Very sweet age gap story, I really enjoyed it!
I loved Edmund and Owen. I loved their relationship, and their story. I loved reading their story, and watching their relationship begin and grow and become what it did. Edmund and Owen were the perfect fit for each other, they balanced each other out.
I found this M/M work to be just as lovely to read as the other work by Keaton I’ve read. The main characters had fantastic growth and their interactions were adorable to watch. I found the plot to be just fantastic and sweet. Watching these two characters fall for each other was great and I found I couldn’t put it down.
I give this a five out of five stars. The whole story, plot and characters were adorable and sweet. I look forward to more works by this author.

I’ve read several books written by Elle Keaton; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

Edmond comes to the USA because his best friend moved there to be with the man he loved. Through work he meets Owen and crushes on him. Owen sees Edmond as someone special. They care for each other but are afraid to make a move. I really enjoyed this book.
The story of Edmund and Owen is sweet and captivating. The characters are adorable, the plot refreshing. I especially love that Edmund is not your typical 6 pack hunk, but rather a normal nice guy everyone can relate to. I enjoyed reading this book immensely and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Some people are gorgeous on the inside! Edmund, software engineer thought his client Jude Collin’s assistant, Owen was cute. He lingered during visits to talk to Owen. He accepted he was a little overweight, so it was a bit of carry on baggage. Owen, worked as assistant to Jude, who wasn’t necesarily a nice man. Owen, along with the family, paid for Aunt Pearl’s residency in an assisted living home. Owen had a bit of baggage that tripped him up a few times. After an unfortunate event, Edmund accompanied Owen to visit Aunt Pearl in the hospital. Aunt Pearl adored Edmund much to Owen’s embarrassment. A weather event ensured they would spend more prolonged personal time togehter. Does Owen get over his embarrassment? Does Edmund mind the unexpected adventure? How does Jude handle Owen’s absence from work? Does Aunt Pearl recover? Nice follow-on story from Chance and John. Edmund and Owen are delightful. Can they put their baggage down and open up to each other? Well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Over the Hill is a sweet holiday, age gap, forced proximity story about Edmund and Owen. Edmund offers to go with Owen to see if his Aunt is okay after a fall because Owen doesn’t have a car at the moment. Snow closes the road back home so they end up staying in a cabin for a couple of nights. It’s just what they need to get the heat going. They really are so good for each other. This is another wonderful story that should be enjoyed again and again. Definitely recommend.

A nice holiday romance is always a good idea. Edmund and Owen find their happiness in each other and they’re better for it. This story is sweet with a happily ever after that just makes you smile. A tad bit of drama but nothing that overpowers the love story. One slightly off-putting “villain”, Andy, but he is put in his place by Jude, rather quickly, which makes you like him after a bit. A good story with a good conclusion.

It’s not all about looks…its about the person.
This really is a sweet story about two opposites that finds so much more than friendship…they find forever love. Edmund you can say has “imperfections” and he believed a lot of what people perceived him to be. So he is kind of shy and has a little low self esteem. He meets Owen and wishes he was brave to win over the younger man. Owen is the stereotypical pretty boy who is considered a player. Owen sees so much more in Edmund that all the older man has to do is smile and it brightens his day. Luck has it that both are thrown in a delightful situation that they get to know each other more and feelings blossoms. As romance goes this is really nice. Low to no angst. A very enjoyable, feel good romance. I recommend (but not necessary) reading Elle’s The Northstar first because you meet Edmund’s friends who are featured in the story throughout.

Owen Addison (the younger reformed playboy) and Edmund Lake (the shy bachelor) connect in a beautifully angst-free holiday romance. So many of the best tropes are here: the gorgeous winter landscape, the unexpected snowed in moment, the holiday cheer. I love the way the characters communicate so well together, and how they build their bond as much on emotional as physical intimacy. If you’re looking for a feel-good seasonal romance, this book is good fit.

Over the Hill tells the story of Owen and Edmund that get stranded by a snowstorm and how they end up falling in love. It was extremely well written and was a heartwarming story. The characters are interesting and develop over the course of the book. The story started with more characters in the Northstar, but both can be read as a standalone as there are a HEA and no cliffhangers.

Owen is an attractive young man who works as a PA. He can get any man he wants but just doesn’t want them for more than a night. He is use to dating hot guys with no substance and though he is good looking, he is actually shy around men who he thinks are out of his league cause they have money and fancy jobs and he’s just barely getting by.
Edmund is a older successful man who is rather insecure about his looks and age. He also happens to be a 40+ year old virgin. He visits Owens boss regularly to talk business. He and Owen small talk often while he waits but neither has had the guts to ask the other out.
While making said small talk one day, Owen receives a call that his great aunt had been rushed to the hospital 3 hours away. He panics and questions out loud how he can get there quick when he doesn’t have a car and Edmund offers to drive him, saying he had nothing to do anyways. Desperate Owen agrees and they go to what should have been a day trip but a blizzard had other plans and they end up at a cabin alone for days.
This is a quick read. Under 4 hours and the story is interesting and well written so it was a definite page turner that I read all at once. Both the main characters were enjoyable and well devloped. They clicked right away and had great chemistry. The story is heartwarmly sweet and also sexy with no angst. Simply 2 guys finally finding someone who appreciates them for what they got on the inside. Thank goodness for mother nature bringing this perfect pair together and obviously Elle.
It is a bit insta love feeling and Edmunds first time kinda threw me a bit. Not what I was expecting for his first time with the theme involved. So thats what made it just shy of 5 stars for me.
Sweet, unassuming Edmund is introduced in “The NorthStar” novella as Chance’s best friend, so I recommend reading that book before this one. He is attracted to Owen, a reformed playboy – we don’t see his playboy activities, but hear a little bit about it. This story is only about Edmund and Owen’s interactions and relationship. I haven’t read all of the “Accidental Roots” series yet, so maybe Owen is in there somewhere, but you don’t need to have read all of them to enjoy this story.
The ARC had a few proofreading issues, but nothing too bad.
I loved Edmund in NorthStar. He has now moved to America. He meets Owen at the app company that he freelances at. I love how they both crush on each other! Edmund seemed so real; he’s got so many insecurities! They go on a road trip to see Owen’s Aunt Pearl in the hospital and get stuck in a snowstorm. They end up in a cabin. I loved all the troupes in this, the fake boyfriend, opposites attract, and older/younger men. Really good holiday story, sooo good! I am voluntarily leaving a review form an advance copy that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
I’ve read this author before. This is a mm contemporary novella set in the USA at Christmas time. Main characters are American Owen and Englishman Edmund. A beautiful story about find the right person to love. I’ll read more from this author.
