The Rutledge family Christmas always sucks, but Quinn has his beloved cousins, Delia and Baylor: all three same-age, look-alike blond partners in crime who always have each other’s backs, whether it’s saving Baylor from Grandfather’s ire or telling off the roving gang of brats. Baylor once chopped off her hair to make Quinn feel better. Delia punched people in the face for him. Quinn picked Delia … Delia up from parties at 3 am. They’re tight as tight can be.
Quinn, Ellis, and Amory are all settled in for the Hallmark family Christmas before the boys leave for the Culliver twins’ three-day Christmas party on Tybee — Quinn’s cousin Baylor in tow, and Delia soon to meet them. Ellis only tells his boys one thing: BEHAVE WHILE YOU’RE GONE.
The beach house looks like pipe bomb of tinsel and fake snow exploded. The hot tub has multi-colored blinker bulbs strung up and set to disco. As the liquor passes from hand-to-hand, Delia and Baylor turn from Quinn’s staunchest allies to terrible teases who embarrass him at every turn. As Quinn’s misery reaches a Scrooge-ish rock-bottom, something has to give. Christmas is about family. But what happens when your family sucks?
A holiday story about the power of family and the special bonds between the people who grow up together, Christmas Cousins shows the real tangles, trouble, and most of all, the special love that binds cousins together.
Southern Scandal’s novella Christmas Cousins tells the story of the same party detailed in Southern Seduction’s What Christmas Means and Low Country Lovers’s Learning to Love Christmas. All three novellas should be read in the context of their series, but differ enough in details and perspective to be read together.

I love Quinn, Ellis, and Amory so much and this novella is so much fun. Even though Ellis gave a hard no to the invitation, Quinn and Amory both go to the Christmas party that Wills, Henry, and Crispin throw at their beach house. In this book we see more of the relationship Quinn has with Delia and his other cousin Baylor. Both of them drive him nuts throughout the weekend, but in the end they remember why they’re so close out of everyone else in their family. They get each other and prove to one another what family really means as opposed to the stiffling ways of their other family.
There are a lot of sweet moments between Quinn and Amory, as Amory has to talk Quinn down a few times when his cousins become too much. There’s drinking and smoking and a bunch of young people having fun and getting to spend the holiday season with those who really matter after their respective families drive them nuts.
Wills and his twin Henry decide to throw a three-day Christmas party at their beach house and they invite all of their friends.
In this book we get the story from Quinn and Amory’s perspective. This one was my favorite. I can’t help loving Quinn just a little bit more. I feel for him, I really do. He’s so insecure, he can’t always see that his friends are teasing him in a loving way and it breaks my heart. He’s doing better in this book though. Amory is there to comfort him and help him see. I did miss Ellis but I understand why he couldn’t be with them at the party.
The family bonds, the friendships, the festive mood and the steamy scenes made this book just amazing.
Also, I can’t wait for Bastian’s story, he sounds so interesting.
Wonderful characters, beautiful storytelling, a great Christmas read. 5/5 bright stars.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review
This is one book in a set of three revolving around a Christmas blow out that Wills and his twin Henry throw at their beach house in Tybee.
This is told from Quinn and Amory’s perspective.
I don’t like to give spoilers for books, I love to give readers the chance to discover the delights for themselves. That being said I fell in love with Quinn he’s so sweet and vulnerable and I love the way Amory tries to look after him.
I highly recommend this book to all those like me discovering these characters and to all those who already love them.
I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions states are my own .
This is a great look into Quinn, Ellis and Amory . After the three of them have their little family Christmas Quinn and Amory go off to the beach house with the twins. While they might not listen to what Ellis says the two of them do grow closer together . In his book we see the family side of things for Quinn . I love how the author basically shows us that you can’t change who you family is but even if your friends/family embarrassed you or hurt you they will be the first ones to have your back and care for you. The twins are great . I loved this book and it is a must read !
This book was given to me as an ARC, all opinions are my own.
After a family Christmas with Ellis along with hot chocolate, stories and cuddles, Quinn and Amory is sent off to celebrate with their friends, promising to behave.
The boys did very little that Ellis would approve of, but I loved how it brought Quinn and Amory even closer, I needed to see Amory take care of Ellis to truly cement him in the relationship. And his care for Quinn is the sweetest kind.
Where Ellis is strict and rewarding, Amory loves to cuddle and look after Quinn, to coax him out when he is upset, how ever long it takes.
What insecurities Quinn had about his friends is broken down slowly in this book, showing they know him better than he thinks and care more than he knows.
I like meeting the others which I have gotten to know in the other books, and who’s stories I still have left to know the end of.
A look into the holidays with Ellis, Amory and Quinn, now that things are finally going good for the guys a quiet little Christmas at home to start is just the right touch. A Christmas ornament exchange, a movie, and time spent together just hits the spot. Then Quinn is off to deal with his parents and family, and then him and Amory are going out to the beach house with the gang. Quinn can have such a hard time when the cousin tease him, so it’s a good thing Amory is there to take care of him, but as time goes by Quinns’ reminded over and over how much he is loved. Then back home to Eliis to finish up the holidays with his two favorite men. Really enjoy reading this, it’s a well written, fast reading, entertaining story that has you so wrapped up in it that you just can’t put it down till it’s all done, and your left wanting more.
Quinn has it bad at he’s family Christmas. Him and Amory go to the twins Christmas beach house where there is a group of people. The last thing Ellis says is to behave. So the question is Did they? Definitely a must read.
