Kelly Bradley isn’t impulsive. Unless you count that time she walked into billionaire power player Jack Sutton’s office and proposed on a sticky note. He said yes, by the way. With that one word, he saved her from crippling student loan debt and his company from a takeover that would mean its end. What could go wrong?A lot, as it turns out. This is a standalone fake relationship … standalone fake relationship marriage-of-convenience with a twist of suspense in the Sutton Billionaires Series. A shorter version of this book was previously published in the Sutton Capital Series under the name Legal Ease.

The Billionaire Deal: Excellent writing! Full of surprises and suspense. The characters were fantastic throughout the story. I loved how Lori Ryan kept her readers on their toes throughout the book. I liked the friendship between Jack, Andrew, and Chad. He came across as a man that cared about his company but wanted to keep his playboy ways until met Kelly. I loved the book!

Remarkable job Lori, thanks for sharing this little treasure with us.
Not disappointed
Kelly, a law student, comes up with a plan to help Jack, billionaire CEO, out of a situation and help get her law school tuition paid for. As the story progresses the deal is sealed, things get complicated, and a not so great surprise could be the end of it all. I previously read this story under the title Legal Ease and was not disappointed with this new expanded version. Ms. Ryan’s characters are relatable and deal with everyday problems in a realistic if somewhat farfetched manor. I look forward to reading the expanded versions of the other Sutton Capital titles.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Fantastic. Superb. Great storytelling and great storyline. You will love it.
Jack is CEO of Sutton Capital, but his aunt is trying to oust him and put her son in as CEO. The only way to stop it? He can get his mothers shares if he is married before his 35th birthday which is next week. Enter Kelly, the beautiful stranger who walks into Jack’s office and announces that she is his fiancé with a sticky note that says one year of marriage for $154,000 so she can go to law school. It’s a win win for both of them. This way he can stay as CEO and get his mother’s shares and keep his company. Jack has no idea who Kelly is or how she found out that he had to get married, but they are pulling it off magnificently. Only one little drawback. Kelly is starting to fall in love with Jack. What is she going to do when the year is up and has to go back to her normal life, and she has fallen so hard and completely in love with Jack. Is he just in it for the year to keep his company or does he have feelings for her too? But neither say it until something drastic happens to Kelly and Jack realizes he cannot live without her. That he wants her forever. I loved this book. Jack is such a gentleman and treats her so tenderly that there’s no way that she can’t know that he’s in love with her. This book is so beautifully and lovingly written. You will not be able to put it down. Kelly is like the girl next-door and nothing like any of the women that Jack dates, movie stars, models. She is exactly the kind of woman that Jack’s parents would have approved of. All Jack wants is to have a marriage like his parents who loved each other until the day they died. Can he have that with Kelly? Or will she leave after a year and she’s only in it for the money? You will have to read this book to find out. And you will love the ending.
Received free copy from Bookfunnel for Proofreading The Billionaire Deal. Loved the extended version, didn’t see much change other than it was longer and gave more details which I believe the author was trying to give.
Jack is CEO of Sutton Capital who needs a wife per his mother’s will. Jen who overhears her boss needing a wife tells Kelly who comes up with a plan to help Jack and in she walks to offer her services. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall when he told his cousin, Chad, and Aunt.
When Kelly breezed into Jack’s office little did he know how his life would be turned upside down. What follows is an emotional, endearing and absorbing story absolutely crammed with content and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this book.
This is a new edition of the Sutton Capital book ‘Legal Ease’. The author added about seven thousand words to the book and re-titled it The Billionaire Deal. I know I read the original book a couple of years ago but I don’t remember it so I am not sure where the additions were made. But since the newest version is excellent, I don’t think it matters.
This is the story of Jack and Kelly. CEO Jack has to marry before his 35th birthday or he may lose control of his business which is a large venture capital firm. Kelly has gotten into Yale Law School but doesn’t have nearly enough money to pay the tuition. When she hears that Jack needs a wife immediately, she volunteers.
What I really like about this book is that it takes a different path through the plot. You know that eventually there will be a HEA but how it gets there is more creative than just a guy meets girl and eventually falls in love.
I was given an ARC so that I can give an honest review.
The Billionaire Deal from Lori Ryan is my first ever read from this author, but it won’t be my last. Book one in the Sutton series, sets us up with Kelly and Jack. This was such a fun and sexy read from the get go, they have great chemistry, plus they meet in a fun way. Can a marriage of convenience become a marriage of love? Throw in some cloak and dagger, which makes for a great read.
Jack Sutton needs a wife by his thirty-fifth birthday or possibly lose control of Sutton Capital. Since he is not even dating someone, that is a problem. When a woman he doesn’t know arrives at his office and introduces herself as his fiancée, he is obviously confused. Who is this woman? Kelly Bradley has been accepted to Yale Law, but the tuition amount is way beyond her means. Her best friend tells her of Jack’s need for a wife and she decides to take a chance and offer her hand in marriage for one year and the tuition she needs. This sensuous love story has it all…engaging characters, romance, suspense and witty dialog that will keep you turning the pages until the amazing end. I can’t wait for more stories in the Sutton Capital series. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
I loved this book! I am new to Lori Ryan, but I am absolutely in love! I am a huge fan of convenience marriage stories, but I swear this may be my favorite yet! The Billionaire Deal literally has EVERYTHING you want in a romance story! I read this book in one sitting! LOVED!
I read this book some time ago when the title was Legal Ease. I honestly didn’t see any major differences, but as I mentioned, it was years ago.
The book pulled me in from the very beginning. I liked the office scene at the start of the book when Jack saw Kelly for the first time. I liked both of their characters and thought they interacted really well. They were sweet, funny, and witty. I also liked that Kelly wasn’t just after getting as much from Jack as she could, and that Jack was sweet, friendly, and respectful to Kelly.
This book had some sexy scenes, and there was no instalove. The relationship, as well as the sexual tension, was gradually built up.
The Billionaire Deal was not just about a fake marriage. There was also some action, mystery, and suspense involved. After their ordeal, Jack and Kelly ultimately got their HEA. This was a fast paced book that I read pretty quickly.
If I went back and read Legal Ease, I could probably point out the differences to you. They didn’t stand out to me in this book. Reading The Billionaire Deal just made me realize how much I enjoyed reading the Sutton Capital series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book received from the author.
ARC for honest review with no compensation
The Billionaire Deal is book 1 in the Sutton Billionaires series by Lori Ryan. I read the shorter version of this story years ago as the Sutton Capital series. Love it then and love this extended version even more!!
Jack Sutton, CEO of his family’s company Sutton Capital has to find a wife before his 35th birthday in a few days or his will lose control of the company per his mother’s will. Problem is where will he find a woman to marry on short notice, divorce in a year, sign a prenup and not be after his billions…
Kelly Bradley need to find a way to pay for school after he financial aid fall through as she was just accepted into Yale. When she meets her friend Jennie (who works as a temp for Jack and has been listening to his private conversations on a broken intercom explains Jack needs a temporary wife) Kelly may have found it her way to pay for school.
Nail biting suspense, steamy romance, laughter, friendship, mystery, fake marriage or is it combines to make this an edge of your seat reading!
The Billionaire Deal by Lori Ryan is the story of Kelly Bradley and Jack Sutton.
Kelly just accomplish something extraordinary…she was excepted into Yale School of Law. But the problem is that she won’t be able to afford it unless she comes up with a way to earn that money. Jack is being stronghold into fulfilled his mother will where he is to be married to keep what he place in the family business. So he just needs a temporary wife to fit that need without the hassle of a real relationship. But neither planned on the complication of how their feelings will start to change.
I read the book blurb and I knew this book was for me. I so love this gene of romance.
Jack needs a wife. Kelly needs a money for law school.
When she walks to his office with marriage license papers, he is happy that his friend found him a pretend wife. To his surprise, that’s not the case.
Loved this wonderful and sweet story, characters are amazing. Can’t wait for other books in the series.
I volunteered to read an advanced copy of The Billionaire Deal. I really enjoyed reading it. Jack Sutton a well known bad boy struggling against his conniving Aunt to keep his CEO position of Sutton Capital. Kelly Bradley struggling to pay for law school, comes up with the idea for Jack to pay her law school tuition and she will help Jack by marrying him to meet his late mothers will requirements. All is well until his Aunt decides to move in with them to prove the marriage is fake but Jack and Kelly end up falling in love. Good read and HEA, my kind of book.
This is a great story! It’s a fake marriage with a twist, a noisy secretary, conniving aunt, and an unexpected kidnapping. These two have several hurdles to overcome on the way to their HEA! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
I am not a fan of millionaire/billionaire stories but since I am a huge fan of the author, I knew I had to give this one a try. Not surprisingly , she delivered a very good story.
The book centers around CEO Jack Sutton and Kelly Bradley. She’s just been accepted into the Yale School of Law. But with the joy, comes the sadness. No way will she be able to finance her schooling.
He’s a CEO of the family company, who might just lose his position if his aunt and his deceased Mother’s will, have any say. The only way to salvage the situation, is to find a wife for a year. An impossible endeavor, since he has just days to do the deed.
That i , until a young woman walks into his office and declares herself his fiancee . A woman he doesn’t even know.
Little did either realize that from then on , their lives would change forever.
The story is engaging from page one. The main characters are very likable, and the mystery gave the book the perfect twist.
Another entertaining story by this talented author and a story worth your time.
