Sexy, smart with irresistible charm. The man had everything except any idea who he was… can be identified.
For years Lexi believed she was better off single. John Doe soon has her reconsidering. Though she tries to keep her distance, she finds herself drawn to John Doe’s goodness. This forthright, kind man is someone she could easily love.
But when the life he had before Jackson Hole comes calling and his memory begins to return, the world he and Lexi have been building is threatened.
~This story was originally published as In Love With John Doe (as noted on the copyright page) It was updated (WOW-has technology changed in ten years!) as well as some of the writing was tightened. What hasn’t changed is this is a heartwarming story that you’re going to love!~

I really enjoyed How to Romance a Stranger. As always, I love how Cindy’s characters are honest with themselves and others throughout the experience. I found the inclusion of the story about Mimi funny, and it definitely contributed to the main story in helping Nick know how to show his love for Lexi. I love the relationships in Cindy’s novels, how friends are true to one another. It’s heartwarming. Her novels consistently show love in all its forms, not just romantic love – that’s one of the things that makes them so enjoyable. Her novels show that relationships take MANY forms, and that we need all forms of love in order to thrive.
I received a preview copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Lexi Brennan is a Hospital Social Worker and single mother. She is assigned to the handsome mystery patient who was rescued from an avalanche, but he has no idea who he is. Jack Snow (he felt John Doe was a bit too pedestrian) has no ID or phone, but thousands in cash on him. Since he has no place to go, Lexi brings Jack to the Bed and Breakfast she lives at. Being around Lexi brings back his memories in bits and pieces. Jack starts to fall for both mother and daughter, but what will happen when he figures out who he is? This is a delightful small town romance with very likable characters. This was originally written as part of the RX of Love series and has been updated and rereleased. I loved Jackson Hole when I visited there, and this book series takes me right, back. Cindy’s flourish brings you in to the welcoming town and townspeople, as she always does so well. This story builds a love story for ‘Jack’ and Lexi. It’s Interesting to see how the relationship develops as Jack finds his way back , or forward as it turns out, to being a better person..

How to Romance a Stranger is a wonderfully written, heartwarming story, cute story. Jack Snow, aka John Doe, aka Nick Delacourt, has amnesia after a skiing accident and is struggling to regain his identity. He is assisted with temporary living arrangements by Lexi Brennan who is the hospital social worker and also a single mother with a distrust of men after her abandonment by her fiancé when she became pregnant. Jack and Lexi work together to try and trigger his memories but the more time they spend together, the closer they get. Although they are fighting it, the attraction cannot be denied and the story that follows is filled with a rollercoaster of emotions that will entertain and delight the reader. I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend this story.
I received an advanced reader copy from the publisher but all thoughts are feelings are my own.
The mystery of this story kept me intrigued from the very beginning. The mysteries where did this man come from and how did he end up where he was brought me in and wondering who he is and the romantic twist the quickly developed kept me hooked. As Lexi’s own background mystery began coming to the surface I was also concerned for her and wanted so badly to read about her own happy ending. This story did not disappoint in the least. As all the mysteries were solved one by one and the kindness and genuineness in both John Doe and Lexi are more and more evident I never lost interest! I highly recommend this sweet story of hope and romance. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
These are such fun books to read because they draw you in, and before you know it you’re half way through the book!
When “Jack Snow” loses his memory after a skiing accident Lexi doesn’t know what to do other than help him out and befriend him. So she does just that, but very quickly they start to fall for each other and friendship isn’t enough. So what happens, what does Lexi decide? Well you’ll have to read to find out!
I received an advanced copy from the publisher, but I promise this review is all my own!
In How to Romance a Stranger, a man is brought to the hospital, with no memory and no identification. He is handed off to social worker Lexi Brennan. Unable to find local lodging for “John Doe/Jack Snow”, she arranges accommodations at Wildwoods, the B&B where she lives with her seven-year-old daughter, Addison.
Lexi and Jack’s growing mutual attraction is tempered by the knowledge that Jack might be married or engaged, or despite his current generous and kind behavior, a jerk. The piecemeal return of Jack’s memories, and custodial demands from Addison’s father, further threaten their relationship. Have no fear, all ends well.
The book reads like all Cindy Kirk novels, and that is very good for a reader. Another winning story.
Although How to Romance a Stranger is #2 in the Jackson Hole series, the events take place before the events of book 1, It Started With Joy. The out of sequence has no real impact on the events of Stranger, and thus did not affect my enjoyment of Stranger.

Jack Snow / John Doe had an accident and lost his memory. Lexi is a single Mom and the social worker at the hospital, and brings Jack home when she cant find anywhere else for him to stay. They slowly fall in love even before his memories return. Lexi is having issues with her daughter’s birth Father, he want to see her, and spend time with her now, when he dumpes Lexi after finding out she was pregnant 7 years ago. Jack turns out to be Nick, a family lawyer, who helps Lexi with her troubles. The end is Nick coming back after going home to Dallas when his former fiancee and coworker sees him on the news and comes to get him.

Wow! As much as I love Cindy’s books, this one is among my favorites. Jack and Lexi meet when he is in an accident and loses his memory and she has to help him find lodging while he recovers. Of course they start falling for each other, but the don’t know if he is married with children, or what. Love and angst ensue.
This was a very good book, some steam but not much, and had a good epilogue. “I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.”
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. Can I tell you how much I love Jackson Hole? This town has captured my heart. This book starts a little different. A John Doe is found and brought to the hospital with a bunch of cash and no family. He later dubs himself Jack Snow. This man is gorgeous and apparently has a great deal of cash on him and nothing else. He is released to Lexi Brennan, Jackson Hole’s social worker, who is tasked with finding Jack a place to stay until his memory comes back or someone comes to claim him. Needless to say there is an instant connection between the two and the only spot available happens to be Wildwoods where Lexi resides with her precocious daughter Addison (Addie).
Lexi and Jack grow closer with Jack’s lost memory ever present. This book takes readers on a journey of discovery with not only Jack but Lexi and Addie as well. Lexi and Jack have to keep their growing feelings in check until they can find out who Jack is and if he left a family behind, more particularly, if he has a wife.
As bits and pieces of his memory come back, Jack realizes that he is not married and free to develop the relationship that he and Lexi have been fighting. Jack is integrated into their lives pretty quickly and is able to utilize his background to help several people in town. With the money running out and still no family to claim him, Jack starts working for the Inn’s owner, Coraline, for room and board.
All is going well until Jack’s father and fiancé arrive to claim him. I am not going to give away the ending. This is definitely something you should read for yourself. It is well worth it. Congratulations to Cindy for creating another town with heartfelt characters that will melt your heart.
I loved this book. Originally released as part of a Silhouette series, this story brought me right back to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the delightful cast of characters Kirk introduced us to in their own books. Lexi meets “Jack” in a most unusual way, and against all her priorities and best intentions, proceeds to fall in love with a man who is all wrong for her in an off-limits way. But, of course, he turns out to be the perfect man for her. So as not to spoil the details of the story, suffice it to say, they are good for each other and belong together against all odds. An endearing story with an adorable kid who has her own character growth, you are sure to enjoy this tale. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series and get to know the other characters again.
I was given an arc of this book by the publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.
This is such a lovely, romantic, warm and funny story. I love this story and the characters. This book is heartwarming and lovely. I enjoy reading it. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
What happens when you lose your memory & find yourself attracted to the woman trying to help you? Ignore the attraction or work on it & see where it goes? John Doe aka Jack Snow aka Nick Delacorte finds out. On a skiing getaway, Nick is injured in an accident & ends up losing his memory. Lexi is a social worker at the hospital & has to find some place for him to go until he regains his memory. The longer they spend together, the more attracted they find themselves. For Lexi, the clincher was the way he treated Addi, her daughter. What will happen when Nick regains his memory?
I enjoyed this story. I love when a child actually adds to the story instead of becoming a distraction. Nick & Addi’s relationship is as important in this story as Nick & Lexi’s. The care that Nick takes with Addi’s feelings proves what type of person he is down deep. He’s considerate of her feelings & concerns. Lexi needed to learn to trust her feelings & Nick’s. At the beginning, she was more afraid of being hurt but she began to come around. This was another heart warming story.
