A second-place sister. A first-rate jock. Can the light of love shine through the darkest pain?“I am absolutely devouring this series… Jordan Ford definitely is one very talented lady, her words are all heart and emotion.”— Amazon reviewerBIANCA: Cam likes me. He’s asked me on a date. It’s kind of unbelievable. He could have any girl he wants, yet his eyes landed on me.Can this be real?Do I go for … landed on me.
Can this be real?
Do I go for it?
He’s so out of my league. I’m terrified.
I don’t think the other girls like it. Their heated glares are warning me away, and now my twin sister’s in trouble too. Stacey won’t tell me what’s wrong, but she’s acting weird and I’m worried that her boyfriend has hurt her. I need to get to the bottom of it. I’m all she has left.
Can I really make this thing with Cam a reality?
I want him so badly, but I promised Stacey I’d stick with her no matter what.
How do I protect both sides of my heart?
How do I choose between love and loyalty?

Jordan Ford surprises us with every story she writes, as they express the real feelings and problems of teenagers’ lives. And this story was wonderfully written. I found my eyes filled with tears in various parts, especially the relationship between Stacey and Bianca. Because I’m a twin, I can fully understand the feelings they share.
Bianca is the shy, reserved girl, and when the popular athlete, Cam, becomes interested in her, she is slow to believe that she really deserves his attention. As they get to know each other better and become more interested in each other, Cam has to deal with the problems at home and Bianca has to deal with Stacey and her refusal to go back to school.
Meanwhile, Cam and Tane come together to find out where the problem with Stacey originated. And Bianca finally manages to let go a bit more and invest in her relationship with Cam. There’s also the new character, Harley, who keeps secrets that I’m looking forward to finding out what they are in the next book.
This story is beautiful and very well written. Once again I loved to see the characters from previous books. I highly recommend the reading.
I truly could not love this series more. So often I find that young adult novels trivialise issues to the point of condescension, and recalling that period of time in my life, that really bothers me. Jordan Ford is an author who truly understands how to write about teens and young adults in a way that respects that phase of life and appeals to all ages of readers. This is a perfect third instalment to a series that is quickly becoming one of my absolute favourites. The emotions are genuine, the relationships so honest, and the traumas so raw… But most of all, this book gave me hope. Hope that young adults would read it and feel understood, that more mature adults would read it and understand, and that perhaps we as a society could be a little more like Beck.
This was an interesting one. This one is mainly about Stacey and Bianca. Sisters who are trying to start over after losing their parents. Bianca is the shy one who is not by any means popular. She pretty much keeps to herself. But one certain guy has her paying more attention to things around her. Cam is popular and good looking. He plays for the rugby team and is popular with a lot of the kids at school. Someone that should not like Bianca. But that doesn’t stop him from asking her out.
Stacey decides to take the next step with her boyfriend but once it happens things go horribly wrong. Stacey finds out what he did and leaves school. She immediately wants to leave and go somewhere else and not deal with any of it. But once Bianca finds out the truth things are different.
What is going to happen to these two? Are they going to be able to be happy? Will Bianca and Cam stay together or will she end up leaving with her sister? Will Stacey stand up for herself and fight back against what her boyfriend did to her?
I loved this one. It was interesting and a great storyline. You could easily feel what both of these girls are going through. I love how they stand up for each other and are there for each other even when they don’t want to be. I cant wait to see what happens next for them.
I ended this book with a sigh…an emotionally drained sigh. This is the twins story, Bianca and Stacey are so different. We watch sweet, shy nerdy Bianca fall for the cool guy. Cam is so right for her confidence. I really enjoyed their journey of love. At the same time we see the trauma that Stacey is going through. A scary reality, it’s fight or flight and she’s ready to flee. Will she confide to her family? I was teary through the last half of this book, so many feels, anger being one of them towards other characters. What a fantastic story, I’m looking forward to the next one.
A powerful, awesome love and live’s story. Everybody in the Connell Farm made a promise to stick together and help each other in everything, physically or emotionally. Will it be enough to allow Stacey face the worst nightmare ever possible? Will Bianca realise how great she is and that Cam is really interés in her? A challenging and amazing book.
Bianca is the opposite of her beautiful, popular twin sister. She is shy, the quiet one, she sees herself as plain, at best, and she isn’t sporty and thin like her twin Stacey. Cam is a jock, very popular, and gorgeous. He can have any girl he wants, but he only has eyes for Bianca, the most beautiful girl in school as far as he’s concerned. Bianca and Cam are beginning to date, but suddenly Bianca’s twin Stacey is acting strangely, and she won’t tell Bianca what’s wrong. Bianca made a promise to her twin, they will stick together no matter what, but keeping that promise could cost Bianca the boyfriend she never imagined she could have, he makes her happy.
I loved these characters, they can make you laugh, make you cry, and they are well written, convincing, and unique. I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading, it has surprising twists, one in particular, well lets just say I was horrified. When it counts, this patch work family will rally around one of there own. Fantastic, must read book.
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
I am really enjoying this series so far and happily started the third book in this series. I really like how this series follows this whole family of characters and from book to book the focus shifts a bit to different characters. It’s a romance story, but it’s so much more. It has heartbreak and hope, pain and love. And it’s such an addictive read that makes me want to keep reading even with the more difficult moments.
Shy Girl vs Popular Boy shifts the focus to Bianca, Cam and Stacey. Bianca and Cam are slowly falling for each other. And Stacey is still trying to run away from her grief. I really liked Bianca and Cam’s romance, they’re so sweet and cute together. Cam is just a genuinely nice guy and I like how sweet he is to Bianca and wants to make sure she knows how beautiful and special she is to him. He does miss how Bianca struggles to fit in with his group of popular friends at times, but I think that will be a topic for the next book.
They slowly grow closer together and in this book. But while Bianca is slowly falling for Cam, she also is worrying about Stacey, something has happened and Stacey won’t tell anyone. So she’s torn between those happy emotions and worry for her sister.
Stacey really goes through something really difficult in this book. From book 1 it was clear she was needing an escape from her grief and that sends her into the arms of a guy who might not be good for her. She so didn’t deserve what happened to her in this book and it’s so sad and heartbreaking seeing her have to deal with this. It was beautiful when she finally opens up to Beck and he is there for her like a parental figure. He might not have wanted that role, but he is handling it in an awesome way. And now I am so curious for the rest of the story, it feels like she’s gone trough this hardship now and hopefully this paves the way for a sweet guy to show her love. There’s even a hint of who that guy might be. And I want to see her get through this and find her happiness.
So this book is all about the twins. It was nice to have those happy moments of Bianca and Cam’s romance to cancel out the darker and sadder moments of what Stacey is going through. But in a sense it all ties together well too. I liked how we see how these twins care about each other and also how Cam plays a role in the whole situation and how he is there for Stacey as well now that he’s falling for Bianca.
And while this book ends in a good place, I just can’t wait for the next book. Bianca and Cam’s romance clearly only has just started and they still have things to deal with. Like Bianca’s low self esteem and body image struggles and there’s also a bit of set-up with some girls who don’t like her. Then there is Cam’s home situation and while I get he wants to hide that from Bianca, but I hope he opens to her about it. Then there is Stacey who has gone through a lot and I just want to know how her story continues and how she’ll find love.
While the focus is on Bianca, Cam and Stacey, just like in the previous books we also see bits of the other characters. I like how Harper and Thane still play a role here as well. It’s fun to see how they interact with each other and slowly become more of a family. Thane is Cam’s best friend so there’s plenty of him around. It’s fun to see Harper and Thane from the other characters point of view now. There isn’t as much about Willow and Oscar in this book as they aren’t as close to the twins, but that makes sense. I also like how we see Beck be there for Stacey in this book. It was awesome.
To summarize: This was another great installment in this series. There is filled with heartbreak and hope, pain and love. I like how this series is written form multiple point of views and different characters take the spotlight in different books. This book focuses on Bianca, Cam and Stacey. Bianca and Cam are slowly falling for each other and their romance was so sweet. It’s clear there is still more to their story, but this book ends in a good spot. Stacey is going through something really difficult in this book and it was so sad to see her have to deal with this. I am really curious to see how her story continues. We still see plenty of Harper and Thane as well, even though we don’t get their points of view. And I like how Beck really is there for Stacey in this book. It was an awesome read and I can’t wait for the next book to see how this series continues.
Shy Girl vs Popular Boy is the third book in the Forever Love series, and now the focus moves to Bianca, Cam, and Stacey.
Cam likes Bianca but has a horde of girls who wants his attention. He doesn’t think anything of it as he is not interested in them, but Bianca sees it. With her low self-esteem she wonders how he could ever really like her. These two swing backward and forward throughout the book, but it does give them a HFN finish.
Stacey plays a huge part in this book, and although her storyline does impact Bianca and Cam, I felt it almost overshadowed them at times. Don’t get me wrong, what she goes through is horrendous, and Bianca and Cam SHOULD be there for her, just like everyone else. It just felt like this story almost matched Bianca’s life – pushed to the background for Stacey.
Saying that, I still really enjoyed this story, and can’t wait for the next installment in this series that is turning into a family saga rather than ‘just’ a contemporary romance. This family is intertwined, now and forever, and I sincerely want to continue to find out about all of them!
I have no hesitation in recommending this book, but due to the intertwining, I would recommend you start at book one, otherwise you will miss out!

I really love Bianca and Cam as a couple. So far, they are my favorite in this series. Jordan Ford has done an amazing job of developing these characters and their stories as they try to adjust to their new lives following the loss of their parents. I’ve enjoyed following this family from the beginning and can’t wait to see what the future holds for each of them.
