Beth Poole’s got the wrong ticket to the right life… next.
But when Beth arrives in Australia things get off to a rocky start. To begin with, she’s on the wrong coast and there are deadly creatures everywhere. And if that weren’t enough, her neighbors are driving her crazy. She’s staying in the beautiful Margaret River wine region, right next door to a family-owned vineyard. It should be perfect, but the boisterous Hardy clan just don’t seem able to leave her alone. The usually reserved Beth is soon reluctantly embroiled in their family disputes and romantic entanglements. And eldest son Clayton Hardy is proving surprisingly persistent.
The more Beth gets to know Clayton, the more she sees what she wants for her future. But as the end of summer approaches, her past comes back to haunt her and tests her newfound relationship with Clayton to the limit.

This author has her finger on what her readers love and every book she writes shows it.
This scenario has many different feelings, all are interesting.
The characters are lovable and engaging.
A 5-star read.
I love this book. It has wonderful, down-to-earth characters in realistic situations and a great plot that tells their story. I’m loving the setting, too. A winery/restaurant/microbrewery/sheep ranch in Australia is a wonderful place for things to happen!
I was lucky enough to read an Advance Reader Copy of this book and can highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good story.
This is the story of Beth, a British breast cancer survivor who goes to Australia for a two month vacation. There she meets Clayton, a vintner/rancher bachelor who becomes intrigued by this waif-like Brit. Clayton, who lost his mother to cancer at a very young age, has lived his life trying to control everything that surrounds him. Needless to say, coming face-to-face with a cancer survivor whom he has fallen for throws his world into chaos. When her two month vacation is almost over, Beth and Clayton come to a crossroads regarding a future together.
This story does not shy away from the realities of cancer, specifically breast cancer. How one copes, the role of family, the strength and will to survive. And always, the fear of reoccurence. As Clayton comes to terms with the uncertainty of life, will he find the strength to love Beth through sickness and in health?
This is such a compassionate and realistic story of love and the bravery of one young woman who chooses to thrive, not just survive.
With slightly heated love scenes and adult language, I would recommend this book for mature readers. A truly great book worth reading!
I loved Beth and Clayton’s story! They both have issues about trust, life, death and love. It deals with cancer and how it affects people in different ways. When Beth goes on holiday to Australia, she runs into Clayton and is engulfed by his family and friends. Friendship turns to love, but will either admit it? Will their love last or will Beth go back to England alone? This book is part of a great series! I can’t wait for the next book!
A surprise Antipodean trip brings color back to Beth’s monotone life
4.5stars
This was a great combination of women’s fiction and romance, with the big C playing a key part in the lives of most of the major protagonists. Beth’s decimated family, her brave health decisions and the long road to acceptance of her body issues: all were handled sensitively and with realism. Such a serious and ubiquitous health issue worked into an intense courtship/romance and an optimistic conclusion after a good measure of angst.
Beth quickly runs into a handsome Aussie farmer whose own family is still dealing with a wife and mother’s sudden loss decades earlier and their family dramas just upped the emotion factor. The characters were well-wrought, right down to friendly flirt and joker Jeff, and the matriarchs of the two families were powerhouses! Plus, I loved the wry humor of Beth’s fear of Australia’s wild and how she imagines a dog breed to match her new acquaintances’ characters.
Another plus for the story was the Australian setting for ninety-five percent of the action. I am a big fan of novels set in the Antipodes.
The book seemed a bit long, but all in all it’s a great story of overcoming illness, loss, fear and vulnerability to grasp the possibility of positive change and happiness.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I read a book or so a day. So often books blur together. I read this one maybe 2 weeks ago, and it is not a blur! The characters seem like real people you would love to know. There are real heartaches, real problems but also a real romance. The book is well written (and edited)–by a husband wife team that love to travel. This book spans England and Australia. I think it takes place close to Perth around where Australia is having problems with drought and fires. This is set in Austrailia’s wine country.
The cover is really a big tip off. This is not the churn out a book a month book with a guy with a six pack on the cover. The dialogue from our hero actually sounds like a man’s voice–I had to chuckle a few times over what was said. Just get the book, I really can’t imagine anyone not enjoying it! Oh, I was lucky enough to be given this book for an honest review.
This is a well written book with strong, well developed characters in Beth and Clayton. The author does a beautiful job building the story and pulls out every emotion, delivering a heartfelt and entertaining story. It’s a sweet romance brought to life with her descriptive and vividly painted scenes. It moves at a steady pace and is a story I enjoyed and would recommend reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Man, this story elicited so many emotions. Such a lovely book. Complex characters, interesting slice of a bit of the world I don’t know, funny and witty in places, heart breaking in other, and lots of inspiration and sweet moments. Evie Snow’s Love Imperfection was perfection.
A funny, Sweet, and tough love story, about facing your fears and living your life to the fullest, and enjoying every day as it was the last and always loving the people that love you. Beth and Clayotn’s love story it’s one full of funny, sad, tough and sweet moments as life itself.
Loved, loved, loved this story. Wonderful characters. Great story lines. Would definitely recommend this book. Especially if you like reading about steamy lovemaking. I will look for more stories by the author.
A sweet story with compelling characters and an engaging premise.
Cute and fun, with a little bit of seriousness to balance it out. Nothing earth-shattering, but definitely an enjoyable summer read.
I wish the authors stuck to just two POVs the switch to include the father’s view just disrupted the story for me. It had great potential but somewhere all the characters fell flat.
Love Imperfection starts with Beth ending up in Western Australia for a vacation. A gift from her granny for her 31st birthday. While she’s changing a flat tire, wearing her winter clothes in an Australian summer, Clayton almost runs her off the road.
That is the beginning of a really great story.
Sparks fly at Evangeline’s Rest and I don’t mean the chemistry between Beth and Clayton. Lol!
It’s not only the story of Beth and Clayton. This is about his dad, Rob and a little about his granny Angie too. They’re all suffering from the loss of Pam, Clayton ‘s mother.
This is a very emotional story. A few tears, but also a lot of laughter.
I wished the ending wasn’t so abrupt.
I received an arc of this book and this is my voluntary and honest opinion.
