and tempted, although she has sworn off meaningless affairs such as Nathan has in mind. Nathan loves a challenge, and he sets out to win Becky by making the desert bloom—with a daring project that will enhance the town revival. Becky is excited to help, and Tess is all over it. As they work together to put the town back on the map, the excitement builds and so does the relationship between Becky and Nathan that neither of them can put a name to. Is this friendship, romance, or possibly even love?

Despite the family dramas and Becky’s mother’s illness, Becky manages to fall for Nathan and melt his cold heart. This is a really sweet romance that shows the importance of family and how much life can change.
Nathan Halbert arrives in the small town of Stoverly thinking that he has done his research and knows all the answers. He did not, however, take Becky Lang into account. She is struggling to keep her mother’s café going whilst holding onto her last bit of independence, and when Nathan throws his offer on the table to purchase her business, and by the way sleep with her as well, Becky quickly disabuses him of all and any designs he might have on either her business or herself. For the first time in his life, Nathan finds that his money and good looks have no sway whatsoever over a woman and a business owner. When Robert Selkirk the patriarch of the Selkirk family dies, the Selkirk family is thrown a curveball. They knew that he was manipulative and controlling, but then his will is read. They did not expect the onerous conditions he set. Things get worse when Becky’s mother who suffers from dementia, throws in a wayward remark about family connections. Any semblance of order goes out the door and suddenly the Selkirk family is looking at Becky and her mother with new eyes. Suspense in this novel has been created by the family dynamics and the growing attraction between Becky and Nathan, whilst the Selkirks are trying to find answers to the quandary they find themselves in. Altogether, this book is well written with strong but interesting characters and as it evolves, solutions to many problems start to become evident. I loved both Nathan and Becky’s characters. The fact that Nathan couldn’t get what he wanted without some effort and the thawing of his damaged heart, makes him a hero in my view. Becky’s determination not to back down when faced with an easy solution to her own problems also won my admiration. Having read most of the books in this series, I was happy to see that many of the issues that the Selkirks have had to face came to a conclusion in this story. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review
Becky Lang has returned home to take care of her mother and runs the only café in town. Nathan Halbert, a casino owner, offers to buy the café. But when Becky refuses, he’s determined to change her mind.
However, when the two get to know each other better, things get really interesting.
I loved the story and the characters. This is a beautiful novel that shows how important family is and how life can change. I highly recommend the reading.

Becky Lang Rides Again by Irene Vantanoff takes us back to the Selkirk Family Ranch with Becky and Tess. I love this story series and the family. This story takes us back to old friends and brings us new one.
What could possibly happen when a stranger wants to buy your family café where you are the only one who won’t sell? This story brings us both intrigue and the sense of family. Tess Selkirk is rebuilding Stoverly and Becky’s family café was the only one who hadn’t sold their business. When a man came to buy her café and develop the land Becky said no. Nathan doesn’t give up and he plans on having that land. Getting to know Becky seemed to be the best way to get what he wanted. Little did he know what he was getting into, Becky wasn’t the country bumpkin he thought her to be. This story brings us friendships and that love can happen when you least expect it. A fun book that keeps you reading until the end.
