It was meant to be a crusade against dating apps…but what Veronica had not counted on was that Joel Marketis had joined the same app. The hot-as-hell footballer Veronica had crushed on in high school. And that he’d ask her out on a date…VeronicaDamn Joel Marketis was hot! So why was he asking her out through a dating app? The super hot Patriots footballer didn’t exactly need a dating app to … exactly need a dating app to meet women. And if he was like all the rest of the men on those dating apps — players with no manners looking for quick sex — then she wasn’t interested. Besides, she was just using the app to prove her point: dating apps have created a terrible hookup culture.
But as the dates get hotter, the clothes come off and the sex gets heated, Veronica may just lose track of her goal…but is Joel as nice as he seems? Or is this just an act to promote the dating app.
Joel
Veronica. His high-school crush. A firecracker lawyer to be. A hot-as-hell woman. He hadn’t planned on meeting her through the app. He hadn’t planned on meeting anyone. He has his sexual needs taken care. Thank you very much.
So why is he so attracted? Life of a sportsman with its highs and lows is bringing him down. He is done with one night stands and wants a real woman. Someone he can have a real conversation with. Veronica seems like that person.
Except Veronica is nothing like he expected…and what she does to him between the sheets…ahh….

This was a quick and enjoyable read and not at all what I thought it would be. Joel is a good-looking star professional football player who also happens to be just an all-around great guy. Veronica is a recent Law School graduate who is intent on righting all the wrongs done to women in todays world. She believes that online dating apps may be the cause of the increase in attacks on women and decides the best way to get to the bottom of the problem is to sign up as a participant. When she finds out that Joel (who she just happened to have a crush on in high school) turns out to be her perfect match it seems too good to be true. There are plenty of mixed signals that made me wonder whether or not they would get their HEA. Great book and I encourage your to purchase and read.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest and totally voluntary review.
This is a fun story about two people both with agendas for joining a dating pp. He needs more money to fund his children’s centre She wants to highlight the problems in dating apps.
Veronica is a Harvard law graduate determined to bring justice to the world and he latest target is dating Apps Joel is a NFL player who needs more ready cash for his children’s program they are matched together They know one another they went to the same school a few years apart but even then they had a crush on one another Things are going great until Veronica makes a bad decision on only half the information Can they come back from it and have a future together You will have to read to see
She has decided to show that dating apps are not to be trusted and the men on there are only out for one thing and not a meaningful romance. He is a well known football player and has all he wants with everything including sex. But it all seems sort of empty with not a lot of substance in them. He has had a crush on here ever since school. She has had one on him for the same amount of time too. They both get a lot of surprises with the other one and what they thought they were in some ways. It is exciting, emotional, humorous, intriguing, hot and much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
5 stars
I received a free copy of the steamy novel The Right Swipe: An Online Dating Romance by Amanda Horton and this review was given freely
A rocky sports and political centered second chance at love romance with lots of drama and realistic characters. When Boston Massachusetts Harvard Law graduate Veronica expands her championship for women’s rights from picketing Tech companies to include regulation of dating apps, she is reunited with her high school crush, The New England Patriots’ running back and philanthropic playboy, Joel Marketis who recently signed on to endorse his college best friend Derick’s new dating app Duets in exchange for the funds to add on to the town’s Westgate Children’s Center he sponsors.
Loved Joel and Veronica from start to finish, They both liked each back in high school. They have HOT chemistry thats off the hook, I definitely recommend this book, I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy. Loved Amanda
Great Balance Between Sizzling and Suweeet
I fell in love with Joel. What’s not to love, really? He’s a star NFL player so he’s got the ripped bod and confidence to go with it. But not the cockiness or arrogance. Something else truly wonderful about this man…he may make tons of money, but he doesn’t waste it. He puts it to good use–not on frivolous things that won’t last, but on young people whose lives really need some major help. This guy has an awesome heart.
Then there’s the very driven, very passionate Veronica. She has a good heart as well, but she can be swayed by past history and preconceived notions. That means that they’re mostly a great match, but there may be a few bumps in the road yet…
One of my favorite parts of this novel is the fact that the all-consuming passion Veronica and Joel have spills over into everything they do. While their romance is steamy and seductive, it’s still sweet and beautiful. Another amazing fact is that the author chose not to include gratuitous adult language throughout the story. In fact, I don’t recall any cuss words at all, which is pretty astounding for a novel about a football player. The language wasn’t missed. This is a great story with tons of heart, beautiful characters, and a feel-good story line that stays with you.
Awesome read. Well done.
I absolutely loved this book and everything about it just makes you smile and swoon at the same time. I adore this authtor and how she manages to find an incredible balance in her books. Amanda Horton is a true talent, perfectly balancing laughter, swoony moments, and heat. This delightfully modern love story hits all the right notes. Amanda knows exactly what romance readers want, and delivers at every turn. You don’t want to miss out on this little gem of a book. Happy reading!!
Joel and Veronica went to the same school many years ago. They Both looked at each other from afar, but nothing more happened.
Fast forward… Both sign up on an on-line date app. Even of they Both are looking for someone to love, that is not the reason any of them had, when they signed up.
By luck? They were matched up together.
Rest is history, as they say, except for a couple of bumps on the road.
It was a fast paced and fun read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
Sweet, funny sexy cold be describe this story. Amanda is out ot prove that dating apps do not work, when she is tagged by Joel and class school mate and NFL star football player. What started out as a crusade will soon turn out differently. The story is entertaining and captivating at the same time. I honestly volunteered to review this arc.
I thought that this was a very good read. The book has a cute storyline, a fun couple, clever banter and steamy chemistry. I loved the sparks and emotions that fly between Veronica and Joel. This is a very enjoyable book that will make you smile and brighten your day.
