A quick read, this was one of the few times that the ultimate solution was one I had reached as well. The sixth Lester & Thomas collaboration makes a good story with interesting characters, a touch of magic, and a ghost.
When Paige left Comfort Cove Texas to visit her boyfriend in Boston, she expected a sweet romantic Valentine’s weekend and a timely return to her bookstore. Instead, she’s quickly embroiled in a murder and has been set up to be the main suspect. Told not to leave Boston, she cancels her return flight and digs in to find the real story. Follow along on the latest adventure as Paige, with the help of the victim’s ghost, a potion, and a timely intervention, finally gets to the truth of the matter.

Meatballs to die for. When Paige flies to Boston to spend Valentine’s Day with her boyfriend Marco, she gets more than she bargained for. On her first day she visits Marco at the restaurant where he is a sous chef, and the food critic who was going to write a glowing review about Marco’s meatballs, is murdered, and someone is trying to frame Paige with the knife from her table setting. But even though the critic told Marco before he was murdered that his meatballs were wonderful, several other restaurant staff say that the critic sent them back claiming they had an odd taste. With so many possible suspects Paige is going to need a little magic and the help of her familiar and the ghost of the deceased to crack the case. Paige has very much missed her beau Marco while he was away in Boston. A famous chef gave him a job that allowed him to stay in the US. He became a bit of a darling with many locals there. When Paige visits and lets slip that a reviewer wants to print a favorable review in important publications on Marco and his skills, things get lethal
Can the truth and true love keep this cute couple together? They are a real recipe for excitement and adventure!

Just in time for Valentines Day. Fun cozy mystery to read while waiting for your significant other to get ready.
Love is in the air. It is Valentines Day. Everything is wonderful. Or is it?
Paige and Marco have been separated and she is going to visit him for HVD and see his new job (that saved him from being deported?). She is running late and therefore not “properly dressed” for the restaurant. Doesn’t make a difference you want to see and be with your love, right? No problem. Problem is that while eating and waiting for Marco , someone dies at the restaurant. Paige has to help solve the murder.
Lots of rabbit trails to follow. Don’t get caught on the wrong one. Have you figured out why Marco’s meatballs are so special? I did. Hard to believe this is book six in this series. Amazing.
Fun, easy to read, read in a day. Can be read as standalone, so do not worry if starting here, will not be lost. Enjoy it.
Thus is my honesty and freely give n review. I did receive an ARC book.
Even though I had the murderer pegged from the start, I still loved how this story unfolds as Paige visits boyfriend Marco in Boston. When the food critic turns up dead, In the competitive world of restaurants, they quickly learn no one is who they seem and to trust no one. Between mob connections, a manipulative chef looking out for himself, and a daughter who appears to be the black sheep of the family, danger lurks at every corner.
