I can tell the books of Donna Jay I have read so far are great and this one isn’t the exception.
The CEO of KB Incorporated Simone is committed to her job and only her job. She doesn’t delegate and her life is the company. One evening while doing overtime to go through some paperwork, she gets flabbergasted by the temporary cleaner “Jane”. She has only seen her two times before she disappears but has already turned her world upside down. She knows she has to find the mysterious cleaner and the search begins; Nadia is the owner of a lingerie shop, with a big heart and a woman who would do anything for a friend. When her dear friend needs her to cover for her, she doesn’t think twice to fill in her cleaning shift. When she meets the sexy CEO, she’s drawn to her from the beginning. Will they mix pleasure with business?
There are several things I loved about this story. It is a very well written romance. The development of the story and the characters are sublime. I enjoyed very much reading their personal growth, as well as the build-up of the romance. Even when I like well written BDSM and I love sexy scenes, I enjoyed very much that the story isn’t around the sex, but about the building of the romance. Nonetheless, I loved the steamy scenes very very much and they were really steamy. Another thing that I found fascinating was the description of the NZ places. I must admit that I felt enthralled and did a little research on the places. They are beautiful and complemented the story beautifully. There is a little bit of drama, but just enough and I consider necessary to keep the flow of the story.
There’s nothing better than witnessing sizzling chemistry between the characters. I love how from the beginning they were oozing this amazing chemistry in any circumstances. Not to mention in the sexy scenes, which as I mentioned are very steamy and out of the charts. There are a lot of funny dialogues as well. The way they fit together so well is definitely something to look for.
In conclusion, I absolutely loved this very well written brilliant erotic romance. It is a delightful read and I’d gladly like to recommend it.
How can a fiction book be about trust you ask? Well, trust me (sorry, could not resist), Jay has done that in Corporate Lines. Her ability to create wholly developed, diverse and complicated characters is energizing as a reader. I never give spoilers, so although I would love to tell you about so many scenes in this story that I was absolutely sucked into, what I will tell you is how well they are done. Her descriptions from locations to characters to sex scenes are such that I could feel myself right there, I could smell the aroma of a bouquet of roses and the fields in Hobbiton—a place I have never been but would love to see. Well done, Donna Jay.
The author has developed such a bond between the two main characters, you will love the witty banter between the two as they build that trust. I love that she uses phrases that are common to her native Country because they just add a greater element of flavour to the personalities of each character. Reading this story has me wanting to visit places there, but for now, I’ll just enjoy reading stories based in New Zealand written by Jay.
This is a wonderful story of love, friendship, trust, and a bit of kink, with great dialogue and plenty of humour. As I said, I give no spoilers, but you will love the epilogue as much as the story itself. Just sayin’.
