Midnight Sun is the first book in a new paranormal urban fantasy. The Author, Laurel Night, has come up with a brilliant new twist to the Vampire stories. I found this book to be well written, very entertaining and with plenty of unexpected surprises to make it impossible to stop until the end. The main characters were convincing and I found myself in tears a few times when I didn’t know how the story would finish, definitely worth reading and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series. This book would be suitable for older teens and and adults and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my review.
When I picked up this book, I thought it was just another vampire story. Imagine my delight when I discovered how wrong I was! Forget what you knew about vampires. Ms. Night has taken the traditional myth of vampires and added a sci-fi twist that gives the story a unique and fresh approach to vampire lore. The story was excellently written, with well-developed characters, amazing descriptions and flawless narrative. Good-paced, full of slightly angsty romance, this first book ends on a happy note. Although I can’t say there’s a cliffhanger, there are a lot of issues yet to be resolved and I’m definitely reading the next book in the series!
Midnight Sun was such a good book. I loved the storyline and the characters. Both are well written and enjoyable. Looking forward to reading more. I definitely recommend reading.

It’s kinda slow at the beginning, yet was intriguing to say the least.. loved the bond between Lulu and Em.. Loved that she couldn’t be complete even when she was with the love of her life as she left Lucy.. Amazing!! now I need Mick and Lucy together.. can’t wait for the next one..
