From a New York Times bestselling author: Sparks fly in this definitely-not-falling-in-love workplace romance between a handsome drifter chasing adventure, and a small-town jeweler who would never leave her home behind… desperate to outrun his past. When a blizzard traps him in a tiny mountaintop village, he meets a woman who tempts him with dreams he’d long since abandoned: Home. Community. Love. But other people’s livelihoods depend on him leaving for good as soon as the snow melts.
No-nonsense jeweler Angelica Parker has spent her life fighting for recognition. She’s Black, she’s a woman, and she will prove her creations are the equal to any artisan in England. With the project of a lifetime on the line, there’s no room for error—or distractions. Especially not the handsome charmer whose unquenchable cheer and melting kisses have become more precious than jewels…
Welcome to a heartwarming series of fun Regency romps nestled in a picturesque snow-covered village. After all, nothing heats up a winter night quite like finding oneself in the arms of a duke!

Most Satisfying!
Hot on the heels of ‘Dawn with a Duke’, this story gives one an idea of what the Traveling Salesman, Jonathan MacLean got up to while waiting for the Duke and Calvin (the Designer/Tailor) to arrive for their meeting.
On his arrival in the snowed in town of Cressmouth, he finds himself drawn to the Jewellery Shop where he meets up with the lovely owner, Angelica Parker.
These two, for various reasons, should not fall n love, but they do and the more she tries to push him away, the more he tries get closer.
It is a lovely story with a most satisfying ending and definitely not to be missed.
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
Loved the turns of the plot and the interactions of the characters in this story. Until they learn to look at what they have and not what they fear.
A delight, laughter aplenty, sparkling dialog that left me with a smile.
One Night with a Duke (12 Dukes of Christmas Book 10) by Erica Ridley ..I enjoyed this book which can be read as a stand-alone but it would be more fun to read Book 9 Dawn With A Duke Belle and Calvin’s story first. Jonathan has a couple of hangups including Christmas and visiting a place more than once. Angelica is a jeweler and a black woman who is trying to make a name for herself. Their journey is a funny, sad, happy, interesting trip to a HEA. I am looking forward to Book 11 TEN DAYS WITH A DUKE.
“One Night with a Duke” by Erica Ridley
Another FUN, clean, sweet Regency romance in Cressmouth otherwise known as “Christmas”. Yes, I loved this story. It is a joy to read stories that portray folks with feelings you too might have; had you the life experience(s) that they have lived. It is a joy to read stories that you feel the love between the characters while they maintain their moral standards. This is a stand alone story, although having met some of the characters in previous stories is a bonus, but not essential to enjoying this story. I do hope you will enjoy your time within this story as much as enjoyed my time with Mr. Jonathan MacLean and Miss Angelica Parker. Happy Reading ! !
Note: I received an ARC of this story from the author with the request to post an honest review.
An interracial romance brews. Angelica is a black business owner in Cressmouth. Jonathan is a visitor passing through. This story is intimately tied in with the previous one in the series as they share the same duke. It’s another charming tale as the characters wow us with their witty banter and effervescent spirit.
