“A sizzling, chemistry-filled enemies-to-lovers romance, which is both crackaliciously addictive and angst-central. I couldn’t get enough of Nash and Em. One of my favorite books of the year.” – L.J. Shen, USA Today Bestselling AuthorFrom USA Today bestselling author Parker S. Huntington comes an enemies-to-lovers, slow-burn romance full of revenge and a dash of fate.“She could enjoy her pretty, … fate.
“She could enjoy her pretty, perfect world a little longer. Soon enough, everything she owned would be mine.”
I had a plan to escape the friend zone.
Step one: sneak into Reed’s room.
Step two: sleep with him.
But when the lights turned on, it wasn’t familiar blue eyes I saw.
These were dark, angry, and full of demons.
And they belonged to Reed’s much older brother.
Four years later, Nash Prescott is no longer the help’s angry son.
I’m no longer the town’s prized princess.
At twenty-two, I’m broke, in need of a job.
At thirty-two, he’s a billionaire, in need of revenge.
Who cares if my family ruined his?
Who cares if he looks at me with pure loathing?
Who cares if every task he assigns me is designed to torture?
I need the money.
Simple as that.
I’ll suffer his cruelty in silence, knowing there’s one thing he wants more than revenge…
Me.

Darling, this is the first book I’ve read by Parker S. Huntington and I never fell in love that quickly.
That story!
Those characters!
Pure perfection. Devious Lies is a five star read that will leave you with one hell of a book hangover.
I’m still not ever it. I might never get over it.
Devious Lies is the perfect love story with a touch of slow burn and wonderful characters
You don’t want to miss this one!
This is the first book I’ve read by Parker S. Huntington and I knew after reading the first chapter that she was going to be one of my favourite authors. Her writing is flawless and I couldn’t get enough of it. Devious Lies is a book that I wished would never end. But sadly it did and it left such an impression behind.
This amazing story is about Nash Prescott. Asshole, alpha and pretty controlling. He, of course, stole my weak heart right away. He made me swoon. Nash completely swopped me off my feet and he did the same thing to the strong and beautiful Emery.
They met when she was rich and he was not. When she was in love with his brother. When his parents worked for hers. But life is unpredictable and soon everything changes. She loses everything and he gains. And a few years later they meet again. But hate still runs through their veins because of what happened in the past and that is the cocktail for a spectacular book. And it even gets better when Emery ends up working for the bitter Nash.
These two were pure fire. They fought, pushed each other buttons and loved deeply. It was a slow burn that fed my romance addiction. I couldn’t get enough of these two. They matched so well and I devoured their love story. Their struggles got the perfect spotlight in this book as well.
I recommend this book to every romance lover. It is one of my highlights of this year. Fall in love with great writing, wonderful and in-depth characters, and an epic love story written down in 145,000 words. Take a shot at this one and suffer from a horrible book hangover after it.
Nash and Emery’s second chance at love was a struggle. With so many lies between them, Emery doesn’t know who to trust and who to believe.
This slow burn slow paced well written book took time to read but was well worth the journey.
Nash fights for his right to a HEA with Emery but his lies and loyalties kept him from being transparent with her. I loved that he totally chose Emery every time

5 Devious Crowns
Parker has created a thoroughly addicting Enemies to Lovers romance that will stay with you long after you’ve finished. This story was completely Unputdownable, I was enraptured from the prologue until the very last word. I seriously got nothing accomplished while reading this, I Could. Not. Put. It. Down!!! These characters, this story, will consume you until you have finished and leave an indelible mark on your heart.
**It takes strength to want something and deny yourself the craving. And Emery Winthrop possessed a strength so great it broke her and pieced her together.**
I read the Spring Fling Anthology so I had some vague idea of where this was going. I knew the characters and the gist of the backstory. But I was not prepared for where Parker took these two characters, which I had already fallen in love with.
**Fate whispers to the warrior, “You cannot withstand the storm,” and the warrior whispers back, “I am the storm.” –Unknown**
Emery is freaking amazing, the strength of heart and character that she possesses is unlike anything I’ve seen. She is completely selfless to the point of detriment to her. But you understand why she does it. Parker has created her in such a way that you want to stand beside her, hurt when she hurts and help where you can. She is so completely quirky and stubborn you cannot help but fall in love with her. And the banter between her and Nash was pure freaking fire, you could feel the tension between them burn from the pages. Every time they are in a room together you could feel it as if it’s this tangible energy that can’t be denied.
**I wanted to inhale his smoke, coat my tongue with his ashes, and bury myself in his lies.**
Nash is EVERYTHING. This man and his Alpha dominance is enough to make a nun blush. He acts like the villain with his words but proves otherwise with his actions. He is a complete contradiction, one that you want so badly to figure out. And let me tell you the things that come out of this man’s mouth will get you wound up… I could not get enough of him. I thought I loved him in Spring Fling but I was so very wrong, because I am obsessed with him after having read this.
**No matter how many times I kiss her, claim her, mark her as mine, it will never be enough. The way I crave her is insatiable. It’s proof of immortality.**
Enemies to Lovers is one of my all-time favorite tropes, I love the feelings it conjures and the progression the characters take to whatever their end is. And Parker has shown me once again why this is my favorite. I cannot stress how much I loved this story and these characters. Parker has created a world that I want so badly to live in. This book will take a piece of you with it when you’re done and you won’t want it back.
Where to begin with this, it is my first read by Parker and definitely won’t be my last. She created two characters intwined in a story that I absolutely fell in love with. Hands down, this is the best and favorite read of mine this entire year.
But I don’t want to give anything away for fear of spoilers – believe me, this story will consume you in such a fantastic way and leave you with a smile so big. I laughed, teared up, and found myself wanting to throw my kindle at times, because this story consumed me.
Nash is the burly, spite filled jerk that you love to hate – But he has a heart that is bigger than his ego.
Emery is the girl that raised with a silver spoon in her mouth, rebellion on her lips, and lies surrounding her
Together, they are fire. Their banter is amazing and it was fantastic reading how they had a relationship before they even realized.
Betrayals and so many secrets surround the both of them – will they sink or will they rise above and thrive after everything is revealed.
In my opinion, Parker has become a queen of slow burn and suspense filled romances because of this story. I found myself slowing down on finishing because I didn’t want to see Nash and Emery’s story end. I will definitely be going back and reading again.

Sweet Holy Titfire.
Just take my money. If I could give this more than five stars I would. I love this author. Truly one of the best when it comes to Mafia books and in fact has one of my all-time favorite Book Boyfriends (Bastian) so when I heard she was creating a book that wasn’t Mafia, I will admit, I was a little sad. Well, let me just say that I was wrong. Utterly and unequivocally wrong because this book just landed itself as one of the best books that I have read this year.
I am not even sure where to start with this review because it had everything that I could have wanted in a book and then some. The tension and lies were insane. The inner monologues or commentary that the characters had with themselves or where they “filtered” their thoughts to what someone was saying was a highlight of the book. I laughed out loud several times. The vocabulary took me back to college days when the thesaurus was my best friend while doing a literary analysis. I am truly gobsmacked at how effortlessly the author used these words and wove them into not only the story but also into such a major facet of the characters themselves. Even though this story is based upon lies it is so much more than that. I loved that the author showed that lies were wrong but also left it open-ended because what if without those lies the very things that someone knows or how they have lived their life changed? Is it fate? Is it destiny?
The characters were complex and dynamic. Both Nash and Emery had so many dimensions to them. From outward appearances, they both seemed unflappable. Yet, they both were carrying some serious guilt and baggage. I loved both of these characters something fierce. I loved Emery for her resilience and gypsy soul. She was not meant to be tamed. She was meant to be relished and admired. Her feistiness and ability to give everything; whether it was love, sarcasm, and the love of words and meanings because of the connection made my soul cry out with joy. After reading this book, I need to change her to my spirit animal because she is everything. Nash, sweet holy Joseph, Mary, Gabriel, and Baby Jesus. This man could make an atheist into a believer. He was ruthless and yet he wasn’t. He is the whole package, dominant juxtaposed with soft, calculating, and also introspective. He is the ultimate contradiction.
Add these two together and it was everything. There was a push and pull between the characters that created this magic in every interaction. It built the anticipation not only by their bantering but in all the ways that bound them together. It was as if there were invisible cords tying them together. The universe was definitely pulling these strings because if ever there was a couple that spelled out dual-flame or kismet then it most assuredly was these two. This wasn’t even as much about the steam, this was about THEM. The build-up to them being together was everything.
This depth in this story, and the way that the author managed to make me ponder so many of the messages in the book were truly sublime. She made me posit not only words but also my stance on Sisyphus (my former Philosophy professor would be so happy now) which considering I have a degree in both that says something but I digress. The bottom line, I am rambling like a shiny squirrel because this book is truly mellifluous. The author reminded me why I love reading. She created a book with a storyline filled with characters that felt real and let me live in my imagination where real-life ceased to exist and at the end left me feeling both happy to have known them but also bereft because they had to come to an end. That my friends, is pure magic and why books are powerful. One of the best of 2019 and one of the best ever.
Wow was my reaction when I finished this book, I was blown away. It is completely different to anything else I have read; it was poignant, funny and truly lovely. The parallel dialogue between Emery and Nash in person and on the app where they had no knowledge of the other’s identity was intriguing and a very clever tool of the author. There were times I cried because it was sad and times I cried because it was so beautiful and the epilogue blew me away and the epilogue was stunning. I can not recommend this book highly enough.
Devious Lies will blow you away! The chemistry between Emery & Nash burns through every page. The angst and emotion amp this story up and leave you breathless. Don’t miss out!
