When the little girl arrives later in the emergency department, he comes face to face with the mother makes more of an impression on him than the cut she left on his face.

Charlotte has been through a lot in her life and she distrust strangers. When her precious five years old daughter Marisol falls in the park her world turns upside down. Is it possible to turn a tragedy into one of the best things in her life? Can Handsome and caring Dr. Young treat Marisol and heal Charlotte’s heart? Great story.
Good story line. Some interesting little twists. Kind of a sweet romance. Kept me interested. Well written and edited. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Jumping to conclusions both Dr Wes and Charlotte make assumptions that almost cost them the best gift life could offer them. Seeing Wes with her daughter makes Charlotte furious and brings forth an overreaction she is not proud of. Having to depend on the good doctor when the injury her daughter Marisol suffers is more serious than first suspected, Charlotte realises just how wrong she has been. However, as the attraction between Wes and Charlotte grows, he comes to a point where he wonders whether he has bitten off more than he could chew. This novel is tragic in many ways, but as Wes and Charlotte finally come to a point of being able to talk, the past becomes just that – the past. This story is reasonably well written with a good plot. It is a standalone and comes to a successful conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Charlotte and her five-year-old daughter Marisol are at the park when Charlotte sees a man bending down and talking to Marisol. Charlotte loses it and barrels into the man and screaming that she was going to call the police. The man is Wes and he is a doctor. What Charlotte didn’t know was that Marisol had taken a tumble from bars and hit her head. Later, after Marisol is rushed to the hospital by the babysitter, Wes just happens to be her treating doctor. What an utterly fabulous story. Loved it.
This book introduces us not only ER Doctor, Wesley Young, but also his family. Individuals that are sure to have a story in the future.
Wesley is very dedicated to his work and loves kids. On a morning run by the local park , he sees a little girl fall from the monkey bars and immediately goes to her aid. Her mom, Charlotte Bennett, at first distressed when she can’t find her daughter, becomes a mama bear when she sees a man touching her daughter. She goes on the offensive by assaulting him and dragging her daughter, Marisol, away. Not knowing that Wesley is in fact a concerned doctor and that she would meet him again under dire circumstances.
As the story continues, we learn about Charlotte’s traumatic past. One filled with circumstances no child or woman wants to ever experience. But it’s also a past she’s keeping a secret from everyone and a secret that as the relationship develops between Wes and Charlotte, could cause it to end.
Aside from the plot, this story is about abuses and traumas that some individuals sadly experience in their lives and how they affect their present and possibly their future. It’s also a story about family, hope, new beginnings and love.
A story that will leave you wanting to get to know the rest of the members of the Young family.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
A cute, fast paced story. Charlotte is a single mother of an adorable girl. Wesley is a caring pediatrician looking for the right woman to start a family with. Wesley’s reactions to her “secrets” are over-the-top for the single date they’ve been on. The attraction is there, but they barely know each other and he is immediately hyper-critical of her supposed behaviors. She has given him no reason to react as he does.
4.5 Cranky Stars
What a joy to read, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well written. A book to curl up in front of the fire with.
Charlotte was a single parent and overly protective of her daughter, Marisol. Charlotte was at the playground with her friend Jersey and her son, when her coffee was spilt down her shirt. She asked Jersey to watch Marisol while she went to see if she had a spare shirt in her car as she was going straight to work after she had dropped Marisol with her minder. She was so paranoid she kept looking back so that she could see her, everything was fine until she was walking back to the playground and couldn’t see her. She went into panic mode and ran for the playground to see a man standing with Marisol. She went into Lioness mode and pushed the man away from her screaming at him. He actually was a doctor out for a run and seen Marisol fall from a great height and bang her head. He was just checking her head when Charlotte pounced. Later that day at the minders Marisol had fallen asleep and couldn’t be woken so was rushed to hospital where Dr Wesley Young was dealing with her as Charlotte arrived. She was embarrassed as he was the man she had attacked that morning but her main concern was Marisol. The attraction between Charlotte and Wes started here but she hadn’t dated for years.
She had two hidden bad experiences in her past which made her the way she was.
How could this end in a happy ever after, she was damaged goods. Wes was not one to give up, but then Charlotte’s past caught up with her. Even Wes couldn’t handle so much baggage.
What will happen between them???

This the kickoff to a new series and boy it has me hooked already. I’m invested in the Young family. I’m glad each sibling is getting a book. I don;t know how I’m going to be patient to wait for each book. This book I just gobbled up. I loved Wes so much. The scenes with Marisol and Wes are just too precious. You can tell how much he loves children. Charlotte breaks your heart, but at the same time amazes you with her inner strength. To know what she went through in her life to be the fighting and caring woman she is shows her true character. I have to come back to the Young family because I love how close they are. You can instantly feel the bond they have. Makes me so happy Charlotte has them in her life. I’m looking forward to more from this series.
I had read Henley the second book in the series and loved it. I also enjoy the authors work in many other series and this was another great book. The book Wesley is the first in the series and you get to know the characters and what a loving family the Youngs are. In this book, Charlotte Bennett, she sees a stranger touch her daughter, Marisol, after a fall at the park. Charlotte immediately jumped to the conclusion that this was a bad man. How wrong she is. Marisol has to go to the emergency room and that’s when Charlotte realized who the man was, Doctor Wesley Young. For some reason, Wesley is really taken to Charlotte but couldn’t do anything since her daughter was a patient. When Marisol is no longer a patient things really heat up between Charlotte and Wesley. It wasn’t an easy start for the two but as always, Stacy Eaton’s gift of writing keeps you hooked and can’t wait to find out what happens. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I absolutely loved this story! A well written heartfelt story that will definitely pull on your heartstrings and lead you on an emotional journey. From trauma to trust and love, read on as we follow these relatable characters on their path of discovery and hope that they get their HEA. I cannot wait to read more from this series!
Wesley by Stacy Eaton is the first book in her new series Loving a Young and definitely worth reading.
When Charlotte Bennett ends up in the ER with her daughter Marisol she realizes that earlier she had made a horrible mistake by accusing the man at the park of being inappropriate with her daughter. It was hard not to be embarrassed with him standing right there caring for her daughter and trying to make sure she received the best care possible.
Dr. Wesley Young realizes that what he feels for both Charlotte and Marisol is anything, but professional. However there is more to Charlotte’s past than she is telling and it is causing a lot of trust issues that they are going to have to get through if this relationship is ever going to work.
I’m definitely looking forward to reading more books in this series!
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Being a single Mom has been difficult for Charlotte and her daughter Marisol, but she wouldn’t change it for anything…that is until she meets Dr. Wesley Young! Wesley’s kind and loving spirit are just what Charlotte needs to heal her broken soul. Great read and beginning to this new series! Can’t wait for the second book!
I was given the opportunity to read this for an honest review. This was a great easy read. Charlotte is a single mom with some terrifying history, Marisol is her beautiful daughter. Wesley also know as Dr. Young, is single and finally in his residency, he can focus on his future. Then there is a collision in the park and sparks fly. There are many twists and turns as the author weaves the story about overcoming trauma and finding love.
What a nice quick read and fast HEA. Once again Stacey introduces us to a new Series that will keep us hooked. The Young family is a must to discover. Charlotte had a hard past and Wesley had a good life so far. Charlotte is a hard working single mom that has not time to spare between working, her studies and her beautiful Marisol. She’s alone with no family besides her daughter and her best friend. Wesley has it all; he’s very handsome, has a really great career and a family he adores but he still yearns for something more; to find a woman with whom he could finally build a family of his own. Charlotte lived thru some bad experiences and when she first meets Wesley and misjudges him; her worst fears are brought back. I loved it when she realizes who he really is and I couldn’t help but fall for both of them. She’s starting to realize that life with the right person could be so different; that fate wasn’t done throwing surprises at her. Wesley fell for Charlotte right away and all he wants is to protect her; make her feel safe and give her all she and Marisol deserve. This is a story that is beautifully written; raw emotions, passion and love at first sight; it’s all in there. Stacey Eaton has a way with words and every single one of her many different series are addictive. This could be read as a standalone but not for me; I can’t wait for Henley’s story next!
